So everything started off great and Brian was very helpful before and very helpful during the wedding. And everything seemed great.

However after the wedding, Brian became virtually un-reachable. it took us at least 6 months to receive the draft copy of our DVDs. And the only change we requested was that he change the color font of the menu of the scenes on the DVD. And he then became un-reachable. He did not respond to calls or emails. It was getting to the point that we though we would have to report him to BBB. After 4 more months and several excuses (he was in an accident, death in the family, over seas on business) we received our DVDs.... about a month and a half shy of our 1 year anniversary.

We are happy, very happy with the video/DVDs we just weren't sure if we would ever get them since he never returned emails or phone calls.

Awful draged out experience.
We signed with him Sept. '08 for our wedding in June '09, everything went relativly fine leading up to and including the day of the wedding but that was where it ended. After the wedding it took until Jan '10 for us to receive the preview copy of the DVD which had numerous errors (same scene repeated twice at different parts of the film, footage of him moving the camera pointing at the ground, etc.)
When the list of editing changes was given to him it was only met with excuses and promised dates of when we would have the final copy of the film. When asked about the status of various pieces of footage that were missing (interview camera), he gave no response until we asked for the 4th time, saying he didn't know.

****A lawsuit was filed against him in Sept '10 in order to obtain the DVD**** and on the day of court he didn't show up and therefore lost the case. As of yet we haven't been able to obtain the DVD or a refund of the money we had wasted on his "services" which severely lacked anything resembling professionalism or pride in his work.

Visual Ventures is HIGH RECOMMENDED!!!!! You will not go wrong...trust me!!!! When we first met with Brian, I already had ideas and he was able to create all of them!! Brian has got to be the one of the best people to work with. He was so patient with us and extremely knowledgeable about filming it was great!! He responds very quick and was so flexible with his schedule for meeting with us on numerous occassions for our "project". My sister also had Brian when she got married and his work is amazing. If theres any special request he is able to work with you on meeting it. He was also able to work with us on our budget! Our wedding ceremony and reception was pretty long and he was able to stay the entire day/night capturing all the craziness on the dancefloor. We can't wait to see the video!!! :)

Brian was so much fun to work with! He worked really well with our photographer, Classic Creations, which was a huge plus ... and he found some FUN shots and created some great moments...Bridal Party and I set up playing Rock Band was a classic :)

Since our wedding, I have had several guests approach me and comment on how much they loved Brian and how hard he worked. We loved Brian's personality and work from our first meeting. There was no doubt that we wanted to use him. We were on a pretty tight budget and Brian was able to work with us to get a price that worked for us. He also worked well with our photographer. They help each other and work in a manner so each could get the shots they wanted without blocking the other. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.

Brain was wonderful and funny and made us all forget he was the "man behind the camera!!!" He worked great with our photographers and the other vendors and was a professional 1000%!.

We love our wedding DVD! Not only am I beyond thankful my husband talked me into getting one, I am grateful we choice Visual Ventures. Brian was professional at every meeting, which we had two of before the wedding allowing us to specify exactly what we wanted out of our wedding DVD. Both Brian and his associate were friendly and discrete the day of the wedding. It took a little longer to get the DVD back then I had expected but it was well worth the wait, and with the preview copy we got to make changes to assure the end product was perfect. Brian really captured moments of our big day that we would never have know about if it weren’t for him being there. I would highly recommend Visual Ventures

Brian from Visual Ventures is very easy to work with, his quality of work is excellent and very personal.

This was a very hard review to give... He had so much promise, very responsive, very professional and seemed like a great deal before the wedding. During the wedding same thing, timely, professional and like my photographer very eager to lend a hand so far as keeping us on schedule. So far as keeping me calm and being there I would give him a 5. However, I was not entirely pleased with my wedding video, saying it mildly. He was very nice and redo a lot of it for me, but to be honest I'm still not happy. The thing that bothered me the most is there is an ENTIRE HOUR missing from my video (the cocktail hour) that I paid for, but got no footage of. At first I thought maybe he was setting up, but as you can see by my above reviews the entire wedding was at one location. Maybe it was my fault for not clearly stating my expectations, but in the end I was not left satisfied.

We were very excited to get our video back, but were disappointed that it was not at all what we had seen from his samples and was also late. There was no real opening, it just opened to guests walking down the aisle. I had asked for a shot of our invitation which I provided, but he didn't use it. I also asked for scenery around the church, not done either. He also only included about 2 hours of our reception, which was 7 hours. So imagine how much footage was left on the floor. There was also no opening to the reception part either. Just opened to cocktail hour. I asked him for the raw footage to review because of our DJ, and thank God I did. There was so much stuff on there that I would never have seen if I hadn't paid for the raw footage. His editing was not good at all or these things would have been in the rough draft to start with. I basically watched all of the raw myself and told him what minutes to add. We ended with a beautiful DVD. The only trouble with delivery was that most of the copies were skipping and he had to keep remaking them At the end, he told me I had to come to him to pick up my final copies, I live in Dulles, he is in Springfield. Why should I have to drive to him, I hired him not the other way around. My husband went all that way to get them and then he called and said they were the wrong copies and he would mail out the correct ones, not at all happy about that wasted trip. Also, he rarely returned phone calls or emails. I had to practically badger him. I could not get ahold of him to confirm everything until 2 days before my wedding. For the price, great job once it was edited correctly. He was willing to give us as many copies as we wanted at no extra charge. He also was able to take still shots from the footage and put them on a CD for me since some shots were better than the photograohers. Would recommed him if you have the time to communicate with him A LOT and make it very clear what you want and don't want.
