I'm so conflicted on this review. I had horrific experiences and wonderful experiences with this venue during the near year and a half I had them booked before my wedding day. Initially, my husband and I fell in love with the venue and with the owner/operator Kim and the rest of her staff. We cancelled our other venue viewings we had scheduled because we knew we had found "the one". Everything went smoothly as far as booking and communications went up until the day we were scheduled to view samples of our floral arrangements and do a tasting of our food. My parents drove almost 8 hours to come with us, and to make a long story short, Kim completely forgot about our appointment. We had already been waiting almost two months after picking our flowers/food initially with them, and because she forgot the appointment that she scheduled, we had to wait another month to see the results. From there, everything went downhill. My parents came back for the next appointment (which went relatively smoothly), only to get an email two days later saying that another payment was due. This happened more than once, which was quite aggravating, because then we had to mail a check instead of just giving it to her when we were there. I had to email her three times, her daughter another time, and finally call and complain before I got a response when asking questions regarding our band's setup time. She then lied and said she had emailed me three times, but it must have gone in my junk folder. Funny how when she finally did email me the response, it showed up in my inbox just fine. Not wanting to rant forever, there were more small things that happened that had my husband and I wishing we had booked a different venue, but as another reviewer mentioned, there is no backing out. I will say that on the wedding day, everything went flawlessly smooth. Kim and her staff were great and the wedding and reception was beautifully done. While we were on our honeymoon, Kim called my mom to let her know that they forgot to give us all of our gift envelopes we had received. The lack of organization and sometimes plain rudeness exhibited by the staff was unsettling at times...but I suppose where it matters, they made up for it. However, the stress and frustration up until the big day was not worth it in the least...if I could go back, I'd book a different venue for sure.

Villa St. Clair was awesome! They really take care of you and make it a stress free day! They have someone there to help with anything. I felt so relaxed this day and loved this venue. We got married there June 18, 2011 and are so happy! We just wish we could go back and do it all over again.

Our wedding experience at Villa St. Clair was nothing short of amazing. For starters, they were incredible during the planning phase. Staff were very patient, helpful, and understanding. They provided great recommendations on food and decorations. On the day of the event, they absolutely pampered the wedding party and took especially good care of us, the bride and groom. Before and after the ceremony, we were never without a snack or something to drink. There was always someone there to help with anything.

The ceremony was flawless. The venue was everything and more than we had imagined. The hors d'oeuvres were amazing, staff were on top of everything, and the dinner was simply outstanding. I received so many compliments on the beauty of the event and how wonderful the food tasted and was presented. To date, I have received not a single complaint (we had nearly 200 in attendance).

To end the evening, they ensured that we had some water and snacks loaded into our car for the evening. Then staff helped family and friends load up the gifts and other wedding left-overs .

To sum it all up, we literally felt like we had under-paid at the end of it all. Our experience from beginning to end is a 10 out of 10!!

We got married at the Villa St. Clair 2 weeks ago. We couldn't have found a place more perfect for us. We were really impressed with how easily our wedding flowed. The wedding coordinators at the venue really helped make us feel comfortable, which of course lowered our stress. They were very attentive and left us with little to worry about. Everything went so smooth. This venue provides the catering and flowers. We were very impressed with both, especially the flowers. The venue is in a secluded part of Austin. It's a nice peaceful drive and a gorgeous facility. There is a ballroom there that is absolutely beautiful (high ceilings, candle lit, crystal chandeliers). Everyone at our wedding told us how beautiful the venue was. Our families were also really impressed by how the wedding coordinators handled everything.
