We had such a wonderful wedding thanks to Victoria banquets! Everyone loved the food and were non stop taking about how gorgeous the hall was. The chandeliers and view were so pretty. Made it such an elegant look.
we worked with Jennifer Tomassetti and she is amazing! From the second we met her we fell in love with her. She is so warm and inviting and you can tell how excited she really is about weddings. She is so preofessional and she isn't trying to screw uou around like other places we looked at. She made our day so special and did everything possible to make sure we got everything we wanted. I wish I could get married again just because of how good of an experience we had with this venue! Collette was with us also on our day and asked us numerous times what she can do for us. Everyone was so nice and we could not be happier!
We used them to cater our wedding at the Grand Piazza and they did an amazing job. We worked with Eric and he was very easy to work with, just a great guy. We had multiple guests tell us how attentive he was and how delicious the food was. One of our favorite parts of the wedding planning process was attending the huge menu tasting that Victoria's had, we literally got to try all of the items they offered on their menu. A great company with excellent food!
We worked mostly with Eric Gazda and Jennifer Tomasetti who are true professionals and made everything smooth and seamless! We were interested in seeing the Beau Jolie location and as soon as we walked in, we were instantly in love. The beautiful chandeliers and large windows surrounding the entire room gave it a lofty feel and a mixture of traditional and contemporary, which as it turns out is just what I was looking for! The food and staff are also amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our wedding was three months ago and people are still raving about the service, food and how beautiful the room was!
My wedding is on 12.13.14 and so far Lisa has been great! The food has always been delicious at the tastings and I actually won something at a tasting!
The venue where we held our wedding had a list of preferred caterers to use and Victoria Banquets was one of them. After reviewing online menus and pricing we put them on our short list and contacted them for more information. After attending a tasting, there was no question of using them to cater our wedding.
Lynn and the other staff members were all extremely professional and helpful. They worked with the venue staff to ensure everything was set up the way we wanted and accommodated our last minute changes with flexibility and good nature. Not only were they affordable, the food was excellent and plentiful. We received so many compliments from our guests on how good everything tasted. Their professionalism and attention to detail created a stress-free reception and for that I am truly grateful. I would recommend their catering services to anyone looking for excellent food and service at a reasonable price.
Had our ceremony and reception at the rosemont location the food was Devine and service was great planning in less than a year was hard but they made it work for me
I want to personally thank Lynn from Victoria Banquets and Catering. She was wonderful through the entire process! She always got back to me in a timely manner and answered all of the questions that I came up with. She was also at the venue on the big day to help out in any way needed. At one time she helped pass out bubbles and she helped bustle my dress before my first dance when we forgot. I always had a drink in my hand and she even saved a plate of appetizers for me and my husband! Eric was also a big help. He kept things running smoothly in the kitchen. All the food went out at the appropriate time and he made sure we had enough alcohol. I would definitely recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a caterer!
We used Victoria's as our caterer for our venue, Grand Piazza, so we did not actually used any of Victoria's spaces -- though we did visit beaujolie for a tasting and it was really pretty! For catering, we loved the value -- the prices seemed to be cheaper maybe because they're in the suburbs as opposed to the city. We had some flexibility for choosing our menu like getting rid of the soup and dessert and using that towards appetizers served during cocktail hour. Though the food was flexible, we were disappointed they only served Miller products and we couldn't have Budweiser, but that wasn't a deal breaker.guests won't care what it is if it's open bar ;) Patricia was very sweet and helpful when we met in person for planning the menu, signing the contract, tastings, etc but through email and phone the communication was a bit more difficult. At times, I think she confused us with other clients. After a while; I started including Octavia, who seems to be Patricia's assistant; on email communications and that did seem to help them get answered sooner. For the day of, we worked with Eric who was Awesome!! I was a bit worried about not meeting him until the week of the wedding and knowing he would be in charge of everything, but when we met and he and I right away agreed on having two bars instead of the one, I knew I was in good hands :) The wait staff were Wonderful and we've heard from several guests at all different tables that their servers were polite and friendly, and willing to chat and have fun with the guests. In particular, my husband's 95 year old grandmother was so touched that her server -- whose name I didn't catch unfortunately -- got down to his knee to speak with her in her wheelchair and came back later in the night to chat when he saw she was alone! The staff also gathered everything for us and had it all on a cart ready to go at the end, along with our cake and leftover entrees, which was really helpful. Oh, and the food was GREAT!! Seriously!
So far I have had a great experience with the service that has been provided. Lynn is very kind and truly cares about her clients. We were invited to a tasting last year before deciding on the venue and it was a great experience, the food was great. I had scheduled my wedding for this year but due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel before I booked the date. They totally understood and asked me to inform them when we were ready. So we did last month, made an appointment, paid the down payment for the date and they treated us just like they did the first day. The great thing about Victoria is that they are willing to substitute their dishes for your cultural dishes, all they ask for is the recipe and if the chef can make it, they don't have a problem substituting. So far so good with service a 5 and above all the way... and I'm sure the big day will be spectacular.
It was amazing! We personally worked with Lisa and rented the room 'Le chocolat' at Victoria Beau Jolie. They were very cooperative and flexible to make sure that the menu was just what we wanted. For example, there were packages and there was maybe one dish we preferred from another and we were able to just switched that one dish in the package without any problems. We had the opportunity to taste our whole menu before the day to be able to share our thoughts about it. On the night of the reception, all the food was nicely hot and we received compliments from all our guests about the food. They loved the mushroom soup and the filet mignon were extremely tender!! Unbelievable. Salad was very light and tasty. For dessert, the fruits were very fresh at the buffet and the sabayon was delicious too. Part of our family is Italian and they loved the rigatoni with vodka sauce. Go for Victoria Banquets catering and you will have no regrets! Their reception rooms and decorations are also great, pretty, and well organized.
This was the venue for my wedding reception, we had traveled to many locations, however saw Beau Jolie and met the wedding planner/sales Julie Ryan who was by far one of the most amazing helpful people throughout my wedding planning. She is one of the prime reasons we selected this venue. Her flexibility, caring and passion for her position was evident in our conversations. She is truly a fantastic employee of this banquet company and her warm personality helped make decisions a lot easier. They worked well with my budge and made it affordable!
The planning process went smoothly with the venue she was available consistently through text, phone and email. Her speedy responses kept me feeling comfortable. The monthly tastings are one of the greatest qualities the Victoria Banquet offers, you can come and have tastings monthly.
Beau Jolie, grand ballroom had a wonderful room. The venue provided the rustic warm feel that paired well with our vision of a warm rustic wedding. This venue allowed us to have a great entertaining space, but not feel too banquetty.
THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, we chose to do a guest choice menu (guest ordered when they sat down) with three selections. Everyone from our wedding raved about the speedy service delicious menu options and how all the food tasted FRESH and WARM. I would recommend the BANANAS FOSTER, was a great added entertainment and fantastic dessert. The food was spectacular and our bar package was amazing, all of our guest definitely had fun! A fun party was our number one priority.
The entire night was magical and there is not one thing I would have switched. The head of house for the evening was ERIC GAZDA & he truly was another fantastic employee of the Victoria Banquets. I was so lucky to have worked with two amazing associates while I know that there are some people that we did not stay in as much communication with. (ERIC AND JULIE were my go-to people and the people I did business with THEY ARE AMAZING!) :)
We had our reception at the Rosemont location.
The food was delicious! We received so many compliments on the taste and the huge portions. We did the menu choice which people seemed to like having the options that day and we did not need to keep track of who marked what food choice on their Response card.
The service was outstanding from the sales associates to the wait staff to the bartenders to the reception manager. Everyone was friendly and was there to make our wedding perfect. The reception manager took it upon himself to fix our florist's mistakes. One of the vase centerpieces broke and water went all over the table. Victoria's asked the table how they could make it up and brought over bottles of wine for our guests. The vase wasn't theirs and yet they made up for it to our guests. Our florist also did not supply vases for the bridal party's bouquets but the reception manager ran to their storage closet and found some we could use. The service staff even retied some of the bows on the chair covers that needed to be and were not tied well enough by that vendor.
Victoria's staff packed up all of our gifts and brought them to our hotel room. They also gave us the entrees that they had leftover from guests that did not come. During the cocktail hour they made sure the bride and groom had a plate of appetizers behind them for the receiving line.
We did give them stickers to put on the cake slices since they wrap them up and let the guests take them home. The stickers were not on the cake slices and we didn't get the stickers back. With all the extra steps they took for us, the stickers were not a big deal and no one noticed except me since I bought the stickers.
Our sales associate was always easy to get ahold of either through email or cell phone and she made planning less stressful.
We used the Rosemont location. Our guests were blown away by the food and the venue. We loved working with Maria. She was responsive and open to our needs and concerns. I would recommend their services to anyone!
I had my wedding at the Rosemont Location. the atmosphere and the food was spectacular!
I rate them a 0 out of 5. My wedding took place July 28, 2012. My husband and I booked a trolley with them and they assured us we will have the trolley of our choice. The day of our wedding they sent us a completely different trolley much smaller than what we asked for. (Size of the Trolley mattered because we had a big bridal party) our photographers and camera people had to follow us in their cars because they would not fit in the Trolley and there was hardly any room for my husband and I. My husband called them the next day and they told them there was nothing they could do. I would never EVER refer them to anyone. They're service sucks! They tell you what you wanna hear so you book them but do whatever they want after they receive the final payment. That's why they want to be paid in full before the wedding day!
Victoria Banquet's Flying Lady Livery service was over an hour late picking up the bride and her family from their home, forcing the Catholic ceremony to be cut in half. The company never followed after after this massive debacle, and when contacted, refused to refund more than 1/5 of the total cost. Management is extremely rude and its obvious they have no real business background. There are a hundred trolley services in Chicago - our recommendation is to find another one.
