As a local event planner...I'm scared that Ducey is out to ruin the wedding industry in Phoenix. Ducey has falsely accused not only one wrong owner that we have worked with, but two. If you are on Joe's target list of him displaying his misuse of media power and wrongly accusing individuals please email me. See below for the latest on what issues this wannabe "investigator" has tried to pull yet again. Yes Joe, all the Facebook comments and reviews you keep deleting are being screenshot. This is a Shame!!! Bridal businesses beware of Joe!!
Mr. Ducey, the producers and Alicia should all be ashamed of themselves. I thought the whole idea of this segment is for ABC15 & Mr.Ducey is to help consumers who have been defrauded or wrapped off. Alicia was neither of these. She was provided a great service, received what she ordered timely and was treated with respect. When she was told she could not get a refund because that is the store policy and didn't like the other options she was given she ran to the media. Shame on Abc 15 for trying to make mrs. Malone look like she was not trying to help this customer and for using there media power to force her to go against her store policy just because it involved the hot shot family. Do you know how many women have lost there fiancée in tragic incidents and follow the policy. Why should Alicia be any different. Now this small business owner not only has to come out of pocket but gets bad publicity for sticking to her store policy? It is hard enough to be a small business owner with out bs stories like this. ABC should apologize to Kaira's Bridal. Hope everyone who reads this and knows someone who needs a bridal gown or anything else to do with a wedding decides to shop here and help her recoup her loss.

OMG!! My videographer just called me and said that the owner Yusuf Joseph opened a Paypal account up in the name of Drake then paypal locked his funds up and then he couldnt pay his contractors and just let the company fall on its face while he was still cashing checks!! WTH people!! WHY HAS NOT THIS BEEN BROUGHT UP?????????????????? At least my videographer saved my footage !!!
As one of the brides affected by this mess, I dont mean to rain on anyones parade..but has anyone thought of informing these investigators that all of our videographers or photographers have already offered to provide us with our footage months ago after they were instructed to since they were already fully paid? It seems as if they only got responses on 24 videos out of the 170 and its been nearly a month now, this is more in likely the reason. Speaking for the brides, I also don't want to get wrapped back up into the saddening silliness.
Hey everyone, it looks like it is all explained here at the links on www, urbanewedding, com.
We booked this company in April for my November wedding. I was informed by my wedding coordinator that all of their contact info was bad and they were unreachable in late October. Lost my $550 deposit and was barely able to get a videographer for our wedding! The only reason I was able to get someone was because a friend did me a HUGE HUGE favor! Horrible company. Beware!!!
Booked urbane for photo and video. They took our deposit and disappeared. Luckily I saw all the other terrible reviews and booked someone else. What a scam and a bunch of crooks.
I was scammed too! They took my deposit of $1200. I had to find three new vendors, luckily I had enough time to do so. What a shame. I won't do business with Paypal anymore either. How are supposed to file a claim within their time limits when we don't know for months??? Bad business all around!
We booked Urbane Wedding Co to provide our photography, dj, and photo booth services. We paid a 50% deposit based on a ton of great reviews. Then they disappeared, no email to warn us or anything. A month before my wedding I was out 3 services and completely devastated. I don't know how people can do stuff like this! I have filed a claim with my bank and am just praying we are able to get our money back. Our wedding was wonderful and I married the man of my dreams, but I could have done without the stress of this scam artist!
We are another couple that was defrauded by Urbane Media. Placed a deposit in January 2013 and found out the company was bogus when we couldn't reach anyone in August, 2 weeks before our wedding.
We have filed a claim with IC3, and I strongly suggest everyone else here do the same so these criminals can be prosecuted. www.IC3.gov
Not sure what the 2 comments immediately below are referring to...
ATTENTION TO ALL BRIDES!! Please do not book this vendor for photography or videography services. It is a complete scam! I booked this vendor and paid my deposit $1500 via Paypal). The contract was finalized and I spoke with a man by the name of Christopher Collins who seemed professional, however I had no idea I was being scammed. He asked me to contact him 3 months before the wedding to provide a detailed schedule of my wedding so he could provide this to his videography crew. Three months came, I contacted them multiple times and the line was disconnected and email address was no longer valid.
They claim to be from Phoneix, AZ with videography and photography staff around the USA. Please DO NOT BOOK or use any vendor by the name of URBANE WEDDING CO/URBANE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY. I don't want any bride to go through what I did. It was a horrible experience :(
Got Scammed! Lost deposit! Booked this vendor back in March. Tried to contact one month before my wedding in August and all of their information was deleted. I couldn't file a claim through paypal because it already exceeded 30 days. Terrible company. Hope they get what they deserve!
Stole our deposit and disappeared. Hope they find themselves in the bottom of a river with cinder block shoes. Wedding wire should remove the rating and put a notice that these people are frauds.
Took our $500 deposit and absconded with the money. Hard to believe someone could be so heartless to ruin the most important day in people's lives. Let's catch this crook.
I think more than anything, it is also difficult to wrap my head around all these legit websites that had Urbane as their most recommended company just because of his own reviews. I researched for months and never came across anything negative about them and was on all major websites. This is beyond frustrating! Obviously no one is going to ever hear about Urbane but you better believe that there will be other "highly recommended" companies out there on all these well known websites we trust.
They are a SCAM! They took my $1000 deposit and now disappeared off the face of the earth! Luckily, I still have time before my wedding, however now I am down on my wedding budget. From what I understand some of their contracted photographers/videographers haven't been paid for months and also lost ton of money.
Two other brides and I were interviewed about this company's disappearance. Please watch:
