Hello. My name is Patti and we used Aaron with Uptown Sound at our wedding on Dec the 30th. Hands down, Aaron was the best part of our wedding (aside from marrying my fiance that is!) lol. With Aaron you not only get great music that you can tailor to your style and the genre of your guests, but you also get an MC, a true master of ceremonies, per say. Aaron is a true professional in every way! From the moment I met Aaron, I knew he had to be a part of our special day! I knew that there was no question he would be a MUCH better choice than a band that would not be nearly as flexible or as creative and fun as Aaron turned out to be! Aaron is the epitomy of dependable, he is charming, so sincere, so conscientious, and so darn nice!!! When my family left the wedding that night, they kept hugging Aaron saying that when their daughters get married, they want to fly Aaron to California to do their weddings as well. He was the HIT of the wedding and we all just wanted to adopt him into our family. He was sooooo much fun!!!! When my fiancé and I first met with Aaron, he had this notebook and asked us a lot of questions and would take lots and lots of notes. At the time we had no idea what he was going to do with all of this information. It wasn’t until the reception that I realized just how much time, thought and energy Aaron put into what we shared with him. He put sooo much creativity and thought into what we shared with him and we were absolutely floored when we saw what he did. When Aaron did our introduction as husband and wife for the first time., we were laughing and crying at the same time. Aaron actually put together the most amazing “love story” presentation that he shared with the crowd. It included video of our favorite comedian that we watched on our first date, it included photos of when we first started dating, and quite honestly, it was one of the most special parts of my entire wedding. I had no idea when I hired Aaron just how creative he was and just how personal and fun he would make our entire reception. He also included all the uplighting in his package and completely transformed our venue into kind of a “lounge, club” type of atmosphere, which was exactly what I was looking for. He spent so much time prior helping us to develop a play list and was so instrumental in getting the entire wedding out on the dance floor. Aaron was also soo responsive and so unbelievably willing to help me with every aspect of the wedding and he was so responsive to every email, txt msg and phone call I made prior to the big day. He really stepped up and went overboard with everything including staying at the reception well into the night, (and I’m sure much later than he ever expected), all with a huge smile on his face! Aaron also worked closely with the videographer, my wedding planner and the entire team of vendors. There wasn't anything he wasn't willing to do or help me with, including recording all of our vows and the ceremony in unison with the vidoe team. There are not enoiugh great things I can say about Aaron. Everybody raved about the our entertainment and he was the talk of the weekend afterwards! I wouldn’t even consider using a band after the experience I had with Aaron and would highly recommend him to every bride that wants to have a wedding that she and her guests will remember forever!! I don't remember why we decided we should at least ask around about DJs, but I'm so glad we did because hiring Aaron was probably the most important, valuable, and evening-defining decisions we made. Not only did he put together custom tailored playlists for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, but he served as Master of Ceremonies for the whole event, making sure things flowed smoothly as they were supposed to. He and I worked out a tentative schedule of events for the reception before the big day so that at the event he could help make sure we stayed on schedule -- not only gently reminding me and my groom that it was time to cut the cake (as one of many examples), but also making sure my photographer and caterer (and whoever else was needed) were on deck to capture the moment and make sure it happened as it was supposed to. He went absolutely above and beyond! The up-lighting was beautiful and added to the already stunning ambiance he had set with music selection, and I don't think there was a single song for which our dance floor wasn't bumpin' during the dance party. I genuinely don't think our reception would have been as fun as it was if Aaron hadn't been there to help coordinate and set the tone. We are so grateful! My mother-in-law stumbled across Aaron with Uptown Sound as we were leaving a bridal open house with various vendors selling various services. My fiancé and I had actually already left for the afternoon, but my mother-in-law had the go to the restroom. After she returned, her exacts words were, “Oh my gosh, I have found you the most perfect DJ for your wedding!!! He is the most genuine, sweet guy, and I know you will love him!” Let me just say that she had all this to say after only talking to Aaron for about 15-30 minutes. Long story short, she was definitely right. After the first time we met Aaron, we knew he was the person we wanted to hire for our perfect wedding reception. Aaron worked with us so well, ensuring that all of our requests were met, and that we would have our perfect wedding day. He was great at accommodating a few special requests we asked for, and was genuinely interested in my fiancé and I as a couple, and not just another client who is forking over money. He made us feel so important, and is extremely genuine and honest in everything he does. We had the BEST wedding we could have ever imagined, and it wouldn’t have been nearly as good without Aaron there to get the party started. We literally had almost every person on the dance floor, even people in my family who I have NEVER seen dance, even at other weddings. Hands down, hiring Aaron was the best decision I have ever made in regards to my wedding! You will NOT regret hiring him, I promise!

Perfect DJ, wouldn't be the same without Aaron. He also provided the most perfect lighting avaliable.

Aaron was amazing! He had everyone dancing the night away. The DJ is one of the most important people the night of the wedding b/c they pretty much run the show and keep you on schedule. We are so happy we went with Uptown Sound and recommend them to everyone.

Bride’s, let me start this review by saying that choosing Aaron Kannowski of Uptown Sound as my wedding DJ was the equivalent to purchasing a “best wedding reception ever ” insurance policy for my big day. I genuinely believe with all my heart that selecting your wedding DJ is the single most important “Big Day” decision you will make besides the guy next you at the alter – no seriously. And it wasn’t until I first met with Aaron before I realized how lucky I was to have stumbled across him. If there is any advice I could pass on to a future a bride, it would be to NOT let yourself underestimate the importance of your DJ selection. What you must realize about your wedding DJ is they are the Director of the evening, the crowd pleaser, the reception timeline creator, etc. Aaron was so much more for me then the guy pressing play for each of my song selections. He really should advertise himself as the Ringmaster of your Dream Day circus. If you have already begun the process of wedding day vendor selections, then you probably have come to the realization that a lot of these vendors are almost callous to the importance of your special day. Understandable, seeing as wedding vendors are dealing with wedding-mania 24-7, 365. However, Aaron never once made me feel like this wasn’t the most important wedding reception of his career. He basically held my hand through the entire process. He literally spent hours with me, tailoring my wedding day in order to make certain that every last little detail was perfectly planned for success. No need to overpay for a wedding planner if you book Aaron for your wedding. Oh yeah, and did I mention he has the most affordable and phenomenal lighting packages as well… ladies, this guy is a 3-for-1 steal of a deal! The bonuses just never end. My only complaint is that my wedding was so incredibly fun and amazing that I’m suffering from a severe case of wedding night withdrawal syndrome. I’m telling you, my wedding could have been an advertisement for “Dance-Dance-Revolution.” We probably wouldn’t have even needed chairs for our wedding reception seeing as everyone spent the evening partying on the dance floor. Aaron truly is responsible for orchestrating the best night of my life and I really hope that if you are reading this review right now, it’s enough to convince you that he is a necessity for making your wedding everything you imagine it to be. Aaron Kannowski is hands down, my favorite person on the wedding vendor planet!

Aaron did a GREAT job at my wedding reception! I cannot thank him enough! A week before my wedding, we moved the reception location due to a need for more room. In hindsight, it wasn't a huge deal, but it had me a little freaked out. The new location was not quite like the original location and not exactly what I had in mind. Aaron saved the day by adding great lighting to the venue, giving it more of a 'wedding' feel. He played all of the songs my husband and I had requested and did a great job of editing down the "first dances" songs to a couple of minutes or less. He was excellent in terms of responding to emails/texts/phone calls. He is very flexible and will meet you where ever when ever you need. If you need some help, he offer suggestions without sounding pushy. If you know exactly what you want, he'll do what exactly what you ask. Many of the guests commented on how great the DJ was at the reception. I would gladly recommend him to anyone!

Aaron was amazing. We had two wedding receptions on July 23,2011. One was at the church and more traditional the other was a fun we did it party! Aaron cued our videos of slideshows and ceremony perfectly and added a church approved soundtrack. Before the the 23rd he met with me several times and promptly answered text messages usually within 10 minutes and emails within hours. He also gave me ideas of how I might do certain things to make everything run smoothly. For my night party I had my fathers band play as well as Aaron since the band only covers 70's rock. My dad told me he enjoyed working with Aaron as he was just easy to work with. Aaron even made extra cut versions of my traditional dance songs so that I had options of what may be easiest to dance to. I highly recommend Aaron. He got everyone on the dance floor with kickin' tunes! Everyone at my parties was impressed and I can not thank him enough. He made me feel like I was the most important person he was working for everytime he answered a question or made a suggestion. He genuinely cares about making your event special. If you are looking for that old fashioned customer service that was above and beyond expectations look no further than Aaron.

Aaron was the dj for our wedding on March 19. Not only was he friendly, fun and knowledgeable about how to run the event but also took care of the lighting for us. Everything looked amazing and sounded great! I look forward to being able to use him at more events in the future, because I know that once he is hired that is one thing I no longer have to think or worry about!

Working with Aaron at Uptown Sound was one of the best parts of my wedding. He helped make my wedding what I dreamed it would be; a big party. I wanted all of my guests to have a blast, and they did!
While planning for our big day, Aaron was always very quick to respond. We always got a reply within the same day which is something that was very reassuring. I felt confident and excited to have Uptown Sound at our wedding.
Aaron was more than willing to help me find the perfect songs as well as the perfect timeline for the event. We searched for a first dance song for months, and I vented my frustration to Aaron. He listened to what I was looking for as well as what my fiance was looking for, and came up with an idea that we both loved immediately!
During our reception, a few things happened unexpectedly that interrupted our 'time line.' Aaron was extremely professional, pulled my husband and myself aside and presented us with his plan B. Everything ended up working out perfectly.
The professionalism and flexibility that he demonstrated far exceeded our expectations.

I cannot say enough how pleased we were to have Uptown Sound help make our wedding the perfect party we wanted it to be. We were actually sad after the wedding planning was over and we realized we were not going to be working with him any longer. (So we decided we need to plan another party!)

Uptown Sound (Aaron) truly was one of our favorite vendors! My husband and I planned our whole wedding ourselves ,and without Aaron's help, I am sure our reception would not have run as smoothly as it did. Aaron is very knowledgable and experienced in wedding djing, and he helped us coordinate the whole evening's events, announcements, and transitions. He is very professional, and I got a lot of compliments and inquiries about my dj during and after our wedding. Not to mention, all the guests had a great time dancing , after dinner, the dance floor was filled the entire night! During our many months of planning, Aaron was always flexible with his schedule and even though I was an out of time bride, I appreciated that I was always able to meet with him and discuss ideas about the reception when I was in Dallas. If I had any questions or concerns, I was always able to call him and rely on him to have some ideas. He also did lighting for our wedding, and it turned out just the way that we imagined! We had an awesome experience with uptown sound and highly recommend this vendor!

Aaron DJ'd my wedding at the Filter Building in Dallas and he was absolutely amazing! He had it all planned down to the last minute for me which was a GREAT help and couldn't have asked for a better DJ! I highly recommend him for any special occasion!

Aaron did an unbelievably wonderful job deejaying our wedding last March. He made our reception flow smoothly and gave it a personality all its own. He was extremely accommodating at such short notice after I was able to convince my husband to hire a deejay, instead of using his "cost-effective" idea of an iPod reception. We couldn't have made a better choice!!!
