TRUST is a gorgeous, very unique venue in Old City located right next to the Betsy Ross house. It is a blank canvas which means you will not have to compete with busy hotel carpets or a color scheme that clashes with your own. Just know that this comes with a price. You will need to think through your decor and personal touches in order to turn this space into your space for the event.

TRUST is not cheap. You have to go through them for lighting and drapes (drapes are a fortune but important) and they will charge you an extra ceremony fee on top of the rental fee if you choose to have a ceremony there. Once the price tag shock wears off be sure you work with a caterer that really knows the space. We worked with FEASTIVITIES and they were great. TRUST again is spectacular just know that you will need to spend a little more on decor, draping, lighting etc if you really want to make this space your own. Our guests were very impressed.

To clarify, if we were to rate JUST the venue itself, we would give it 5 stars. The event space is phenomenal, beautiful, unique, etc. and is perfect if you don't want one of those cookie cutter weddings in a flowery ornate ballroom. It is truly a blank slate and you can do WHATEVER you want in terms of decor. I could not have pictured a more beautiful wedding for myself. HOWEVER, this comes at a price. Their preferred caterers are Feastivities and Steven Starr and for many reasons it is best to go with one of these, which will automatically mean you will spend quite a bit on catering. We went with Feastivities, who were great because they not only did a great job, but were basically the coordinators and point people for nearly everything. The staff at TRUST are helpful enough-- they answer your questions in a timely manner and refer you to other vendors, just don't expect them to serve as your day-of coordinators or give you advice/opinions on decor or logistics. They are very hands-off and really just handle rules and regulations. We found them to be cordial but otherwise disinterested.

There are significant hidden costs with TRUST. They offer a lighting and draping package, but if you don't do draping then your service areas are exposed so even though it is "optional" you end up having to do it...for a small fee of $2500. The draping *does* look phenomenal though. On the other hand, you supply your own alcohol, which gives you more flexibility on selection and price in that area.

We had a Saturday night wedding and at the end of the night, were informed that no one would be at the venue until Tuesday, so we either needed to move all our decorations, leftover alcohol, etc out of there that night, or pick it up on Tuesday. We were not aware of this before the wedding. We probably should have clarified this detail beforehand, but either way, this is unacceptable. Clearing out the venue on the night of the wedding should NOT be the responsibility of the bride and groom, let alone their guests'. And most people leave for a honeymoon after the wedding and are not going to be around 3 days later. They suggested that we send our friends to pick stuff up on Tuesday, which is equally absurd...the fact that the venue is not open on Sunday or Monday should NOT become our friends' problem. So we ended up hailing a bunch of cabs and carting everything back to the hotel right after the wedding, which ate up a good hour of our wedding night. Talk about a buzzkill. According to friends we have in the "industry," a lot of venues give you an hour or two the morning after to pick things up. I understand not wanting to come to work on your day off, but seriously... Major thumbs down.

Overall, our wedding at TRUST was beautiful and I would not have wanted it anywhere else. It is a fantastic venue and it sells itself (and the staff know it!). Just be aware of and make sure you're okay with the accompanying costs.

We were extremely pleased with our May wedding at TRUST. We still continue to receive compliments from wedding guests about how stunning and unique the site was! The TRUST staff were extremely accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with and we highly recommend TRUST if you are looking for a beautiful, clean-slate reception site to really personalize to your own taste!

Garrett and Alex were extremely easy to work with, helpful, flexible, kind, and the space is BEAUTIFUL. Unlike any other venue. Impossible to have a "cookie cutter" wedding at Trust.
