The coordinators from A Touch of Magic Wedding and Event Planning were amazing! They were extremely professional, accommodating, anticipated and triaged problems, and made my life, leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding, easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for help during your big event. In fact, I’ve already recommended them to a few engaged friends.

If I can give one piece of advice, it’s to hire a coordinator (service packages vary). I lot of venues say they have a coordinator that can help you with planning, setup, etc. but their loyalty is to the venue, not you. A Touch of Magic will always have your best interest in mind and make sure that your day goes the way you planned it.

My husband and I hired her to help from 1 month before the wedding and on the actual wedding day. She was very organized and professional and flexible with meeting times - also good about responding to emails since I planned the wedding from 500 miles away and that was mainly how we communicated.

However, at the ceremony, I was disappointed in how things went. Her job in my opinion, was to take control and make sure that guests were seated and in there proper place. The ceremony started with my husband walking down the aisle to a very special song - well all the guests were standing up at this point and chatting amoungst themselves and didn't even know the ceremony had begun until my husband had to tell the crowd to sit down and be quiet as he walked to his place. This really ruined the way we wanted it to go. My question is - where was she at this point? What was she doing? She had 2 people helping her so one out of the three should have been paying attention to what was going on.

My other big issue was that we specifically asked for her to put aside appetizer plates for us since we would be off taking photos during that time and we wanted to be able to try the food we paid so much for. Well, we get done with photos and start wondering where is our food? She tells us that she had placed them on a table inside the staging area where the bridal and grooms parties were sitting and waiting to take there pictures with us. To me it would seem logical to put the plates in the refrigerator and closed off somewhere - Don't you think if you sit 2 plates of food down in front of 12 hungry people that someone is going to take a bite? Well they did - they ate it all - and they had no clue that the food was supposed to be for us.

Well those are just 2 examples of things that went wrong and there were even more than that but i think you get the idea. She seemed organized and on her game up until our last meeting at the rehearsal, but at the wedding - I was disappointed.
