We were extremely happy with our choice of working with Amy and Maurice! We loved their style, their attentiveness to detail, their ability to be both professional and so fun all at once. amy and maurice were so stellar at making us feel like celebrities for a day. everywhere we looked there they were... not in an intrusive way, but more in a way that i knew they were catching all the important moments that we will never forget, as well as the little moments we may not have seen that day amongst all the hustle bustle, but will cherish seeing forever in our pictures. our photos were one of the biggest most important parts of our big day, and working with such a dynamic couple was not only comforting but inspiring! thanks amy and maurice for such an awesome photography experience. Amy and Maurice are amazing. Not only are they very talented, but they are so very friendly, and focused on customer service that it feels as if you have known them forever. They worked so hard to be flexible for our engagement shoot (since my husband and I do not live int he state). They also did a great job on the day of our wedding. They made everyone feel at ease, and were careful to pay attention to our requests. After the wedding, they have been extremely responsive about our pictures and albums. Though we don't have our album yet, I am confident that they will do a fabulous job.

Amy and Maurice are fantastic. They are very flexible as far as scheduling - we live in Los Angeles and they came to us for our engagement session. We also had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony the morning of our wedding and they came and took pictures at that event as well. All of their photography is beautiful and they have an amazing eye for color. They are very easy to work with and instantly put me at ease during our engagement session. Because I was relaxed during the engagement session, they really captured who we are as a couple.

We were married in October of 2009. I researched several several photographers and just really liked these guys' style. The engagement shoot we had went great, except there were only about half of the photos we liked. There are ways to shoot people that are most flattering, it seemed that they didn't quite understand those ways yet, at least they didn't with us. No one wants to look larger in pictures and shooting from down to up, always makes people look larger. So we specifically requested that photos not be shot that way for our wedding day; unfortunately, that wasn't either remembered or listened to.

Wedding day came...they were late showing up, which meant less time for pre-wedding photos. And we felt rushed, in fact there were several shots we wanted and didn't get because it was time to start.

We were married at the beach. After the wedding, for family portraits, we were told to climb up the lifeguard tower sand hill. I have, at the time an 88 year old grandmother, this proved to be quite difficult for the older people at our wedding. After seeing the pictures, the background of all of the portraits was horrible. A life guard tower and then a stream of houses on the hill, and a parking lot. We got married on the beach, in Encinitas, at dusk, that was gorgeous and this is the backdrop we have in all of our photos. Needless to say, for the money we paid, which was A LOT, i was greatly disappointed

Amy and Maurice are amazing. Talented, creative, thoughtful, fun, they truly make you feel like you're the only person in the world that matters. My pictures were artistic and beautiful, fun and edgy, and always captured the "real me." No boring, posed, cheesy images here! Nearly invisible on my big day, but somehow captured everything. I can't say enough good things about theorie.

All I have to say about Maurice and Amy is that they are awesome! They were our first vendors to book for our wedding. They are extremely talented and passionate about their photography. They were awesome to work with, extremely personable and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Amy and Maurice are an awesome couple and even better photographers :) We hired them 4 days before our wedding (b/c our other photographer fell threw) and they were so accomodating. They work so well with each other which really makes the day go smoothly when one photographer doesn't have to "talk" to the other. Even more importantly worked amazingly with my husband and I. He's not exactly the most photogenic and they made him look like a star. Also I'm not exactly a supermodel size and Amy made me feel like a princess for a day. My husband is also a little shorter than myself and Maurice would position us to where he was much taller than I. I can't brag enough about them, and we wouldn't have wanted anyone else to capture our special day. And believe me when we have other life events, they are going to capture them :)

Amy and Maurice are amazing people. They have the most unique way of capturing the moment. It's easy to call their photos artistic b/c they are - but they are so unique. When I was looking for a photographer I was thumbing through the photo books at the different wedding sites. And when I saw a book done by Theorie - I already knew that this was going to be my photographer. The people in the photos didn't look posed - they looked like they were having fun and not being affected by a camera in their face. And these weren't cookie cutter wedding photos. I hate pictures so I knew it had to be someone special to take my wedding photos. We did our engagement photos with Theorie and they were so fun - I couldn't wait to see Amy & Maurice again at my wedding. They posted teaser pictures on their blog from our wedding and they are gorgreous - everyone I show them to love them. All the planning was done online and very easy. I look forward to hopefully working with Amy & Maurice again at maybe a friends wedding or have them take Christmas card photos for us. Their work is worth every penny!!!!!
