We loved our wedding and reception, Yvonne and her crew went over and beyond our expectations. The church was beautiful and exactly what a dream wedding would be like. We can't wait to see all the pictures and video. The only thing that wasn't exactly what we had talked about were the bridesmaids bouquets, they were not at all like I had asked for but with my Moms help, some scissors and pins we had them more manageable in a jiff. I think Yvonne got thebridesmaid's bouquets, mother's nosgay's and the toss bouquets mixed up and I don't know where she got the idea for the bridemaids but who cares we had the best wedding day and we are still married. Nobody or thing is perfect, we're all human.
The reception was at a different location and the way it was set up was indescribably beautiful, gorgeous, it was like stepping into a New York restaurant. Small, intimate tables with sofa's surrounding tables decorated with fine linens and unique floral arrangements on each table. The food tables were also decorated with large floral arrangements, and candles/candlabras with delicious foods arranged to draw you into their design.
The Cake table was alittle cramped but beautiful. Instead of a Grooms cake we had decided on an ice cream bar, which was a hit. We had coffee, chocolate and vanilla (Blue Bell) ice cream with all the trimmings. Blue Bell ice cream is the best! Yvonne had provided little expresso cups and saucers for the coffee ice cream and fountain glases for the others. It was so creative.
The Brides cake was exactly what I wanted, 5 tiers, each white with red decorations with black ribbon around the bottom of each layer. The bottom layer with red poka dots, the next with red swirls, my favorite with words, says that relate to the groom and I...love, kindness, friends, princess, cinderella, prince charming, and they lived happily ever after, etc. The next swirls and the top poka dots and red roses and red gerber daisies. It was breath taking. Well, I guess it wasn't perfect the cake was dry but who cares everything else was delish.
There were only a few negative things about Yvonne, one being once you get her booked, she's had to get in touch with and we had two different reports that she was unkind to her employee's and the cleaning staff at the reception. But after bringing it to her attention she has stated that she has appoligized to both.
I would still recommend her highly, again nobody's perfect.
