    Me Shelly was wonderful, very helpful, Venue is beautiful, just right location and size.

    Shelly was amazing, she was friendly, kind, helpful, and there whenever we needed her. We had an intimate wedding here and everyone loved the intimacy of it all! I definitely recommend and will be calling back for any future events!

    Was a nice venue for a small wedding around 100 people the perfect place for our wedding was defintly the right choice.

    I was so pleased with this space!! It was the perfect amount of room for our event and was easy to adjust a few little things to our liking. I so appreciated the kitchen space and the bathrooms were wonderful! It may seem like small things, but some of my students used the restrooms to change their clothes as they headed to the after-parties once prom was over. Having that much space was welcome!

    Working with Shelly was wonderful and her approach to the venue business was refreshing after all the other venues my wife and I looked at. Being able to find our own vendors and plan things out ourselves was a big must and Shelly made all of that possible.

    He space is beautiful and has just enough character to let you make it your own without being drab and boring. It's also big and has more than enough room for a bumping dance floor with tables around the edges for the wall flowers.

    I celebrated my 50th Birthday Party at The Gallery Event Room and the accommodations and atmosphere were very nice and classy! Shelly Crane (owner) listened attentively to my needs, had great ideas/recommendations and went well over and beyond my expectations. Shelly has a very beautiful spirit and did everything she could to assure that my night was one that I will always remember. …she truly made it all about me which made me feel so special! I was “VERY SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING.”

    Meeting and working with Shelly was literally like meeting an angel, for she is truly passionate about the work she does and strives to serve others through the gifts, talents and abilities that God has blessed her with.

    Shelly Crain is a joy to work with and The Gallery was perfect for our wedding reception. Our pictures are fabulous (it's beautiful inside with the wood flooring and trim, and fabulous chandelier in the raised ceiling, and outside with the columns, red brick, and wooden door!), the location was incredibly convenient (we got married at PMLC just across the parking lot), and our guests were very pleased and comfortable with the space. Shelly was an amazing help and super accommodating. She was focused on making sure we were not stressed out for our big day, and it paid off! The price is perfect if you want to stay on a budget, she let us work with any vendor we wanted, and do as much of our own decorations and arrangements we wanted (even let us in a little early so we could decorate!). Our caterer loved the full kitchen, and our guests had a fabulous time, commenting on how beautiful the space was. There are ample plugs for uplighting and dj equipment, Shelly set up all the tables and linens for us, and the ceiling lights/chandelier dim for mood lighting. Our wedding reception was beautiful and Shelly helped us make it that way!

    I needed a place VERY last minute and she answered my desperate plea with the upmost gracious treatment. She helped in every way she could to make sure our special day had a roof over it:)

    The location is well lit and lovely. Everything went perfect.

    I had my daughter's Baby Shower here and it was the most beautiful and amazing shower. This place is perfect for weddings and Baby Showers !

    Shelly was a true joy to work with from the first time I contacted her through the end of my event! She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was a beautiful event.

    Shelly, the owner of the gallery event room was a lifesaver. She went far and beyond the call of duty. She was very flexible to my crazy schedule. Everyone loved the intimate setting of the event room. It was the perfect size. The caters really appreciated having a full kitchen to operate in. Shelly helped me and my mom with suggestions on setup and even provided us with vendors who could help us get the decorations we need. I felt a connection to Shelly the moment I met her and knew that I had made the right decision to use her venue. She made what was a stressful time for me more bearable. Thank you Shellly for being my support system and for doing more than I expected a vendor to do. KUDOS KUDOS KUDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God bless you!

    We loved the gallery event room! I would use this location again if I have another event. Loved that Shelly was flexible on the time we were allowed to come in. She always responded quickly to any questions. The place is so simple but very elegant. Also the price is reasonable compared to other venues . Especially if you are wanting a DIY wedding! Or just something small. Absolutely Satisfied!

    I had such a wonderful time working with Shelly the owner of this venue. She is a wonderful person to work with and responds to your email requests in a timely manner.

    Her venue is absolutely stunning, I wanted to use her venue for our wedding but we ended up having to large of a wedding so we used it for our rehearsal dinner location! The day I went to get the keys for the venue she had everything set up to our liking and went thru the closing procedures again with me.

    The Gallery Event Room has wonderful dark bamboo wooden chairs with cushions, and black or ivory table cloths that you can use at no additional charge for both her round and rectangle tables! This was a great deal as we didn't have to purchase chair covers or anything unless we wanted to add a splash of color.

    The lighting in the venue is clearly labeled and easy to dim the lights as necessary, adjustable A/C and fans, two bathrooms, full kitchen (stove, sink, fridge). The cream slightly textured walls lend themselves as great canvass to project a slide show if desired without having to set up a screen.

    The flexibility she provides by allowing you to bring your own alcohol and catering vendor is a plus, it really allowed us to make the event ours and very personal.

    We had an easy clean up (take the trash out, take your belongings, and leave the place set up as you found it).

    Not a single complaint a great venue at a great value! Our rehearsal dinner had about 50 people and there was plenty of space for more guests, tables, or for a dance floor etc. It all depends on your needs and this location and provide them!

    Everything went smoothly at my daughter's sweet 16, and Shelly made the planning process very quick and easy. I would definitely use this place again for other events.

    Shelly is a consummate professional and can help with any additional needs. She suggested a bartender who did a great job and the venue is clean, neat and lovely once set up.

    I would highly recommend the services Shelly provides and this venue.

    My family showed up to start setting up for the wedding there were several cushions that were soaked, they set them outside and they were dry in time. They noticed the Men’s restroom was not working at all. This is all forgivable for me.My family and friends stayed to clean the place after the wedding. My mother-in-law sent Shelly an email the next morning to follow up with everything, letting Shelly know the men's toilet was broken and asked her to let her know if there was anything we missed as she would come back up there then next morning to get it corrected. She asked her please to email her as me and my husband were on our honeymoon.Shelly did not respond to her but sent me a text on my honeymoon to say that the oven was dirty and she was keeping my entire $300 deposit. She told me it was because the cleaning people were charging her double to clean. I asked what was double and she said $150 more. I’m not sure it makes sense to be charged $150 to wipe off an oven, I'm still confused as to how this justified her keeping all $300. She wasn’t even trying to work with me. There were 15 people who stayed there after the wedding to help and she still charged me the same as if nobody did anything.The contract says that we would receive proof. She refused to provide us any other than the two pictures of the oven. She said she had video but refused to show us that or any cleaning bills. We started to stand up for ourselves as we truly felt she was lying and trying to keep our money but just decided to let her have the $300 to be done with the situation. We erred on not cleaning up the oven.We know we were not 100% perfect but felt like in these situations there should be some give and take. We were willing to rush back and clean the oven and fix any other issues.We had no problem overlooking the cushions and the men's bathroom being broken leaving 120 people to use one toilet. In the end we felt like we were wronged and wondered if this is a common practice of hers

    The Gallery Event Room's reply:

    Jackie, I'm very sorry you feel wronged. No one ever called to inform me of the cushions or toilet. Your mother-in-law stated in her kind email the next morning, the toilet was working, just running all the time. She also apologized for the mess they left in the room. Instead of calling me ( my cell phone posted throughout the venue), someone tried to fix the toilet themselves and broke the handle in doing so. I'm not sure how the cushions were wet, unless someone spilled water on them while setting up the room.

    I informed you at 10am the next morning regarding the damages to my beautiful venue. Birdseed was all throughout the inside of my venue, the oven was left a mess, and a wedding sign left nailed to my property. I didn't hear back from you until after I received the nice email from your mother in law stating, how much they enjoyed the venue and apologizing for the mess they left. I asked you about the cushions and toilet , and you stated to me that you personally used the toilet and everything was working fine, likewise, wasn't aware of the cushions. Your mother in law called later that day, after speaking to you, to tell me not to mention the mess to you, and she was very sorry for the mess and would reimburse you for the damages. There were brooms near the back door that were not used, as you stated they tried to clean- up the mess.
    I went out of my way to help you guys, allowing you early access into my venue at no extra charge, and holding your security deposit instead of depositing it, trying to help knowing you had lost your last venue for whatever reason. I sent an email stating the many violations of the contract, and please contact me. You in-turn stop payment on the check that should have been deposited in the first place. I tried numerous times to communicate with both of you and never heard back from either one, until Monday. When you break the rules of a contract, as the contract states specifically, you forfeit your deposit, and actually you should owe me money, for the other violations, but I didn't charge you extra. So brides, please be aware there are people out there that break rules and then upset when they have to suffer the consequences.

    Our experience was that the owner was dishonest and unethical.
    -Oct 12, I contacted The Gallery and confirmed that our date of Feb. 7 was available.
    The Gallery emailed: Basic Rental fee for Saturday rental: $2000, No off duty officer required;
    -Nov 3, we contacted the owner to reserve the room.
    -Nov. 4, a check for $500 was sent along with an email letting her know it was mailed and requesting she let us know when she was in receipt.
    -Nov. 12, my husband sent an email regarding plans for the party. Shelly responded affirmatively with no mention of anything wrong.
    -Nov. 13, Shelly called claiming she had not received the check. Then she admitted she hadn't checked her mail in over a week. She also said she had another client on their way to sign a contract for OUR date.
    -The next day she finally sent us a lease which had changed terms from the original proposal. She raised the price $300 and had a clause that we had to have extra security despite her earlier email to the contrary.
    -Nov. 15, she informed us that the room had been booked to someone else and even stated the room was booked a month ago, which is a direct contradiction to her earlier email.
    -After more discussion, she sent a revised lease at 5 p.m. on Nov. 15. Nov. 16, we signed and sent the document only to have her state she would not work with us and to call her lawyer. We have copies of both contracts, including where she signed that she received our deposit payment.

    Bottom line is that we should not be disregarded because she did not check her mail, nor did she ever send an initial lease when we first met with her. We sent a check in good faith and she still booked the room to someone else, even lying about when the contract was signed.

    It's a favor in disguise. We found a place we are thrilled with that will be beautiful for our son!

    The Gallery Event Room's reply:

    Due to the nature of the business, it is necessary for us to obtain both payment and a signed contract as conditions precedent to confirming any booking. Unfortunately, neither were obtained. It was made clear from the outset that you took issue with my contract's language. It's our goal to achieve a win-win situation, but after several contract revisions and continued document rejections, I recommended Mr. Levine find a place that could better accommodate the specific needs for his son's bar mitzvah.
