If I could give NO STAR, I would. The only good thing about this place was the young girl who helps brides try on dresses. It was strange enough that you have to go in the store with a complete vision of what you want your dress to be. Otherwise, literally you would be trying things on that the consultant picks out. Also, if you go in and try on dresses and dont find "the one"; if you come back a week or whenever later to try on more, they add $100 to your dress cost.
Luckily, on the first visit, I fell in love with a dress here. I fit dresses "off the rack" and my wedding is in less than 90 days so I figured I can just buy the dress, take it home and be done with it. Little did I know my $350 dress, turned into $650 to get the minor stains and snags out (which should be something that they address maybe BEFORE trying to sell the dress). 48 hours after swallowing the fact that the amount doubled, I decided to purchase the dress. I called to purchase it over the phone and was told that I needed to come to the store in person to buy it. Well, due to a conflicting work schedule I said I would be in during the weekend to pay for it. Also, my mother went in the store to be sure it would still be available for me to do so. I went to pay for it on Sunday as the website indicates hours from 1230-5. They were closed. So I called Monday to "make an appointment" (since when do you need to make an appt to give a store guaranteed money?) to buy the dress Monday afternoon. The owner then told me that they sold the dress I apparently did not have put aside (which I was told it was) because I didn't pay for it (which I couldn't do until I came in to do so). There was no empathy within the situation and everything from the get-go was sketchy and unpromising. My advice- go with your gut the moment you walk in and feel awkward....turn around and walk right out.

You did not take advantage of a great offer on a wonderful Maggie Sottero dress call Reese. This stunning dress has dramatic deep back and is perfect for that destination wedding . The store accommodated you in every possible way. You called on busy Saturday and wanted to come in right away because you had your mom and mother in law with you. We close at 5:00 but took you in at 4:30 and worked with you until 5:30. Before you put your favorite dress on, we informed you of the condition and that it was NOT reorderable. (store policy) You liked it but wanted it to redesign it from a halter to a strapless gown. This would require a lot of hand beading around the neckline. To change this to strapless neckline many seamstress would not even attempt. You were given a written estimate of the alterations, which were as follows: shortening the 3 layer hem $70.00, 6 point bustle 72.00 ( normally 18.00 each point or $108.00) redo the neckline 65.00, Fix the snags $30.00, spot clean $15.00 for a total of $252.00. Your mother wanted a better deal and asked if we could drop the dress price $50.00 further to $300.00 for this nearly $900.00 dress. We declined The following Monday your Mother and Father came in to again ask for a further discount of $50 to $300.00. This time we agreed if it was purchased right away and the alterations were done somewhere else. Mom refused this offer. “ I will talk to my daughter and see if she didn’t find anything else and will call on Tuesday or Wednesday.” The management has checked with each employee and no one spoke to either you or your mother. The store sold the dress the following Saturday With regards to lowest price offer, the store offers the deeply discount price for a purchase on the first visit. Multiple visits for the same purchase adds time and therefore expenses. About the Sunday hours, the website is clear that it is by prepaid appointments, call for details. This was Super Bowl Sunday and there were no scheduled appointments and we were closed. We were very pleased with our experience at The Elegant Bride. Even though they were busy, they let us take our time. Sometimes my daugther and I would just stand and look in the mirror with her in her gown, trying to enjoy the moment, knowing that the experience would come and go so quickly. We had our fitting alterations done here. We also wanted a few changes done to the dress as well. Irina was great! She could invision what we were wanting and she made the changes. The final dress was beautiful! We will not hesitate to recommend this store to anyone looking for a wedding/special event dress.

SCREWED ME on my alterations appointments 2 months before my wedding, had to find another seamstress to do alterations after they had ASSURED me it would be no problem before I bought the dress.
After I bought my dress they told me the make and model of it, when looking online I found it for hundres less - and I had bought the display model for 2-300 off... They will not let you use a camera in the shop to take pictures of yourself either. This place is okay for getting ideas, but shop around before you commit...

We had our customers best interest at heart when earlier in the year the seamstress we had was not able to complete the alterations at the quality level we required. It is very difficult to find a qualified seamstess and we have asked all the voc schools and employment agencies for help. We were having the sales manager (an excellent dressmaker) redo the seamstress work as well as do the fitting with the customers as English was very limited for the seamstress. We made a business decision to find alterations tailors/seamstress that were located throughout Western Washington and supplied this list to all our customers. We called all brides with plenty of time to find a local seamstress of their choosing. The store posted this listing on our website which included over 20 choices. The store did not in any way wish to inconveniece our brides but rather without being confident we could deliever high quality work we decided to quit this part of the business. We did not do this lightly as this is additional income for the store. Well after all the work to make sure the brides had other choices for alterations we found that the seamstresses were charging sometimes twice what we charged and their work that had to be redone to make it right and picture perfect. Fortuniatly we were able hire back a highly skilled seamstress and no longer offer the list but do alteration in house. Most Brides do not know of the crisis in piracy of the dress designs. This is one reason that we do not give out style number is because of the piracy of the designers style by chinese factories that take the real designers images from their website and then produce a poorly made cheap knock off. Mori Lee is a very well respected and award winning designer that spends millions in legal fees to combat this crsis. They have a warning on their home page that list over 100 Chinese website that will mislead the bride into thinking she can get a dress for hundreds less. Here is that site. I love the Elegant Bride! I had planned a very small wedding in Las Vegas last minute, giving me only 4 weeks to get everything planned. I made an appointment for the same week that I called (surprising, especially during June). When I got there, I was treated excellently by the staff!
I worked closely with the front desk gal (can't remember name, young with brown hair), and she was great at figuring out what I liked, and what my budget was. They are not interested in selling you the most expensive dress, they just want your day to be perfect. But do keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Although I had originally planned on getting a very casual white dress, I tried on a corseted formal number that was reminiscent of old Hollywood, and was immediately over the moon! I had found my dress in less than 2 hours. I ended up spending a little more that I was planning, but I HAD to have that dress, and paid for it on the spot! They made minimal alterations, and had to order a veil and assessory for the outfit, which took only a few days. We ended up running around Las Vegas in our wedding clothes (even going on the rollercoaster at New York New York), and it withstood the abuse with flying colors. I'm glad I had the bustle tailored on to the dress, because my train was at least 4-6 feet long! Since I was taking the dress on an airplane, they even gave me tips on how to take care of the dress during transport, and told me that the taffetta material of the dress was excellent for travelling. The proof is in the pudding! I had professional pictures taken, and I love them! The dress fits like a dream, is of the highest quality, and is extremely unique. My now husband has since told me that he loves the dress, and was truly breathless when he saw me in it and all "done up". He's glad that I went to the Elegant Bride too! Thank you for helping me make our day so special!

I bought my dress right before leaving the country, only getting back a few weeks before my wedding. The staff was very helpful in getting me in to make the fittings in time for everything. They guarantee elegance at an affordable price and that's what I got. I loved my dress and it was worth every cent.

Working with this company was the biggest headache of my wedding. I was completely dissatisfied with this business. When I went in to shop for my dress, they told me I needed to order my dress 8 months out. So I did. I was given an initial arrival date, which was bumped to the following month. Then that was bumped to the next month, and again and again, five times. Each time I called, I was not pleased with the service I received. They were either too busy to help, or just plain didn’t answer their phones. I was told I would get a call back by a certain time, and that never happened. My dress finally arrived three weeks before my wedding, after my mother and father had to go in and speak to the owner. We were ready to cancel the order and go somewhere else. During my fittings, I felt rushed, and did not feel that the dress was looking the way I wanted it to, but was told not to worry. We had three fittings, all needing alterations. Due to how long it took for the dress to arrive, I never did get a final fitting since we ran out of time before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, when we went to bustle the dress, we discovered the bustle was never fixed, and I ended up holding the train of my dress the entire night, so I wouldn’t ruin my lace. It was a heavy dress, and having to hold it up all night took away from just being able to enjoy my dancing, and having pictures taken outside. The owner of this company is nice and helpful. However, her employees are rude, arrogant, and very unhelpful. I am very displeased with this vendor and would recommend finding somewhere else to spend your money.

We have documentation that she was in the store a full 6 weeks before her wedding for her trying on her dress and alterations. Some body types are a bit more challenging to fit. Brandy is by the size chart a 18 in the bust and a 24 in the hips. We usually are able to do the alterations in 2 fittings but we felt a 3rd would be better. We did not charge for the extra time we spent to insure a better fit by letting out the dress a little more at the hips. As to the bustle, this was most certainly done and we have confirmed this with the manager. Bandy had one of her wedding party at her finial fitting to learn the bustle points and how to hook them up. If her assistant could not find them, we are sorry but they were done and shown to her. They cut it close on time of getting it to me. I stressed out because they didn't get it in when they were supposed to. I had to schedule a flight home (I live over 300 miles away) and even then they had to overnight my dress because they didn't have it in. Order EARLY (which I ordered before they even suggested) it turned out beautiful and worth every dollar!

I LOVED my dress. Irina was great. I originally fell in love with a different dress but it didn't come in white white, just an off white. I tried on my dress and it was great but I still liked the other one better because of some detailing it had on it. Irina held up a necklace on my dress (it looked like the strip of beading on the other dress) and it instantly was perfect! I also got my alterations done here and the alterations lady was awesome! She helped me pick out the extra detail for the dress which I would not have been able to do without her. I also think the prices here are cheaper because it is in Tacoma instead of Seattle.

The dress came in at the last minute, but they were excellent in making perfect alterations in no time and working around our time constraints to make it all happen. It was completely worth it and I felt like I was in the hands of an extremely skilled seamstress.

I didn't get my dress here but they were one of the few places around here that would alter my dress. They did a spectacular job! They made me feel at home and told me honestly what I needed. For example I was going to borrow a friends underskirt for my dress, they showed me that it was way too full and would make me way too hot on the wedding day, I am SO glad I took their advice!

Irina, the owner of Elegant Bride, cannot be matched in expertise! She helped me to find the absolute perfect dress for my body type, and I found it within 5 dresses! I had been to several other bridal gown salons, but my experience at the Elegant Bride was beyond compare! The alterations were done very quickly and well for a very low price. The gown was also relatively low in price, but incredibly beautiful, and perfect for me.

I loved my dress for the price that I got it. The cost of the hem/skirt/shoes totalled the cost of the dress itself. As far as customer service it's not the best because they don't follow through with everything they say, but you can count on them for having the perfect dress for you in time!
