I cannot say enough good things about classic catering. They made my wedding at the George Peabody Library spectacular! They were extremely warm and flexible to our requests. First off, for our tasting, they made me and my family feel so special and welcome. They had signs posted at their space that said our names and our wedding date and even printed out tasting menus with our names and wedding date. It was difficult to decide on 6 passed apps for the cocktail hour because everything we tasted was so good, so they said, "don't worry about it, choose 7". Another example is for our cake we asked for a semi-different cake that we had purchased once at another bakery in Baltimore. At the tasting, classic's pastry chef came out with the cake and it was spot on. I had tears in my eyes that he was able to and took the time to duplicate it. He even provided 3 different variations of the filling for us to taste to make it just right. When it came time for the actual event, my guests were raving about the food all night. Classic even appointed a server for the cocktail hour to follow me and my husband around specifically with a mixed tray of all of the passed apps to ensure that we were able to get some food and try them all. In addition, we had 4 adults that ended up not coming to the wedding, and we were able to call Classic the night before the wedding and they made the adjustments. They even credited us back the money for those guests who did not attend! Classic thought of everything and we are so happy that we were able to work with them. Lynn is a gem.

I have worked with CCP many times in the past. When it came time for my wedding, there was no question who we would be using as our caterer. As expected, they didn't let me down.

The menu was fantastic and the service was even better!
When Ian and I visited San Diego, we tried an appetizer at a local restaurant that we fell in love with. CCP worked with us to make the app exactly as we had remembered. Our guests loved it!
The staff was very attentive to all the guests. One staff member even offered to make a plate for one of our guests so she didn't have to stand in line for the buffet since she was pregnant.

CCP is fantasitc. I would absolutely recmomend them to anyone looking for a caterer and will certainly be using them again in the future!

Lynn at Classic Catering was absolutely AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff. Throughout our process she was extremely responsive and helpful. Anything we needed or questions we had, she was quick to respond. During the event her staff was amazing. Making sure we had food and drinks and that we remained calm and had an amazing time. I really can't say enough good things about them. They made us feel extra special from our first meeting, to the card we received after our wedding. I would rate them 100 out of 5!!! :)

I had my wedding reception on November 10, 2012 at the Peabody Library in Mt. Vernon. Because we had gotten married a few days earlier, I chose not to have a wedding planner, but it turns out that I didn't need one anyway, because Lynn and Classic took care of everything and did an amazing job. The food was INCREDIBLE, and Lynn was very receptive to all my crazy ideas about table settings, the layout of the room (we had all long, rectangular banquet tables), and the timing of everything. They were so flexible that we were able to bring in our own alcohol supplier and pies from our favorite place in Baltimore for dessert- Classic set all of this up beautifully and served our pies with ice cream. I was even able to leave some of my personal decorations with Lynn a few days before the reception for her to transport and set up on the day of. You would not have known that I didn't have a planner, everything moved so smoothly. And oh my goodness the food!!

Classic Catering was one of my first phone calls when my daughter got engaged. I asked to work with Alan Pressman, one of the senior account executives. He came recommended to us with rave reviews and we were not disappointed. Classic Caterers have a fabulous reputation, but I had never used them and wasn’t sure what to expect. From my very first phone conversation Alan was charming and helpful and eager to please. He met with us to discuss our budget and our “wish list” and I can honestly say, he helped to make my daughter’s wedding a dream come true. Starting with the options for food choices; from appetizers to the main course to dessert every item they served was delicious and the presentation was beautiful and elegant. When we had our initial food tasting one dish was better than the next and we came away knowing that whatever final choices we made, we couldn’t go wrong with any of the selections. Alan was a wealth of knowledge for all things wedding related. We did not have a wedding planner, but Alan worked closely with us; advising us for everything from the venue to the florist to the lighting. We were so happy with all our decisions. Planning a wedding is emotional and can be very over whelming, but we had a sense of calm knowing that Alan was taking the lead and guiding us.
If you are looking for a top notch caterer look no further than Classic Catering; they are experts in every way and will make sure that your affair will be treated as if it is their only job! Attention to detail is very important to me and after working with Alan and Classic I know that I will look forward to using them in the future. It’s hard to imagine how all the small and large pieces of a wedding can come together seamlessly, so you need to trust your caterer to oversee all those details. My guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the presentation and the staff. Most important, I was able to enjoy my daughter’s wedding day because I knew everything would be perfect!

We had to choose from a list of site-approved caterers for our celebration and after researching (many) and tasting (a few), Classic won easily. We were interested in a menu that featured (primarily) vegetarian and local foods and were thrilled with the meal Classic's "vegetarian chef" designed for us. Lynn, our main contact at Classic, was knowledgeable, kind, and regularly reminded us not to stress out (at all the right times). She told us that Classic would take care of everything, and they really did. We were very impressed by the tasting and by the pre-celebration communication and were blown away with the day-of management and execution. Everyone who worked the event was kind and helpful and our guests continue to praise the wonderful food! Classic helped more than we expected with set-up and flow during the reception and were lovely until the very end. Also, as a same-sex couple, we felt like our relationship was treated respectfully and we really appreciated that. We highly recommend Classic!

This catering company provided amazing service on the day of our wedding. Every little detail was taken care of - especially with a difficult venue like the Baltimore Aquarium. The servers all deferred to the bride and groom. Everyone is still talking about the food, both dinner and appetizers. Plus the leftovers were packed up for us so we got to enjoy them the next day as well. While they may seem pricey - they are most certainly worth it. An extra kudos for accomodating our request for local craft beer!

I was recently married at the Peabody Library over Labor Day weekend. I worked with Lynn from Classic for over a year before my big day. She was so competent and so reliable, which took a considerable amount of stress off of me. She reminded me of important things that needed to be done and provided me with advice from her years of experience. She made my wedding go smoothly and I didn't have to worry about anything. She attended my wedding rehearsal and helped coordinate everything for my wedding, from getting the band directions to the venue to making sure I had the perfect linens. I am so grateful to her and to Classic! Between my Mother, my Mother-in-Law and me, Lynn was receiving tons of emails; she was able to answer every question and did so on time. Her patience was unbelievable.

I also want to mention that our wedding food was absolutely delicious. People complimented me all night about the crab cake appetizers and the special salad that Classic put together, just for us. We had steak and salmon, and also a wonderful vegetarian option. In every way possible, Classic went above and beyond. I recommend them completely to any bride!

I give The Classic Catering People 5 stars in all categories without hesitation. I live in Northern Virginia, and my wedding was in Baltimore, so we only had a certain number of face-to-face meetings. This was not a problem because e-mail was such a reliable form of communication. Any bride would be lucky to work with Nicole Van Natta with this company. She was willing to go above and beyond, even attending my rehearsal at the venue, to ensure I was comfortable with everything in place. She was extremely knowledgable in helping us stay within our price point, and if she wasn't sure of an answer she immediately found someone who was and got back to me quickly. She conducted our tasting, which was a blast, and the food was to die for. Their appetizers in particular are fantastic. Many of my guests spoke highly of their meals AND the service both at their table and the bar. I highly recommend this company!

Everyone at my wedding left saying, "That was the BEST wedding food I've ever had!" They continue to talk about the dishes and wished they had a refrigerator full of it now!

Classic Catering -- and especially Lynn -- were amazing to work with. I was confident that by the time we arrived from the ceremony, the reception would be perfect. The servers during the cocktail hour even brought appetizers out to family members and the wedding party who were getting photographed so that we wouldn't have to miss some of our favorites. We chose to have a buffet for the reception and all our guests were able to get their food in a very timely fashion. The presentation of the food was amazing and unbelievably delicious. Having Lynn oversee our event was like having a personal wedding coordinator. She made sure that everything ran smoothly. I would definitely recommend Classic to anyone that asks!

We worked with Lynn Piette from Classic Catering and our experience was unforgettable. We felt extremely comfortable with Lynn from the very beginning. Our first meeting with Lynn was all about the food and what we envisioned for our wedding and not a lot of focus on the $$$, which we appreciated. It was more about the relationship for us and we can’t express enough how much we loved working with Lynn and the rest of the team at Classic Catering!! When it was time to make our catering decision, we knew we already loved Lynn from our first meeting with her but after having our tasting, it sealed the deal for us… there was no doubt in our minds that we were making the right choice by going with Classic! The food was amazing!! From that day forward, throughout the entire planning process, Lynn always made herself available to us as if we were her only clients. Then our day finally came, and the service was extremely professional, they were organized, and the food was as delicious the night of the wedding as it was the night of our tasting! We received and are continuing to receive nothing but compliments from all of our guests about how good the food was. On top of everything else, Lynn and her team set both the dining room and the cocktail room up so beautifully. I would highly recommend Classic Catering as your Catering provider… and if you can get Lynn as your point person, your wedding will be as perfect for you as it was for us!

We worked with Nicole Van Natta and Classic Catering for our wedding and thought that she and the whole company were absolutely fantastic. I was going to put 4 stars for Value, because they weren't the cheapest caterer we looked at, but they did such a fantastic job and went above and beyond what I was expecting, I have no regrets about spending the extra money. I feel like we got our money's worth. The food was absolutely amazing (the brown sugar bacon-wrapped scallops were unbelievable), and the staff were very attentive and respectful, and even made up for a mistake that we had made in the seating plan. Nicole really was a huge help every step of the way, from helping to create the menu (including accommodating some changes only a few days before the big day), planning for things we hadn't considered, recommending other vendors (who were also great), coordinating the day of, etc. Our only small complaint was that we were supposed to get some leftovers and didn't, but Nicole has promised us that the next time we're in the area we can swing by and she'll give us some of the goodies. Great great great stuff.

From the start to finish, the staff at Classic were professional and helpful in making our daughter's wedding perfect in every way. They encouraged tastings of our menu selections which enabled us to pick the perfect menu within our budget. We personally recommend Lynn Piette, who was meticulously organized and helped coordinate the event and the vendors to make this a dream wedding.

My husband and I had a guest list topping 300 guests and preferred not to do a sit down dinner. Bobby Pressman of Classic Catering put together an incredible menu for us. We treated our guests to five rounds of passed hors' dourves that leaned heavier as the night went on. He started with items like brie & fig quesadillas, mac n cheese cups, and bruschetta - by the end we were serving crab cake sandwiches and lamp chops. None of our items required silverware, and while we had enough seating for all of our guests, we didn't want them sitting! Our band played three long sets and kept the party going. We did not force our guests to sit. Bobby and the team from Classic were spectacular. The menu was killer and the service from the staff was wonderful. It was certainly a bit of a different wedding in terms of timing, and they did a wonderful job. Bobby also helped us design and decorate the space - everything from a black and white checkered dance floor to real, bar-height bars with bar stools on the side of the dance floor. (They even put olives and nuts and pigs-n-a-blanket on the bars!). Bobby thought of everything. Dan and I couldn't have been happier with how they executed our big day. I wouldn't think of using anyone else to cater anything...Bobby even did the morning brunch as the bridal party prepared! Please, please, please call Bobby!

When I started looking for a caterer I knew it would be my most important decision. As a Chef and an Event Planner I knew I wanted someone who would be willing to work with my ideas and let me "run the show" creatively. Every other caterer in Baltimore balked at the idea, but Classic set up a beautiful meeting with one of the Exec. Chefs and we designed the entire menu, start-to-finish. The food was EXCEPTIONAL and exactly what I had imagined. It looked beautiful, it was served hot and cooked perfectly, and the vegetarian option was just as good.
Classic also helped complete my event by taking care of many of our rentals, like chairs and glassware. Their staff is very professional and very good at what they do. They are THE ONLY caterer in Baltimore I would recommend.
