From the moment we stepped into the historic house, walked the grounds and experienced the intimate setting , we all knew this was the place we had looked for all summer. We came to the vendor party later and were even more sure. In the year since, we have had pleasant informative conversations with the staff. On the big day, the guests were enchanted by this hidden jewel, the photos were fabulous and the ambience friendly and casual yet elegant. We would highly recommend!
The Bradley Estate is a beautiful location for hosting a wedding. We had decided early on that we wanted an outdoor garden ceremony and to take advantage of one of the many beautiful old properties that New England has to offer. We also preferred to work with a non-profit organization if we could and wanted to have the ceremony and the reception at the same location. The Bradley Estate was the last property that we visited and it had everything we were looking for. The grounds are beautiful. There is a large pond, an herb garden, farm land, and a fantastic view outside the back of the house of a forest. The house is full of dark woods, fine details, and turn of the century furniture. It was also important to us to be able to have the reception inside and fit everyone in the same room. Beverly Ann was very responsive and was happy to answer any questions that we had. There did seem to be a lot of rules about what you could and could not do, but they were spelled out clearly in the contract, and it is probably the same at other venues as well. Also, you have to be prepared to rent everything you need, including chairs (though you do have the option of keeping the period furniture inside). Having such a unique location for the wedding was worth it and the estate helped shape our theme too. We were able to pretend it was our house for the day. We visited many times during the wedding planning. Fast forward to our wedding day. We arrived two hours before the ceremony and the estate was in perfect condition. The lawns were perfectly manicured and the gardens were in very good shape, especially considering it was late September. Beverly Ann oversaw the property and made sure that everything remained perfect as the day went on. We had a small wedding, 45 guests, and this was a good size for taking full advantage of the property (no tent required). Our guests adored being able to explore the first floor of the house and the llamas were a hit too.
The Bradley Estate was the most enchanting venue we could have imagined for my daughter's wedding. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the mansion was perfect, not overstated, the staff was wonderful and granted our every wish, and we did have some special requests too, like adding our horses to the grounds for photos.....so memorable. This venue lent itself so magically to the ceremony on these grounds, the dinner tent, and dancing, it's the best wedding I've ever been to. They recommended a caterer, which was top of the line cuisine with interesting, delicious and fun options The band we hired was the best, the ceremony was so memorable. I'd recommend this venue for all kinds of events if you want it to be unique, memorable and give your guests the royal treatment - they/you will never forget it.
My husband and I cannot express our appreciation to Beverley Ann and the staff of the Bradley Estate in their efforts toward our daughter’s wedding. The estate looked beautiful! The grounds were lovely and exquisitely manicured, and the house was perfectly charming and sparkling. Our appreciation to the estate’s staff goes beyond words! The day was perfect, and the bride and groom couldn’t have been happier!
When our daughter and her fiancé were determining a wedding venue, we toured a number of the estates in the area. They were looking forward to an estate wedding where the ceremony and the reception could be held at the same location. The Bradley Estate was our last stop, and it was a freezing cold winter day. Compared to many of the other estates, this estate was tops in how it has been cared for. Our daughter and her fiancé knew immediately this was the place for them!
We must say the online pictures cannot adequately capture the feeling of this place – inside or out.
The estate is located directly off the highway exit, which was wonderful for guests to easily locate. Once on the grounds, you are surrounded by acres of beautiful landscape. You would never know there is a highway nearby. It is a perfect location!
Beverly Ann gave the first tour of the estate. She takes her job seriously, and her main objective is to be sure your event at the Bradley Estate meets your expectations. We appreciated Beverly Ann’s time, insight, and guidance throughout the planning and execution of our event. Her watchful eye and breadth of knowledge was greatly appreciated. We did not have an event coordinator, and Beverly Ann was available for any general questions and guidance.
Our daughter requested a second tour of the estate to determine how she wanted to decorate the inside areas. Lisa was our second tour guide. We appreciated her fresh ideas, and found her to be a joy!
The estate assigns an event manager to be onsite for each event held. We requested to have Lisa as our event manager, and with luck it worked out! It was wonderful having Lisa as a significant player in the roll out of the day. Her professionalism and poise is a perfect addition to any event at The Bradley Estate.
For anyone considering an event for over 100 guests, you must have a tent since the building cannot sit more than 100 for a reception. The Bradley Estate requires you use BC Tent, and we found the pairing to be perfect! Once you book your date with the estate, you will need to contact BC Tent directly. The estate does not manage this piece for you. The estate does have some specifics that they adhere to, such as no covered canopy in the garden area, so if you have over 100 people and it rains, you must have a plan B, since you will not be able to hold the ceremony in the house.
When our daughter and son-in–law first booked their event, the idea of renting a tent, etc., for 150 people gave us all anxiety. However, due to the outstanding service from Valerie at BC Tent, it was a pleasant and stress free experience with exceptional results. There are many options and looks for a tented reception, and the best advice is to take time and look at pictures online for ideas that suit you. Each option has a cost, so keep that in mind when thinking about your budget and check ahead for pricing. Valerie answered questions promptly, and if they didn’t carry a particular item or look, she hunted down the information. Don’t let a tent rental be a worry – you’ll be in great hands with Valerie!
A month or two before the wedding, Beverly Ann sets up a meeting together with you and your caterer to review specifics for your event (i.e. ceremony set-up, what items in the estate you may want to use or have them removed, what each room will be used for, roles of each vendor, etc.) to be sure everyone is on the same page and all parties know what is expected. We found this meeting to be a great experience.
We cannot express how pleased we are that our daughter and son-in-law picked The Bradley Estate for their wedding. The memories we now have at the estate are priceless. It is a beautifully appointed, magical place for a special event of any size. Just walking on the property brings a smile to ones face! The best part is having the grounds open to the public, so we’re able to continue to enjoy the estate for years to come!

The Bradley Estate is a historic mansion sitting on 90 acres located right off of 128. What we loved most about the Bradley is that the Georgian-style mansion was perfect for our intimate elegant reception, while the fenced in pastures for grazing sheep and llamas, offered a rustic feel as well. The Bradley also has a beautiful English-style garden that was perfect for our outdoor ceremony. Everything from the estate to the grounds are meticulously maintained. The Event Manager, Beverly Ann, was absolutely lovely to deal with during the wedding planning. You are allowed to use any vendors of your choosing (other than tent rentals), but Beverly Ann has an extensive preferred vendor list that we found helpful. The Bradley can accommodate weddings up to 100 guests inside the estate and up to 150 guests with the rental of tent on their North Lawn. We opted for dinner and dancing to be held inside the estate. I do have to say that in my opinion, 100 guests inside the estate is very tight. We originally planned on 100 guests, but after our caterer created a floor plan to show how our guests would fit in the space, we decided to reduce our guest list even further because the tables looked too cramped. In the end, we had 75 guests and we thought it was perfect. Also, the rental fee ended up being a little more expensive than we originally planned because we had to pay for additional hours and rent siding and heaters for the loggia. Overall, we had a great experience working with the staff at the Bradley and thought it was a perfect location for our wedding!
The Bradley Estate provided us with the most beautiful venue to have both the ceremony and reception. The Event Planner was very responsive with any questions we may have had in addition to being very organized. This is a great place for any event, not just weddings!
