Addison Park was the perfect place for my wedding. From start to finish I couldn't have asked for more. I worked with Anthony who answered every question I had. From our first meeting to the day before the wedding I knew we made the right choice. The food is amazing, the staff was very attentive. I had a great staff led by Dom and Jonathan. Everyone made us feel so special. My guests are raving about the experience. The grounds are just as beautiful as the inside. Should you choose Addison park you will be very impressed and very happy. The last thing you want is to worry on your wedding day. I had no worries and I thank everyone at Addison Park for making our wedding wonderful!

I know that if you're looking at this review, you probably think I'm a 'one-off' type situation, especially compared to the rest of the reviews below. I said the same thing about other negative reviews before booking with this hall. I will give credit to where credit is due, but at the same time, this place has some major ego issues and treats you with an air of "well if you don't like it, go somewhere else".

Food - Nothing bad to say. The food was amazing from cocktail hour to the vienesse dessert hour. Quick tip: forget the filet, the prime rib is much better.
Hall - The venue is breathtaking. It's the type of positive that led us to overlook a lot of negative throughout the process.
Service - very disappointing for what you pay for. we had a huge (350+) person wedding and had the whole hall to ourselves. The hall wasn't responsive throughout our planning process. We had tons of questions and were told "we'll call you back" and items went weeks without being addressed till we called back. Additionally, leading up to the event, we had heard non-stop from the staff how well taken care of we would be (us, bridal party, and guests) on the day of the event. Our guests were yes, waited on hand and foot. But as for us, i didn't see an ounce of that on the day of the wedding. we didn't have a captain on the day of the wedding and my husband and i ended up sharing one glass of water until our best man found us a waiter to get us a refilll
Vendors - they legit will turn away your vendor if they don't have insurance, and they drop that bomb on you 10 days before the wedding. good times.

The only helpful person was Donna at the front desk. Other than that, Anthony's service was as forgettable as we seemed to be to him.

A very stylish place that you need to experience for yourself and with a guest list being 185 + the service was great.
The servers were prompt friendly and attentive with any request and the bartenders were not only quick but made some fantastic drinks and we sure had a huge drinking crowd 
Our ceremony was in the garden our maîtred Sal was very calm, patient, attentive to every detail even adjusting flowers , bow ties and dresses of my bridal party before the procession, he made me and my Dad feel at ease . My bridal attendant was Steve and let me tell you....attentive without being overbearing.
The food was outstanding , just as everyone else has talked about it , The Addison Park truly made our wedding the best day of our lives , huge THANK YOU to Ed and Anthony !!!

From the time I walked into Addison Park I knew I was going to get married there. Everything that I wanted and more. Absolutely no carpeting or outdated upholstery. All beautiful black and white floors and up to date decor. I knew I was not going to get married in the church so once I saw their outside ceremony space I was so relieved. I had over 200 guest and they all had seating which was awesome. Addison Park is a bit pricey but if your like me and you want everything perfect price is no option. Their Cocktail hour was amazing! Again everyone had seating and the food was endless, anything you want you can have it. Also they were very flexible with their menu and subsituting things if requested. I dealt with Ed from the time we booked and he was even there on our wedding day, Ed is very professional and knows the wedding business. Dominick was our maitre'd, I asked for him personally because I heard he was great and he was definitley the best. No need for a wedding planner when dealing with them. Dinner was great everyone said they enjoyed it and we opted for the extra Viennese hour and that was amazing... Again the food here was great I just wish I got a chance to eat more. Also all top shelf liquor. The only complaint I have is they are a little strict when it comes to their vendors. I hired an awesome band and they would not allow them to have a drink at the bar, some people may agree however I don't think a drink or 2 would hurt. Overall I could not be happier, I was not a needy bride sometimes you need to leave things up to the professionals. Addison Park was definitley worth every penny and I hope I am able to throw another party there one day.

My friend got married here and I felt compelled to write a review. For the most part, it was a lovely venue. Except the sound-proofing wasn't great, which is a serious drawback for a place that hosts multiple weddings and receptions at the same time. During my friend's ceremony, we were treated to "Play That Funky Music, White Boy" from the reception across the hall. All the guests repeatedly turned and looked at the door, as if expecting someone to fix it, but no one did. Similarly, during the reception speeches, the bass was so loud from the reception next door I could barely hear what being was said. I (twice) pointed this out to the concierge, as did another guest, and nothing changed. It's a beautiful venue, the food was delicious -- truly, there was nothing to complain about except the noise. But that was a pretty big deal.

One look at Addison Park and I pinched myself asking if this was for real. It's so beautiful! I laid my eyes on the front of the venue and my jaws dropped to the floor. Of course, initial thoughts were that it wouldn't fit my budget but it did and I thank God for that!

My wedding wouldn't have been a wedding if it wasn't for the venue. The venue was, in my opinion, the foundation to this wedding. It just made everything else shine!

I've heard many things about Addison Park and the way they treat you. All I can say is that we didn't have any problems with them apart for our eggless cake going missing (it's ok, our wedding cake with the eggs was still there). I believe that if you treat the managers and staff as your own, they'll treat you well.

I must say that they have their own rules and it made it harder for some of our vendors but that was understandable.

Everybody loved the venue and I got that fairy-tale wedding that I've always dreamed about.

Addison Park is absolutely beautiful! The grounds, ballroom, center hall, and grand staircase literally take your breath away! As soon as my husband and I visited Addison Park I knew I wanted to get married there. We wanted to get married outdoors on their grounds because their property is so beautiful so we were very happy that the weather allowed us to do this. The food is out of this world, everything is amazing, so many choices and selections and everything is just fabulous. I had so many guests compliment me on such an amazing place from the looks to the food. While I was walking, the lace on my dress snagged and slightly ripped, the woman who sits in the lobby saw this and came right over and offered to sew it! She sewed it right up and nobody was able to know there was a slight tear. I really appreciated this and thought this was a great example of their great service. There were a few things that came up in my experience with Addison Park that I want to touch on. The first was that when we booked with Ed back in July 2009 he gave us the Venetian Hour for half the price for doing it in a 5 hour affair. This was great because the Venetian Hour is not cheap. The 5 hour affair put our wedding end time at midnight. In March 2011 I met again with Ed where he told me that he had been informed that he can not do the Venetian Hour in 5 hours it must be a 6 hour wedding. We were not charged the additional amount but this put the wedding end time at 1am. This, in my opinion, was very late. Had we known that the Venetian Hour could not be done in 5 hours we would have just started the wedding an hour earlier. We had quite a few guests leave after the Venetian Hour as a 1am end time for a wedding is a bit late. The 2nd thing that came up is that one of our meal choices was supposed to be a rack of lamb yet the day of the wedding they did not offer this—they offered our guests veal instead. I was never informed of the meal change and I am glad I did not have menus printed up because if I had I may have been a little annoyed. These were the only two hiccups we had with Addison Park and they were very minor in the grand scheme of things. Addison Park is very expensive but I feel you get what you pay for and that is exactly what we got---amazing service, amazing food, and what I am sure will be amazing pictures. Now that my wedding is over I am hoping I can go back to Addison Park as a guest at someone’s wedding to really sit back and enjoy! Thank you Addison Park for an absolutely amazing wedding day!

Our wedding was 11/14/10 at Addison Park and it was absolutely beautiful. We worked with Ed during the selection and planning process and he was very easy to deal with. He was professional but also laid back and didn't put any pressure or stress on the process which was stressful enough.
Unfortunately about ten days prior to our wedding, we dealt with a woman and unfortunately I dont know her name, but she handles the follow up details and it nearly resulted in us changing our mind because of her extreme rudeness and downright vicious attitude. Her complete lack of professionalism was stunning after weeks of dealing with Ed and even the owner's friendly demeanor. I hope that the facility remedies that situation quickly.
Otherwise, I was thoroughly satisfied and very pleased with the food, atmosphere, considerations, and staff at Addison Park. On the actual day of the wedding, even though there were three other events going on, it was unbeknownst to us and our guests. Our own dedicated staff was extremely attentive, gracious and helpful. Dominick was the matre d assigned to myself, and he was wonderful. Anticipating everything you might need and offering anything desired. We have had guests still telling us that the wedding was the best they had attended in years. Also, the food, and I cant believe I didnt mention that sooner, was superb. The quantity is astounding but its the quality that truly impressed!

First and foremost go to the bridal shows ,food tasting and if you have the opportunity to be a guest at the Addison Park please GO! Our experience with this banquet hall was overwhelming. Service was impeccable , servers in white gloves waiting on you. I booked with Anthony and dealt a great deal with Ed on my final , they were both excellent to deal with , very professional and accurate .
Sal was my maitre d he’s extraordinary , everything went smoothly, nothing ran late, not a single thing went wrong. The food was remarkable, from our cocktail hour to the Viennese Hour , absolutely out of this world and with the help of DJ Steve from Classic sounds in was an amazing night .

Absolutely amazing!!! The whole experience of working with them, from the booking through to my wedding, was flawless. They pay attention to every detail. All of my phone calls, even for the most basic of questions, were returned promptly. My rehearsal went smooth - Ed greeted me at the door, as I was running late due to horrific rain, to calm me and let me know everything would still run smooth and I shouldn't be concerned that we were starting a bit later than scheduled. May seem like a minor detail but amidst the hectic nature of the few days surrounding the wedding, his calming words did wonders. The wedding day went off without a hitch. My captain (Steve) and matre'D (Dominick) did not miss a beat. Everything discussed beforehand was in place and taken care of and I didn't have to worry about anything. They were proactive in taking care of everything that needed to be done (i.e. getting a cart to help me bring everything to the transportation at the end of the evening, packing the top tier of cake for safe keeping, etc). One of my guests commented that this is the first venue he has ever been to that treated each guest as if he/she was the host. The food was amazing and plentiful. Not only did we have more than ample food choices but the quality of each item was superb. One other little detail that you may not think about but my guests definitely noticed (a few mentioned it to me) - there is ample seating during cocktail hour so no one has to stand.

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Addison Park. The venue is very beautiful, elegant, well-maintained, and requires little decoration to give it the grand ambiance you might be seeking for your wedding. But that's where the appeal ends. The people we worked with were often rude, unaccommodating, & unprofessional, and provided us with all their vendor restrictions 1 month before the wedding (8 months after we signed the contract). We were referred to their in-house vendors, who didn't even have the courtesy to return our calls (too bad, they missed out on some serious kickbacks we heard they get from the venue).

We had to scramble to find new vendors to suit Anthony's double-standard rules, which we know Addison Park doesn't maintain for all their customers, as we have seen people previously doing the things we were told we couldn't (e.g. wired LED lighting, reception stage). In the end, we got a few of the things we were originally refused, but it was a painful experience. When you are paying a lot of money and are not receiving any discounts for booking the venue for an entire day with 300+ guests, you would expect much better service. We were not treated as though the management of this place wanted our referral to other potential customers, which is a terrible way to run a business.

Our maitre d' missed several important details, like refreshments for our guests during our 3-hour long ceremony, which we had painstakingly discussed with Ed several times. We also gave Ed a detailed written plan, well ahead of time, that he was supposed to give to the maitre d' but clearly did not. We were very organized in our directions and materials, but Addison Park staff members repeatedly kept asking random people in our wedding party things they were supposed to know, like where Ed had put the favors and place cards. If Ed had given them proper instructions and the maitre d' had taken the time to introduce himself to key people like myself or my mom earlier in the day, some of the scrambling could have been avoided. Ed was on vacation during our wedding, and whoever substituted him cared even less than Ed about our wedding.

I read someone else's review on this site that the staff had messed up their table numbering, so I assigned some family members to review the seating chart before the cocktail hour to ensure this wouldn't happen. I'm glad I did so, because the staff placed the personalized favors we so carefully labeled for each table on the wrong tables. My family members fixed as much of this as they could in the limited time we had on the day of the wedding, but some of our guests got the wrong favors (with someone else's name on them).

Also, the expensive ribbon we provided to Ed for our cake was not placed on the cake, which we discovered too late when we walked into the reception hall to greet our guests. No one from the venue or their bakery called us previously to tell us why they didn't use the ribbon; if they had needed more ribbon (because they provided a 4-tier cake when we were told it would be a 3-tier cake), we would have provided it, but they decided it wasn't important enough to make an effort and give us what we had asked for.

In summary, Addison Park didn't seem to care about being nice to us after we signed the contract or about attending to details we specifically reviewed with them and paid them for. The glowing reviews on this website about warm, caring service from Ed and Anthony are surprising to us, for our own experience with them was frosty and business-like. If we had more time to plan our wedding, we would not have gone with Addison Park and paid a high sum towards the upkeep of Anthony's Hummer and his Prada wardrobe. We found out, though too late, from ALL our vendors who previously worked at Addison Park that many customers before us received similarly poor service and difficult treatment from the venue. Unfortunately, those customers must have been too tired or annoyed to write a detailed review about all the ways in which AP had screwed up. I hope my review will help future brides, grooms, and their families avoid a similar experience.

Overall, we and our guests had a wonderful time, but I would not recommend this venue to people who want to be treated well and feel as though they got their money's worth in service. Wedding planning is stressful enough with all the other priorities one has in life, and you don't need to deal with a venue that adds to your stress.

Our experience at addison park was wonderful. From the moment we saw the hall.." after seeing 20 other places" we knew addison park was the venue for us. Ed had great suggestions throughout the year of planning. Some of the promises he made were not up to par but in the end these small details did not matter. The food, venue, waitstaff, and pictures were all amazing. I felt like a princess all day!

I would highly recommend Addison Park for any event, especially a wedding. The decor is unmatched and a perfect mix of timeless elegance with some modern details. You will not feel the need to "hide" any aspect of the venue as the floors, chairs, walls, ceilings, tables, outdoor seating, bathrooms are all gorgeous. The food is phenomenal. We have been told many times our guests have never seen a better cocktail hour. They are very accomodating to your preferences for both food and alcohol - my husband decided 2 days before our wedding that he wanted a specific kind of vodka and champagne and they searched the state for it! You will feel you are getting way more than what you paid for. The prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent - each member of the staff seemed genuinely proud of their work and eager to pamper you.
The only drawbacks are that they could potentially have 4 weddings/day. Our bridal party felt they were rudely thrown out of the bridal suite when the evening wedding showed up and tossed all their things into a hall closet. We were also unable to have the dessert Venetian hour because another party was coming in after us. Our church wasn't willing to compromise on start times, and the Addison Park only alowed us 1 hour of adjustment to still have the day pricing.
Also, although this is not really their fault, the florist they recommended - Floral Scentiments was horrible. She was very unprofessional and didn't listen to what I wanted at all. She made countless mistakes and I was very disappointed.
The bakery and photographer they recommended were excellent. Overall Addison Park was the best choice we made in all our wedding planning!!! We will likely use them for other major celebrations in our life.

Beautiful reception. Amazing food (we had the Addison menu). Just make sure you know what Addison Park will and will not allow BEFORE you start booking your vendors (i.e. candels, uplighting, etc.).

My experience with Addison Park was awesome. I'll do my best to recap everything so it might be helpful to other brides.

I booked with Anthony over a year in advance of our wedding date. My husband is in the United States Coast Guard and they were very willing to include a clause about changing the date of our event in the case that he had military orders and was unable to be there. (Thankfully, that didn't happen!). Anthony took the time to review the packages, options and pricing with my family and I. Since we had our wedding on a Friday in January, we got a decent deal with some great extras added in.

The rest of the process I worked with Ed. I made several calls over the year, searching for answers on how and when yo do things to move forward. I am an event planner by profession, but have never done a wedding--so some of the timeline and things were slightly different. Ed was very helpful. When he couldn't accomodate one of my requests, he made plently of suggestions to compromise.

The only draw back during the planning process was when I called about my menu selection and cake choice. AP talked to me like I was already supposed to know what to do about the cake and where to go. Once I informed them that I had no idea, they quickly helped get me the right information. The bakery used for the cake was awesome. We loved out cake--and normally I hate wedding cake! I can't wait to eat the frozen top layer on our 1 year anniversary.

The rehearsal we had the day before went perfectly. 20 minutes in and out. Ed helped get everyone organized and places so they knew exactly what to do, who to talk with and when to enter. I switched from the upstairs ceremony room to the downstairs room that night. No big deal for them.

I had a LOT of DIY items and very specific instructions for where I wanted things placed. I provided them with a detailed list, broken down by room or time and they followed everything perfectly. Not a single thing was out of place.

The day of the wedding was also wonderful. Dominic was my maitre d. He was fantastic. Our captain could have helped us out a little more, but someone always took care of us. The bartenders were awesome. Always making sure we had drinks. Everything went smoothly, nothing ran late, not a single thing went wrong. The food was awesome, from what I had of it. It wasn't that I didn't have time to eat, I certainly did, I just wasn't hungry. Too much adrenaline I guess. The Viennese Hour was absolutely out of this world, the vodka louge during cocktail hour a huge hit!

Overall, I'd say Addison Park was extremely accomodating, helpful and an amazing place to get married. I wish I could go back and be a guest at my own wedding!
