  Amazing experience and wonderful photographer

  Would recommend to anyone that wants to capture not only the big moments in life but all the little ones. Truly a wonder person to work and she is so accommodating to everything!

  Best Family Photo Session

  I was searching for a local photographer in my area and I am so glad I randomly stumbled across Tashena Shaw Photography. From the moment I spoke to her, our very first call—I knew she was the perfect photographer to go with. Her spirit alone sealed the deal. On the day of our session, everything went well and she made us feel naturally comfortable. The pictures she captured were the best! I know for sure we will work with her again.   Maternity pictures!

  Me and my husband had a great experience! We were very nervous but Tashena made us feel comfortable! You can really tell she enjoys what she does and took her time and it didn’t feel like she was rushing us through the pictures. The pictures turned out amazing! I definitely recommend her and will be using her services again ❤️

  Newborn Photo Session

  I’ve never felt more comfortable having my picture taken! Tashena is so talented and kind on top of being so professional! She was able to take so many great photos in just a little amount of time, I just can’t believe how great they are! I can’t stop looking at them! I can’t wait to show my little boy when he’s older!

  Amazing! She made my fiancé and I beyond comfortable and allowed us to be ourselves during our session. The pictures she captured that day brought such joy to myself, my fiancé, our families, and our friends. We live in a generation where people are so quick to capture moments on their phone, but to having someone guide you during the process and capture those memories at a much higher quality was priceless.

  Perfect Fit!

  From the moment I read her About Me on her website, I knew I was going to absolutely adore her…and I did! Our wedding plans changed a multitude of times due to COVID. By the time we were able to figure out a set plan and date, we had three months to get everything together. We were lucky enough that my best-friend came across one of Tashena‘s Facebook posts and that she was available for our date. We jumped on the chance to book with her ASAP and I am so glad we did. I loved meeting/working with her and her daughter! She made sure to capture each beautiful moment and even went above and beyond with a special request of mine. I have three large families and I wanted to make sure we were able to get pics with them all…she flawlessly was able to quickly get through each photo I wanted. They came out perfect!

  Amazing experience from start to finish!

  Working with Tashena for our vow renewal was spectacular! She was flexible, cooperative, professional, and skilled throughout the whole process. She was very polite and respectful, and had no problem taking charge conducting groups for photos. I highly recommend you hire Tashena if you're looking for someone to take gorgeous photos you'll love for a lifetime.

  My Family Photographer

  Tashena Shaw was actually brilliant as our wedding photographer. She left no details undone and made sure everyone got involved in the process.   June wedding

  We had an unorthodox wedding, and Tashena was great! She was very easy to work with. She helped me pick out a package that worked for us, was easy to communicate with, and has a great eye! Our pictures were gorgeous (and we loved the sneak peek).

  Knowledgeable, professional photographer

  As someone who knew nothing about wedding photography, Tashena was super knowledgeable and walked me through every step. I told her my vision, and she understood immediately and was even able to help me elaborate on those ideas and enhance them! She’s incredibly flexible with her time and was always responsive, even with all constant questions. She’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met but is not afraid to get the job and do what needs to be done, even getting wedding guests/family organized. I can not recommend Tashena Shaw enough!

  We got married 11/11/17 at Cypress Point Country Club and Tashena was absolutely amazing. I'm so grateful she was able to do our wedding. My husband is very camera shy and she was still able to make him feel comfortable and get some AMAZING shots. The wedding process was very stressful for me, but working with Tashena was perhaps the LEAST stressful part of it. She was quick to contact us back whenever we had any questions and she was so friendly and customer service oriented. It was very cold during my wedding and she suffered through it outside with us and gave clear concise instructions and made the process go quickly and smoothly. I would highly recommend her for any events and absolutely loved working with her. I will definitely be using her services again!!

  Dream wedding

  Tashena's photography for our wedding was nothing but TOP NOTCH! She captured our special day perfectly, and gave us wonderful memories to cherish every time we sit and thumb through the album. I would recommend very highly.

  Tashena did a remarkable job from the time I reached out to her, several months in advance of the wedding, throughout the entire process up to post wedding updates. Communication and detail are very important to me, and since we live in Texas, and she lives in Virginia Beach, the entire planning was done long-distance. When I came to Virginia Beach in July 2015 to finalize things and visit venue, etc., it was just as important for her to meet me, as it was for me to meet her. I was impressed by her desire to really get to know the couple, and their personality prior to the wedding day. She was able to match her professionalism and style with our own.
  
  After I met and had coffee with Tashena, I really like her as a person, and felt that she genuinely cared about making our day special, and capturing all of the moments that we wanted. There's a trust you feel with her, and that helped me relax from planning time, all the way up to our wedding. She was wonderful to work with on our wedding day with her easy going personality, flexibility, and willingness to be open to what we had in mind. As a bride, you sort of felt like she was there as one of your support resources!
  
  I would highly recommended Tashena for any couple planning to get married. Not only were her prices reasonable, the quality of her work was incredible. Our pictures are beautiful as she captured all of the special moments we desired, and more, so that exhibit so much emotion. Excellent photographer with great style and professionalism!

  Tashena has taken photos for us on previous occasions, so when it came time to select a wedding photographer, the choice was an easy one. I had the opportunity to watch her shoot another wedding, and was amazed that it seemed like she was everywhere. And the pictures came out beautifully. She is reliable and prompt, courteous and professional. She was very active and mobile, capturing candid and unexpected moments. Not just the usual "stand here, look this way" poses. Very creative with her composition of shots. I would highly recommend her services, and will use them again myself in the future.

  I know looking for a GOOD wedding photographer can be stressful. They all charge too much and not always reliable/flexible with their customers, or don't always provide the best quality. I highly recommend Tashena Shaw. She is very sweet and considerate person. She knows HOW important your wedding day is to you and she will make everything possible for it to be an easy and pleasant experience. She is very easy to work with, and does an excellent job with her editing tools -- her pictures turn out fresh, bright and very high quality. They look natural (not overly retouched).   I know looking for a GOOD wedding photographer can be stressful. They all charge too much and not always reliable/flexible with their customers, or don't always provide the best quality. I highly recommend Tashena Shaw. She is very sweet and considerate person. She knows HOW important your wedding day is to you and she will make everything possible for it to be an easy and pleasant experience. She is very easy to work with, and does an excellent job with her editing tools -- her pictures turn out fresh, bright and very high quality. They look natural (not overly retouched).   Tashena was amazing! Every bride worries whether or not they have chosen the right photographer... I mean, this is documentation that will last forever. I was surprised, however, at her professionalism and the photographs delivered. She was outstanding! I believe that my husband and I were the first couple to hire her for a wedding, but the pictures were incredible! The entire day was so hectic, but Tashena remained calm and collected and was willing to listen to all of our specific requests and she was still able to photograph important events without "getting in the way". I hardly noticed her, but she was able to capture the most significant moments. She also went out of her way to please both my husband and I, and I would recommend her to anyone needing a professional photographer for any occasion. She was kind, patient, and even felt like part of the family. When we all started getting stressed out, Tashena kept her cool and did her job perfectly. I am more than happy that she was the photographer for our wedding day, because she did such an awesome job.

  Tashena was AWESOME! She did a great job making sure that Brett had everything she needed. She made sure she got every possible photo that Brett wanted that day. She was very professional when dealing with family and friends and firm when she needed to be. I am so glad we went with her. She did an amazing job.
