Mary helped us with the tasting and we decided on the most delicious and unique cake - coconut cake with passionfruit and cream cheese frosting. The guests raved about it and we will be excited to eat it again on our one year anniversary!! Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious :)

Mary and her team are real pros at what they do. My husband and I were completely thrilled with our wedding cake. It was delicious. Mary conducts a very professional and comfortable tasting and has a million wonderful options. She is not afraid to try any design and is also very knowlegable about what works and what doesn't. We still have guests commenting on how good the cake was and I wouldn't hesitate going to Mary for any special occasion. The cake was also beautifully designed and just as we had pictured it. My husband and I were so impressed with all of the unusual cake options at Take the Cake. We ended up picking coconut cake with crème brulee and raspberry filling. We received rave reviews from our guests. Plus, the cake tasting was one of the most fun parts of wedding planning. Take the Cake was so great to work with we had so much fun at our tasting even though we were overwhelmed with options. Our cupcake flavors and options were soo delicious they created a beautiful creation for us and everyone was raving about the different cupcakes. Can't wait to enjoy more of their tasty treats.

We did not have any particular design in mind for our cake, but had some general idea of what our preferences were. Take The Cake designed a cake that was a perfect match to our personalities and our wedding theme and colors. The cake was delicious as well. There are so many great flavors to choose from and the tasting was so much fun. We ended up choosing a chocolate fudge cake with strawberry conserve and buttercream icing. It was definitely not cheap but it was worth every penny!

Hello Mary - We are finally back from our fabulous honeymoon and couldn't wait to thank you for our absolutely GORGEOUS jeweled wedding cake! Not only was it the most delicious cake we've ever tasted but the way the design of the cake turned out was perfect and EXACTLY the way I pictured it! I know it must have taken quite some time to arrange all those jewels so beautifully and I thank you and your team from the bottom of my heart! I'm not sure my husband and I will be able to wait a whole year to eat the top part of the cake! ha ha!

I cannot wait for our 1 year anniversary to have more of the best cake I have ever tasted. During the tasting it was so difficult to narrow down the choices because every combination tasted better then the previous. On the day of our wedding the cake is what we actually made sure we had time to have multiple bites of. Not only did it taste perfect but it was so beautiful and artfully done that it was a shame to cut into it. Even when the pieces were cut and given to our guests the slice was even gorgeous. I only have wonderful things to say about TTC. I enjoyed working with them. We had a great time at the tasting (they really take great care of you) there were so many choices, a little over whelming. :) but, so tasty and the cake was AMAZING!! I gave them a picture in my head and what I wanted it to look like. I couldn't believe when I saw it...it was PERFECT!!! It was exactly what I wanted...they created the most gorgeous and delicious wedding cake ever! I would definatley use them again!

Mary is a genius. Her cake designs are amazing, but more importantly the quality and taste of her creations are out of this world!!! We can't wait to eat the top of our wedding cake for our one month anniversary!

I couldn't have been happier with the cake that Take the Cake made for our wedding. We had such a great time at the tasting and fell in love with the different buttercream flavors they offered. Take the cake really listened to the design ideas I had and created the exact cake I pictured in my head. They were great to talk with me about size of the cake to make sure I had a great looking cake but stayed in budget by using sheet cake in order to accommodate the number of guests. Not many people would stop you from spending too much money like they did. We received so many compliments on the fabulous looking and great tasting cake. I would recommend Take the Cake to anyone having a Chicago wedding.

OH MY. The cake was perfect - inside and out. We HATE fondant and they were able to create the perfect cake with buttercream. They were able to make everything coordinate with the wedding designer and the cake fit perfectly.
