I wasn't a bride who thought I cared about flowers. I had been directed to Suzan by a friend who had a friend that used her, so I set up a meeting. Just minutes in to our meeting, she seemed to really be in tune with us, and although we had no idea about flowers... she got to know US and our tastes - and honestly never thought we'd be as excited about our flowers as we were once our day came!

My wedding was outdoors at a big private estate, so it was quite a task to make the space look full and beautiful with the flower budget that I had. I had a vision of what I wanted and communicated it to her, but she really made my vision come to life with her creative touch.

The center pieces were stunning, and the bouquets were my absolute favorite part of all of the decor. They were stunning and matched the bridesmaid dresses perfectly! My ceremony was down by a lake under a bunch of beautiful willow trees, and Sue turned that space into a whimsical, gorgeous setting. She decorated the tree we stood in front of with flowers, crystals, pom balls, and ribbons. It was stunning. If you are looking for someone to help create a unique, beautiful ceremony space for you, Sue is the best!

Sue is also very reasonable with her prices, and you will get a lot for your money. I interviewed most of the top florists in the city when I was searching for my florist, and by far, Sue was the best for the money. Many other florists were asking twice what Sue charged for a very similar result. Overall, she was excellent, and I very highly recommend her!

No kidding, Suzan is amazing. My daughter's wedding flowers far exceeded our expectations! The freshness, and color, and fullness just made the room and the photos come alive. I've been to so many weddings and couldn't tell you what the table flowers looked like. Months later, I'm still hearing from family members about these amazing flowers! Suzan gave great care to meet my daughter's vision, there were extra touches in how her bouquet and nosegays etc. were wrapped with coordinating ribbons, and she stayed on site until everything was perfect! And she made the planning process a breeze with brilliant suggestions and creative solutions to help us to save money!!!

Our San Diego wedding was absolutely beautiful thanks to Sue Merrill of Suzan M Florals.

My situation was unique for several reasons.
• We live in the Kansas City area but decided to have our wedding in San Diego when my son returned from deployment.
• My husband and I are “almost” senior citizens.
• And…. I didn’t know anyone except my son in San Diego.
So…. I started out with a clean slate. I researched different floral designers on the internet, and became more and more discouraged. They were all so expensive and their designs were really stuffy. Our wedding, being a destination wedding was small; so huge, elaborate, showy designs weren’t something we wanted.

I started assembling a team of wonderful artisans. And… Sue was suggested by our Wedding Officiator.
Wow!! I can’t say enough positive things about Sue. She is easy to talk to… can take an idea and “make it happen” and was reasonable. She even made an artificial copy of my bouquet for me to take home. Having to fly back to Kansas City I knew the flowers wouldn’t survive. I couldn’t believe she could create my every dream…. but she did that and MORE!

Suzan is fantastic, if you go with her you won't be sorry. I was planning my San Diego wedding from New York so I couldn't do a consultation with Suzan in person, but she did a phone consultation with me which was just fine. She got a quote to me very quickly, much faster than other vendors I was working with. When the quote was a little high for me she helped me trim it down to something I could afford; I really appreciated her flexibility. On the wedding day the flowers were GORGEOUS. I had no idea what I wanted so I gave her a pretty vague deion and some color swatches, and boy did she come through, everyone commented on how gorgeous the flowers were. One last thing, I had cut petals out of my order from her for the flower girls to sprinkle down the aisle, just as a way to cut cost. Sue had done a wedding the day before and brought the leftover petals with her for me! It was so thoguhtful of her, and saved me a last minute trip to Safeway to pick up some petals. Sue is wonderful, I really lucked out!

Sue was so great to work with...she offered great suggestions and listened to what I wanted at the same time. She was very nice, professional, and reasonably priced. Her work was beautiful. I absolutely loved my bouquet. I still haven't seen a picture of the swirls she made down the aisle with rose petals...I can't wait, I heard it was really neat looking. I would recommend Sue to any bride!

I was SO very lucky to have found Sue! She completely got my vision for florals for our wedding and worked with a limited budget. She gave us a lot of guidanace on what would work best, what was in season, etc and gave us some fantastic suggestions. The flowers honestly far exceeded my expectations and were so fresh and beautiful and we got a lot of comments on them. We could not have been more pleased with everything! Sue is Ah-Maz-Ing! Her flowers were so stunning at my wedding, the guests could not stop talking about how beautiful they were. She is a gem to work with and has an eye for design, color, and creativity. She took my exact vision and made it come to life! We had her do my rehearsal dinner flowers as well - it was all breathtaking! Thank you Sue!

Our flowers were AWESOME! I had them done by Suzan Merrill of SuzanMflorals.com. She was so easy to work with and came up with some great and very creative suggestions that made the ceremony spot look gorgeous! The arbor at Wiens Family Cellars was covered in curly willow and Sue wove red roses into it and hung a few roses and crystals from the top beam so they were sort of dripping down. My deion is not doing it justice, but it was really really pretty. Our bouquets were the most beautiful red roses and mine had some white mini orchids in it. She did a great job making the ribbons wrapping my bouquet just the opposite of my bridesmaids' bouquets, and it really pulled everything together. My groom's boutonniere and all the moms' flowers were simple and pretty, and the sweetheart table was very elegantly put together. I had heard from our coordinator that Sue, unlike most other florists, stays and helps with or oversees all the set up on the day of your wedding, and pays meticulous attention to detail- and she was most definitely right! I just loved working with her because I knew I wouldn't have to worry about a thing! Sue and her assistant Jenny helped with the setup and even took down the arbor decorations after the ceremony and pictures, and reused a lot of the arrangements for the reception. I was in good hands having them stay and take care of so many of the details! I can't recommend her more!

My wedding flowers were absolutely breathtaking and beautiful and it's all because of Sue!! She did such an amazing job! My flowers were so unique and not like the typical flowers you see at weddings!! It has been 2 months and guests still are commenting on my flowers...even the men :) They lasted well past the wedding and served as great centerpieces at home too! I can't say enough great things!! Let me tell you a little bit about my floral fiasco--UNTIL I WAS BLESSED TO GET IN TOUCH with Sue Merrill from Suzan M Florals.

My initial approach was to take the economical route and go through a local Wholesaler. It was an absolute nightmare to get them to provide me with a contract, and it was even more impossible have my phone calls returned. So, then I decided to utilize my Officiant to handle the ceremony, wedding set-up AND the flowers, out of convenience. She had prior commitments and was unable to make my bouquets for my wedding, so she referred me to Suzan M Florals. I was a little bit nervous to call because I was only looking for my bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and the guys' bouts and from dealing with prior florists, they are generally reluctant to take on "small" orders. When I first contacted Sue, I was suprised that she was incredibly friendly, professional, and down to earth. She encouraged me to share my vision and it was quite obvious that she knew what she was talking about. She was quick to put together an ACCURATE quote. Any time I had a question about flowers for my hair, changing my bouquet flowers, etc, she was quick to respond. I never had a problem reaching her via email or the phone. She promised to have my flowers delivered by a certain time on my wedding day, and she even gave me a courtesy call to see if it was okay if she came a little earlier. When she arrived, she made sure to review my order and that I was satisfied with her work...Even though our actual encounter was brief, she put my mind at ease along the way, that I knew there wouldn't be any issues on my BIG DAY. Suzanne was unbelievable! She was very personable and brought great ideas to the tables. She was able to use her professional expertise and my ideas and put them together into one beautiful wedding. I absolutely loved my flowers!!!!!
