Supafly Promotion is one of our best choice for our wedding! We had a performance at the reception and they are the only DJ business that was very flexible and tried to satisfy all our needs, coordinating well, willing to come to our reception hall many times to make sure everything was in place before the wedding, providing us with great music, willing to go to rehearsal the day before, etc. They are the only vendors that response to all of our needs and concerns the fastest and tried to make everything works. And the most important thing, NOBODY CAN BEAT THEIR PRICE for what they provide (lots of cool lighting for your dance floor!)!!!

Supafly Promotions was fantastic! They kept the beat up and made sure everyone was having fun. They were very good at keeping with the pace we had set up and I wouldn't choose anyone else for my DJ needs.

We were very disappointed that we didn't get to have a dollar dance. We wish we would have specified the order for dances better, but by the time the DJ planned the dollar dance it was 3-4 hours after the reception started and the majority of our older/family guests had all left, we asked him not even to do it at that point. We felt it would have been better to do right after the first dances instead of the garter/bouquet toss. We were also disappointed that the DJ showed up late to set up and half of our venue could not here the music because the level of music was not tested and my father had to keep going back and forth asking him to turn it up and turn it down at different points. The music choices were great and the DJ did play for the crowd, but at the end of the night we felt cheated as a bridal couple to not have dollar dance and not for all of our guests to here the toasts and the announcements to come watch for the first dances.
Supafly Promotions responded with the following comments:
In response to your wedding wire feedback….. First of all I would like to thank you for your feedback. It was a joy to be a part of your special day. It will help me and my business, with learning experiences going forward. In regards to the dj being late, I arrived at the venue at 345pm. Ceremony started at 5pm, on time and wedding reception began at 630pm, on time, when string quartet stopped playing, based on the bride's and grooms instruction. I setup for the ceremony and that portion was ready (in regards to Supafly Promotions providing the sound). That was complete no later than 430 or 440pm. You had the string quartet playing during the ceremony and until about 630pm. At about 515 or 520pm, I, the dj was setup with sound and lighting and ready to go. So I am unsure where we are getting the dj was late. 2nd item. Acoustics and sound of the Josolyn Art Musuem. I, the dj was place in the reception area where the wedding party was to be. Its difficult to give a good determination but where the dj was placed in regards to the other rooms. Basically i was down in an area, like a culd a sac, where the room was enclosed, with the exception of the stairs into the room and a open area to where a table was placed for additional guest seating. For all you djs and musicians out there, we all understand that regardless of how loud you crank up the music if your in a pretty enclosed area, that sound cannot get out. It’s like filling up a bag of water and poking two holes in it. The water is only going to escape the two holes. I did understand that and when talking to the bride and groom in the planning process, it was my good understanding that the majority of guest were going to be where the dj was going to be. I only thing i would have done differently would have brought at extra speaker to place up in the walk way area of the venue. We also went over, in detail where the dj was going to be and how the sound was going to get to other rooms in the venue. The groom was not that concerned cause it was a big place and he said the sound should travel ok. I also sent an email to the bride to ask questions and address the sound issue and never heard a response. So based on all that information gathered via meetings and emails, I assumed it was a non issue. I did not advise or suggest additional sound equipment due to getting an understanding from the bride and groom that the majority of their guests would be in the area where the dj was when the reception really got going. Also i did not want to drive up the additional cost to the bride and groom but it was more so, the majority of the guests would where the dj and main reception are was. Again this was all based on our conversations we had when we met. 3rd item. Dollar Dance. Supafly Promotions provides an online wedding itinerary for its clients to complete prior to their event. On the itinerary, it specifically has options for the client to choose what dances they want to do and when. Also there is an option to choose to have the dj choose when to do the dance, based on the flow of the event. Based on how everything was flowing with dinner, toasts, early special dances, i saw, based on where i was (the dj), that there was a pretty good gathering of folks near the dance floor, on the stairs, in the adjacent rooms, to get the dollar dance started around 9pm. That is still 2 and 1/2 hour left in the party. One thing i do not agree with in response to the value is flexibility. When we meet with all brides and grooms, family and friends, we always, always, let them know, like i suggested to the bride and groom, that if you feel you want a event to change time wise, or be earlier during the night or to start right now let me know. Brides and Grooms want everyone do their event to be flexible but they do not allow flexibility within themselves. Attention, Brides and Grooms, if you’re working with a individual or company they say they are flexible and will be throughout the night, just come up to the dj and tell them what you want or want to change. Rather than not do and then at the end of the day be upset that the party did not go how you would have liked. When asked, i played requests. I played all requests asked. Regarding the volume of music, over 15 guests kept asking me to turn the music up and then down.... I did my absolute best to accommodate everyone. I played special songs and requests for the wedding party, bride and groom to keep them going and involved throughout the night. I guess this review is a little confusing for me due to the fact at the end of the night the bride, groom and father of the bride were very appreciative of my service and time. At the end of the day, Brides, Grooms, family and friends, when planning for your event, based on whatever dj or dj company you choose, openly communicate with the dj, especially during the night, so if changes or adjustments to events or happenings need to happen as you see fit, they will happen. Being a wedding dj is one of the hardest things to do in this profession. You, the client, if you do not communicate, before, during and at the end of your event, you’re never going to get what you want. No one can read minds. Based on all the information djs do their very best to accommodate the bride and groom, first, (we do!) and then the family and guests. Please be reasonable and understanding. If you feel that something is not happening fast enough to your liking or when you wanted it, just let them know. Especially with us. If they are a great dj or company they will accommodate you and keep things flowing good.In response to your wedding wire feedback….. First of all I would like to thank you for your feedback. We hired this dj to provide music, not to take photos. Supafly has their own photographer for promotional purposes and I understand that but their photographer continually got in the way of our wedding photographer. Supafly even threatened to leave at one point when their photographer was told to stay out of the way of the wedding photographer. I am the mother of the bride and the dj was very confrontational with me and rude. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Supafly Promotions responded with the following comments:
In response to review of Rivera/Nolan Wedding 6-3-2011 As President of Supafly Promotions I stand behind my decision (on stopping the performance) and felt the issue that was presented to me during this event was handled properly. According to the terms and conditions of the entertainment agreement, services for the wedding and reception were provided flawlessly. The client has no complaint. The client’s only issue was with the photographers (there’s – Mike Becka and ours). Based on the phone call I received to come to the venue, my dj and photographer expressed concern that the family’s event photographer was using vulgarities and being blatantly rude to the dj and photographer. I confirmed this after arriving and speaking to the mom of the bride and their photographer. His behavior when I met with them, confirmed his behavior during the event. I understand that situations arise, especially in the photography field, that some individuals can get territorial, but that is no reason to act unprofessional and use foul language or represent yourself unprofessionally. We are not a company or organization that will “swallow our pride” on behavior unbecoming of someone and the company they represent, and based on that, continue to provide service. When I receive a phone call from my photographer that is upset on how they are being treated and from my dj to the point that he or she wants to cease the performance, unfortunately a business decision must be made at that time. I communicated that to the mom and the performance proceeded without interruption. I would rather be known as a company that is well respected than is walked all over. When reading this review I hope you ask yourself some questions or feel free to contact me (company president) before you make the decision not to use our company for your entertainment needs. If the client feels we did not provide services based on the terms and conditions of the entertainment agreement, we would be happy to offer a full refund. In response to review of Rivera/Nolan Wedding 6-3-2011 As President of Supafly Promotions I stand behind my decision (on stopping the performance) and felt the issue that was presented to me during this event was handled properly.
