The Suncoast Casino and Hotel is the perfect place for a wedding and reception. We had our wedding out in the gazebo area which is beautiful and our reception in the sunrise room. I had a million questions with Caroline, my sales rep, answered every question and in a timely manner. The food was priced reasonably but tasted GREAT!!! Every guest enjoyed the meal. Our wedding cake was included in the package deal so that was one less thing I had to worry about. I was able to block a group of rooms for a decent price and the Suncoast has a shuttle service for transporting out of town guests. The rooms are nicely decorated! I highly recommend the Suncoast Casino and Hotel for your wedding!!!

We decided to take our bridal party bowling for our "rehearsal dinner.' I'm glad we did it, it was a lot of fun. And the Suncoast casino was a very convenient location. Getting the event booked was a bit frustrating. The event coordinator for the bowling alley was not very good with communication. I had to call several times before she finally responded. But eventually things worked out. We showed up on the day of and everything was ready to go. So that's really all I can ask for in the end!

Well, our beautiful wedding reception was held here on 9/22/12. Everything was just like I had pictured it and I would like to thank Nicky and Peter for making it possible.

In the beginning of the process it was a little rocky because the person who booked our reception quit and i didnt know until about 2 months later...(we booked 11/2011 and i found out 1/2012) I had been wondering why no one had contacted me about an email I had sent the person who booked with us. I was furious. I could not believe no one reached out to us and was courteous enough to say "hey, sorry about that someone else will be helping you with all the arrangements..." I had to contact the director of sales & catering and basically ask who would be in charge of our reception. He was kind enough to take it upon himself to handle everything...we changed the menu, ordered our cake and even get a few extra hours added on for no charge...it was great but seemed too good to be true. We met with his assistant a few times and she would always send me emails....asking if i would like a tour of the rooms to see if I would be interested in booking my reception there...um...hello?! where have you been lady...it was really obnoxious; but i let it go. Then a few weeks before our wedding my husband paid 75% of our balance to the director of sales& catering...two days later I call because I have some questions...then i am told..he NO LONGER WORKS THERE!
I shouldn't have been surprised considering what happened in the beginning but i was...I mean my husband had just given him a few THOUSAND dollars two days before...geez, it was not what you want to hear when you are a super-stressed out bride to be.
I would only recommend this venue if you don't mind your wedding being put on the back burner and constantly feeling like no one wants to take the responsibility of handling your reception.

We booked the Suncoast Hotel & Casino for the night before our ceremony/day of our ceremony get ready rooms because it was the sister property to the hotel we booked our guest room block and closer to our ceremony site. The reason why I gave such low stars was because of the Sales Office. During the tour of the hotel rooms, there were two different versions of the suites and I specifically selected one when we made the reservation. I emailed Cynthia, the Sales Manager, the specific suite type I wanted considering there would be professional pictures that had to be taken in the room. Lo and behold, my husband and I drag our weary bodies to the end of a very long hallway after a crammed week of wedding prep and rehearsal/rehearsal dinner and it was the wrong room. We trudge back down to Registration only to be told no notes had been included in our reservation and there was no other room at ALL to move us to. I admit I may have overreacted but I was so upset we didn't stay at the hotel and wasted a lot of money. I had done everything right, emailed Cynthia TWICE, received confirmation, and I was just at my breaking point. Additionally, they are SUPER inflexible. Don't expect any kind, helpful service as a bride. Check out for the hotel is at 12:00 and I was asking if we could do a late check out at 12:30 or 1 PM instead - all she would say is that she couldn't guarantee it. Additionally, during the tour, she had another representative take me around. Bianca mentioned that in the past they've done half/pro-rated check outs (like at 4 PM) before but when I asked Cynthia, she said it isn't done. I kept getting told different things. I came back the next morning feeling better so overall, the room itself was great - super spacious with lots of gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and views of the Angel Park Golf Club and Tivoli village across the street. It was absolutely perfect for our hair and make-up and no one felt like they were crowded.

We did our room block for out of town guests at the Suncoast, as well as a day-after breakfast. Everything from beginning to end with the Suncoast was just terrible. I hated my entire experience. I had to send multiple e-mails, call multiple people and talk to management to get any questions answered. The people were rude, unreliable and unhelpful. There is absolutely no incentive of doing your room block here, either. The "special rate" is like $10.00 less, and it's actually cheaper to do the buffet at the register than through group sales. I would NOT recommend anyone to do business with the Suncoast for their wedding - at least for hotel.
