We were introduced to Summer through Royal Fig Catering. Summer took the ideas and pictures I brought to her and made a masterpiece. It was exactly what I wanted. We had a September morning wedding and our flowers were green orchids with purple. She made a stunning ivory cake with matching sugar flowers, ribbon and a ivory leaves. Not only did it look great, but it tasted great too. We decided on a hummingbird cake because the wedding was in the morning with a cream cheese buttercream frosting. Our guests are still talking about the cake!! It was a perfect brunch dessert.

If you want the most elegant and delicious wedding cake imaginable, look no further than Stardust Pastry! The tasting experience was my favorite we had anywhere in town. Our wedding cake was absolutely breathtaking with lots of intricate lace and tiny crystals, as well as the most stunning sugar flowers. The flowers were so lifelike that they even fooled my own mother, who not until the day after the wedding realized they were made of sugar (and she has a cake decorating background)! We also ordered macarons which were to die for. There are many places where you can get a cake that looks and tastes good, but Stardust is head and shoulders above the rest. They are truly talented and I believe their cakes to be more delicious than all of the big names in town. I will definitely go back to Stardust in the future for special occasions, and will be recommending Stardust to all of my family and friends.

Summer was so accomodating to work with being an out of town bride. i was only in town for a few days to plan and ended up at the wedding experience show at the driskill where i met summer. she agreed to fit me in for a tasting early the next morning before my flight left. after taking one bite of her cakes, i knew she was the one! she immediately understood the vision i had for cakes and had so much to contribute to the designs. she was able to perfectly execute both distinct cakes and they tasted perfectly too!

The cake tasted amazing--very clearly the best tasting cake for the price. But, after we received our pictures from our photographer, it became clear that the cake was discolored in several places (it looks like the food coloring was separating from the butter cream). It was still beautiful, and probably no one but me noticed, but still!

Summer at Stardust was seriously amazing. I tasted at 7 different locations in Austin, including all the well ranked bakeries like Simon Lee and was not impressed. Summer's cakes blew me away (SOOOOO TASTY!). For our wedding we had vanilla bean cake with passion fruit and strawberry preserves with white chocolate and vanilla bean butter cream, with butter cream frosting on the the outside as well as pure almond cake with apricot and lemon verbena preserves with vanilla bean butter cream. Seriously, amazing! best value, best cake, and our design was perfectly executed! Thanks summer!

Stardust Pastry provided us with a beautiful cake!! Plus it tasted outstanding!! Summer was so easy to work with, and she is so creative with all of her cake designs. The hand-made sugar flowers were beautiful!!! They looked so real! We will be using her again!! Thank you Summer!!!!

When we were tasting cakes, the major complaints we had with most cakes were that they were too sweet, or they had a weird Crisco-type of mouth feel (or both). We went with Stardust because Summer's cake was the only one that avoided both of those issues. Plus she was flexible about doing cupcakes versus regular cake -- she even made mini-cupcakes for the bride & groom so that we could taste all 4 flavors at our wedding without going into a coma!

The most popular flavors at our wedding was the almond cake with raspberry coulis (heaven!) and the whoopie pie (chocolate cupcake with scratch-made marshmallow topping which had been dipped in chocolate).

Her sugar work is impeccable and she was extremely responsive and professional throughout the process. I would hire her again in a hot minute.

When we met with Summer 4 months before the wedding to cake taste, we were extremely excited because of what we were presented with. The cakes tasted amazing, were pretty, and she seemed to be flexible. Up until the date of the wedding, everything went well. Sadly, on the day of, the cake arrived 4 HOURS LATE. We barely had time to do a cake cutting ceremony and get pictures of it. It literally arrived 2 hours AFTER the reception started. I would think maybe there was something going on traffic wise, but Summer lives in the same neighborhood as our site. I've driven between the two and it takes less than 5 minutes to get there! Everybody was trying to get a hold of her, and she was not very responsive. Once the cake got there, the grooms cake was smaller than expected, and the wedding cake had a seam/gap in the design right in the front of the cake, which was very noticeable. I could definitely send a picture, if needed. After the wedding, I tried to get a hold of Summer through the phone for some kind of explanation, but NEVER got any response back. I called and left messages that were never returned. All in all, the cake tasted good, but the stress of it all was NOT WORTH IT. I would NOT recommend using Stardust Pastry.

Summer is an outstanding pastry chef! She was so creative and provided us with breathtakingly beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. I contacted her several times to make sure I covered every detail and she was always patient and prompt with all of her responses.
