As always, we love great feedback like this with positive recommendations! I do recall the miscommunication issue and it was not the fault of the bride (or the band). We're always happy to learn a new song for brides. We include the statement on all our our literature that we need at least an 8 week notice so that we have time to write charts and rehearse the song. The wedding coordinator didn't make rmarieblunt aware of this until two weeks before the wedding. So, we ended up using a CD instead.

This is an example when using a booking agent or an event planner to coordinate with a band or DJ can be an issue. Almost all of our clients book the band directly and that eliminates any chances of miscommunication since in our case, I work hard to be very organized. It's also less expensive to book a band directly since you will avoid the booking agent fee that is typically included in the cost. The female vocalist had agreed to perform at this wedding even though it was her graduation day at Washington University where she completed her doctoral program in pharmacy.
