I ADORED my wedding gown and would pick that dress again if I had to do everything over again! However, after buying my gorgeous gown and I requested some alterations from the seamstress on site, the seamstress did not do everything I asked her to do and I had to go to another seamstress to get my alterations done correctly! I got a great deal on the dress when I bought it so that was the up-side!

They try to get you to order sizes way too big so they can alter the dress. I had to agrue with them to order the size i wanted- which fit perfect! They were priced higher then other stores in the state that carry the designer i purchased- they came down some on the price so we purchased there. Not very impressed with the owner or management there. Allison, the sales girl, I worked with was very nice.

Ordered a dress I never rcvd and now they are out of business. Can't do ppl wrong and expect good to come to you.

I was very impressed with Southern Bride when I first went in to find my bridal gown. My sales consultant was wonderful and she helped me choose a great gown. I bought my gown off the rack and it was very affordable! I was trying to find a brooch that I had previously seen in the store, and the owner never could get it for me. She was very hard to work with and wasn't very appreciative of my business. It was during the time when WYFF had done a story and them, and I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. I went ahead and had my alterations there. The seamstress was great and made my dress fit my body. It was when i went to pick it up that I had problems. There were mixed hours of operations from the answering machine to what they actually were open. Twice I went to pick up my dress and they were closed. The second time was the morning of my Bridal portrait and the owner blamed it on me for not already having it. Even though it was 2 days before that they were still having to do alterations. Customer service was terrible. But I did get an awesome dress at a great price :)

I have very mixed feelings about Southern Bride. At first, when I went dress shopping and actually bought my dress, it was awesome. Ali helped me above and beyond. I never felt uneasy. Then, she left, and it all went down the tubes. My dress was promised to me by the beginning of February (seeing as I bought it in September), and when I called two weeks later, they were rude and said that the dress must be stuck at customs. Ummm ok....So, I called the next week, and she said it still wasn't in. Then, the first week in March I called, and it finally came in...Thanks for the phone call! I get it altered there, and it was such a rip off. I know wedding dresses are more, but they didn't do much but a one button bustle and bring the front of the dress up a 1/2 inch. It was $200 and my bustle broke at the beginning of my reception. My mom got her MOB dress there, and they ordered it 2 sizes too big and wanted to charge $400 in alterations, so we took it elsewhere, and he fixed their BIG screw up! This was the only vender that I was very disappointed by.

Missy was absolutely fabulous to deal with. The dress maker sent bridesmaid dresses that weren't right and we were pressed for time. They were constantly in touch with the manufacturer and when my dresses finally got there just days before my wedding they had everything worked out to get the dresses altered in 2 days. They even managed to take one dress from a 14 to a 6 for one of the girls who had lost a ton of weight! Their customer service was outstanding!

Carol helped me to find my San Patrick gown and it was absolutely breath-taking. I could never have imagined that I could look like I did on the night of my wedding. I will forever remember the excited, happy, in-awe look on my hubby's face when he first saw me come down the aisle in my dress and veil, both of which came from Southern Bride. While a bit pricy, I didn't find anything in any other boutique that suited me as well as this dress does. They helped me to put together a complete look and I couldn't have felt more picturesque. On top of the amazing results they helped me achieve, throughout the planning and shopping process I received excellent customer service. I recommend them to anyone shopping for a gown in the upstate area.

Although i i loved my dress and it was a great price! they're customer service sucks and i wouldnt trust them to order anything, because it wont come in on time, theyll lie to you about it and then not call you for weeks when it does come in!

Loved my dress! It was too long, so I had to have some of the linings hemmed. I went twice for fittings, and the dress still had not been hemmed. They lady ended up doing it while I waited. She was very sweet, but that was annoying.

I worked with Allison and she was great! I had to buy a dress off the rack because they said it would take 4-6 months for that dress to come in and I didn't have that long. The dress wasn't my size so even with alterations it was a little big in the bust. We had to tie the corset super tight to make sure the top was tight enough that I wouldn't have any issues, which made it hard to breathe. The dress looked great, but was just a little uncomfortable. I also had a few issues with the length. It could have been taken up a little more as I stepped on it going down the isle. But that was my fault for not having it taken up more (I'm a short girl) :) Overall, my experience with Southern Bride was a positive one. Everyone was extremely courteous and I didn't feel like just another face in the crowd!

This is the second wedding in our family that we have used Southern Bride. We knew it would be our first stop for this wedding, and we did not have to look any further. SUPERIOR customer service, great value with their extensive dress selection, and a fabulous seamstress on site. The seamstress took the dress, and embellished it to our specifications, and we could not be more thrilled....additionally, she took the fabric and made the ring pillow to match the dress...unbelievable!
We had an issue with the manufacturer, and the SB staff was right on top of it,and, with their persistance, we met a short deadline for the dress. The bridesmaid selection is also good, and very reasonably priced. Our girls were thrilled with the dress we selected, and also with the price! It is true that they know who you are when you walk in the door...that's a great feeling!

This business was wonderful! I did not buy my dress from them but I did get my dress altered there and purchased accessories. The staff was so helpful and welcoming!! Alterations were perfect too!

There was confusion with my dress selection at first and the paperwork was lost, but by the time we got ready to order the dress everything was smooth sailing.

Thanks to Southern Bride! I was so happy that I chose the dress I did. On our yacht wedding we had, this dress was perfect. I would have never believed all the compliments that I would receive from the dress. I am absolutely thrilled about my "perfect" wedding dress. I can not say enough about Southern Bride. They definitely went above and beyond when it came to finding my dress. They should be considered before any other bridal store. They were unique, and had styles that can not be compared to others. I wanted something that not everyone else normally wears and they had it! I was not sure exactly what I wanted to wear, but I was treated like I was the only customer in the store. This is unusual from other stores in the area. They kept pulling out more and more dresses until I found the perfect one. The prices are very reasonable and the staff and management are a pleasure to work with. They made the wedding planning process very simple for me and my family! They were very organized, particular and detailed to each individual. I would not trust the service and professionalism with any one else! Trust me! I would recommend them to anyone. Missy and the staff were always so sweet and so fun to be around! I could not ask for any better. Their attention and care to only me made this experience a pleasure! Thanks to Southern Bride!!!!

I could not have asked for more from Southern Bride. I shopped bridal shops from Greenville to Charlotte and the staff at Southern Bride far exceeds the other shops. Not only did I get my dress there but we also purchased bridesmaid dresses there. I am a plus sized bride and finding a dress I thought was going to be a challenge. Every shop I went to brought out the same dress for me to try on if they had one for me to try on..I am sorry but just holding it up to you does not do the trick. From the moment I walked in at Southern Bride the staff treated me beyond my expectations. They listened to what I wanted showed me to the dresses in MY size and were very helpful in choosing a dress that was for me. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and was in a dress that I truly loved and not one that some stylist says I should wear. I was also concerned with my bridesmaids since they ranged in age from 11 years old to 37 years old also in all shapes and sizes. What can I say but that once again each and every staff member that we came in contact with over the several occasions to pick out the bridesmaid dresses was so helpful. I chose to pick a designer and color and let my girls choose their own dress. Each and everyone of my bridesmaid was given time and help in making their decision. Myself plus all of my girls had alterations taken care of at the shop. It was a smooth and non stressfull experience. Even for the 11 year old which they had to pratically make her dress over. She could not fit into a junior bridesmaid size. They ordered her an adult size and the altered it to look like a junior bridesmaid. I was so happy she looked her age and she was thrilled with her dress. This was a total of 6 people who had a wonderful experience at Southern Bride, not one of us had a complaint and loved our time we spent with Missy and her staff. I would tell any bride that I come in contact with that there is only one choice for where you need to go to get your dress.
