This was another vendor that was chosen by the Pelazzio (my venue), but yet another top notch choice by them as well! I cannot say enough good things about Paul Olsen, the owner of this company (who also happened to be the DJ at our wedding). He was very responsive to our special requests, and gave us some very good suggestions when choosing songs. He was involved just enough to help speed things along (cake cutting, garter toss, etc.), but also stayed out of the way just enough to ensure that things were flowing naturally. What I mean by this is allowed people to come up and make requests (I was okay with this) but still made sure that the order of events were getting done, and also talked us through the events as they happened (gave helpful hints during the garter toss; helped get people out of their seats for the dollar dance.) These are all very important things that your DJ must do. I would highly recommend this service to anyone that is looking for a DJ.

Paul Olson was great to work with during the planning process. My groom and I were pretty specific regarding the music and order we wanted things to happen. Paul is the owner and handed us off to Peter for actual night. Peter was great! He did a wonderful job in keeping things moving along and checking in with us to make sure things were on track. we used their basic package and overall thought they were a great value.

Luis and Jorge our DJ's did a great Job!!! Everybody was so pleased with the music, because it was a great mix of different styles, all the people enjoyed the games and it was a really fun party! They are really accessible and I would really recommend the All star Package. Having a DJ and an Animator is totally worth it!!! Love Them!! Thank you Paul for sending me two amazing DJ's!

They were an absolute pleasure to work with. Very easy and friendly. Our DJ Gary did a wonderful job during the reception and our guests enjoyed him. He just made things flow and I didn't have to worry about anything! I would recommend Sound Connections all day any day!

I was very happy with owner he was great helping us figure out and plan the flow of ceremony and reception and helping with some choices. The DJ was great even having to change some last minute things. The only thing I could say negative is there were a couple of songs we had on our list that werent played that were special to us. I also wanted more of a hype guy.

DJ Alex (aka Cubanito) did a great job by keeping everyone on the dance floor. We specifically requested a bi-lingual DJ and could not have asked for a better fit. Alex moved the party along but did not abuse the mic. He was also flexible when we asked for a slight change during our reception.

The key to the success we had was the fact that both Alex and the owner, Paul, really listed to our wants and desires. They did not try to upsell us to services that we did not want or need. The best part of it was that he did not play any songs from our DO NOT PLAY list!

I have very mixed feelings about this service. I was impressed with the way they ran their organization and with the friendliness and professionalism of the people I worked with prior to my wedding. I could also tell that the DJ had experience, which was helpful during the event. However, I paid for an "All-Star DJ", which costs $1,000.00 and felt that there were certain things the DJ should have done differently on my wedding day.

As a reasonable person, I understand that a DJ not doing everything I want, instinctively, is nothing to be upset about. He was personable, friendly, and seemed to understand how a wedding should flow, which was something I expected due to my being sold an All Star DJ, so I appreciated his expertise in this area. However, I did have an issue with a few ways the DJ handled himself.

I specifically wrote "No Requests" on my service form prior to the wedding. I provided the DJ with "Dinner time music", which he played for a while, until guests began to request a certain genre of dinner-appropriate dance music. Again, this was something I had no problem with, and did not mention anything to the DJ.

However, prior to booking the DJ service, and during the entire consultation period, I was very specific about the type of music I wanted played after the cutting of the cake, etc. I wanted it to be free and fun dancing, as opposed to slow dancing, swing dancing, shag dancing etc. During this time of the evening, the DJ stopped playing songs that fit this deion (including departing from the "Must Play" list) and played this slower music, intended only for couples to dance to. The dance floor cleared, except for one couple. I approached the DJ and asked him not to play any more of this type of music. Again, I don't blame him for attempting to please the guests, I don't expect him to read my mind, but it was his reaction that displeased me.

Instead of apologizing or reverting back to the music I had selected, he began to rationalize his choice, saying that he had a lot of guests wanting that type of music. (This would again be one thing if guests were not dancing, had requested this music and then filled the dance floor upon hearing it... quite the opposite was true, with even the mother and father of the bride leaving the dance floor when he played this selection). He proceeded to attempt to change my mind in regards to the music I played, at which point I asked him to only play the types of music we had previously decided upon. I felt that I couldn't leave him with those instructions, and had to ask him rather forcefully, as a polite request from the bride didn't seem sufficient enough.

After this point, I felt that I had to continue to check back in with him to see what he would be selecting, every few songs, so as to keep the momentum on the dance floor. Not wanting to micromanage, or worry about this, I walked over with one of my bridesmaids, and gave him the instruction that whatever she requested could and should be played. (The only time I specifically mentioned that requests should be taken. Again, the type of request taken during dinner was appropriate, so it was not a problem).

At this point, all of my bridesmaids had seen him try to rationalize his song choice, and felt that he had essentially talked back to me, as opposed to the "customer is always right" attitude I would have expected. Throughout the evening as myself and my bridesmaid attempted to have the music stay on track, he did play some good songs, and seemed to understand what the crowd wanted to hear. He also allowed the music to "crescendo" as we had previously discussed, playing big crowd hits at the appropriate time, and having guests gather for our exit, all of which was appreciated, and one of the benefits of a DJ with his level of experience.

However, during this time, I felt that I had to send someone to watch and ensure that he played the music I wanted to hear. There were a few flubs in the timing of things (attention to get the cake cut, having guests leave the ballroom for the departure) but due to the size of the ballroom and the sound capabilities, I don't blame the DJ for these minor errors. I realize that no wedding is perfect, but the DJ should have changed his reaction to myself, my bridesmaids, and my guests.

After the wedding, we were due to play a final song, for myself and the groom to dance to, which I ended up scrapping, as guests lingered prior to our "departure". The DJ again tried to explain himself, the music he played, how it was what our guests wanted, but I felt that he needed to play what the bride wanted. My bridesmaids and I felt that he talked back to me, in essence, and they felt disrespected on my behalf. After our departure, the Dj proceeded to get into an argument with a bridesmaid (she had to politely tell the groom and I that we had no more time to talk, as our guests were lined up in the hall with bubbles), and she later missed our grand departure from the ball room.

All of this being said, I wish that the DJ had honored my wishes, as the bride, and in accordance with all that we had discussed prior. I don't fault him for attempting to please the guests, but I do fault him for attempting to please a certain group of guests over the bride. The reaction to the types of music was very clear, as guests were on the dance floor during the music I had discussed with him, and when he played the requests of the certain few guests, there were 2 people left on the dance floor, again, with the mother and father of the bride departing from the dance floor. I wish the DJ had instead apologized, saying that he was playing 1 song for these guests, and intended to return to my playlist for the remainder of the evening. This would have pleased the small amount of guests that requested other songs, while returning to the dance music the vast, vast majority of guests wanted. It would have also allowed me to relax and not feel the necessity to place a bridesmaid in charge of "checking in" with him, and would have left no space for the DJ to "back talk" me, my guests, or appear to be unaccommodating to myself or my guests.

Paul was our DJ, and he did a fantastic job getting everyone to dance at our wedding. We had a great time dancing ourselves! He really asked a lot of great questions about the music we wanted. I only wish we had done some more game type stuff - he had a lot of great options to choose from.

Great! Our DJ, Frank, was wonderful! He didnt talk too much, took time out to meet us prior, and helped us with lighting! We went with the all star package and the full lighting package, and it was well worth it! Our room looked incredible! And it was all due to the lighting! Frank played everything we asked and we had a great time! Everyone was dancing all night long!

Awesome!! Never let the party stop. All of the guests kept commenting on how good he was.

Our DJ, Koerte Knight with Sound Connections, was excellent! He took the time to meet with me prior to the wedding on several occasions to answer any questions that I had about the flow of the reception and the music to be played. We paid more by going with Sound Connections than another DJ had quoted us, but we are so glad that we went with Sound Connections because it was well worth the extra money. Not only did he play music (and get EVERYONE out of their seats), he played games and got the crowd involved. Our music selection was also not the norm because I requested to have some Persian music played at our reception and he had no problem playing it. We provided him with the CDs to play and instructions and he kept everyone dancing. I HIGHLY recommend these guys! They are great!

The DJ was great! What I liked best is that he really got the crowd involved! He didn't just stand up there and play music, he really responded to the actions of the crowd. If everyone liked a certain kind of music, he kept playing it, and also took requests! He worked well with my time line and had good suggestions to give me! Thanks for a great night!!

This is the PERFECT wedding DJ. We went with the 'All-Star Package' and it was the most fun wedding I have ever been to because of the MC. He was awesome- he got people dancing who usually refuse to dance! They're easy to work with, they REALLY DO listen to what you have to say about your favorite songs and they just try and get to know you and incorporate some of what they learn about you into your wedding music. For example, my husband and I bonded long ago over a favorite band and they played that band at our entrance, which was special becuase they found the perfect song and it was really fun and original (mainly because it was Metallica- but they made it work!!). I loved them. Best vendor at my wedding! Deserves more than 5 stars!
