Mary is completely awesome in every way!!! We were very lucky to have a lot of great vendors for our wedding, but Mary was one of our favorites.

Mary took engagement, bridal, and wedding photos for us. She could charge a lot more for the great quality of her photos and services, and I felt like we got a really good deal. Since you end up spending quite a bit of time with your photographer, it's important to choose someone you click with. Mary is such a nice, genuine person, and seems to go out of her way to make any bride feel awesome and comfortable.

One of the things I was most impressed with was her promptness. If I sent her an e-mail with a question, she would always respond quickly. She was also very fast getting our photos to us, for all three shoots (I think we got most of them in less than a week, which is AMAZING). By the time we were back from our honeymoon, our photos from the wedding were online and ready to look at. She also provides you a flash drive or cd with all of your photos, giving you the rights to print them anywhere.

We were extremely impressed with the quality of all of our photos, and my family and friends continue to rave about how fantastic they are. Mary has a knack for keeping things simple and quick and has an eye for beautiful shots. At our wedding, she managed to get all of the "formal" photos done before the ceremony, so we were able to go and join the party very quickly. She was also great at staying out of the way during the event while still capturing all of the important moments.

Mary Sledd and her second photographer Julie were very polite and inconspicuous at our wedding reception. Beforehand, Mary Sledd answered all of my emails promptly and was flexible with her contracts. Since we were having two weddings, (one big and public and one small and private), she allowed us to purchase an Engagement package for the small wedding instead of purchasing and entirely new wedding package for that one. All of the pictures looked fantastic. When we got the DVDs for the pics, one of them wouldn't work. I emailed her to let her know and she immediately sent me a new one along with an apology. Our proof album came and somehow all of the pictures printed backwards. I told her about this and she offered our money back or to send another one. Although there were hiccups she handled them quickly and professionally and we are very satisfied customers.

My husband and I hired Mary Sledd as our wedding photographer. (I think he was sold by an amazing photo of Iggy Pop in her portfolio.) Two weeks after the event, we already have all of our photographs and they are gorgeous!! Mary's good-natured personality puts people at ease in front of the camera. I'm impressed by her talent and thankful for her flexibility. She has a wonderful eye for photographs and her style is timeless. I highly recommend hiring her for any event.

Mary is AWESOME! She made my husband and I feel so comfortable from the moment we met her, all the way through our engagement photo session and our wedding. She is fun, creative, energetic and VERY talented. We love our engagement photos and our wedding photos were beautiful - she captured shots of things that we didn't even remember seeing there! She is wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend her to any brides and grooms out there looking for a fun and talented photographer.

I recently had the pleasure of contracting with Mary Sledd of Sledd Photography to shoot my wedding in Austin in May 2010. Mary was exceptionally easy to work with through the entire process, and I felt that she was very reasonably priced (i.e., not too high, not too low) in comparison with other photographers. Mary was punctual to events (she shot the rehearsal dinner, and she and an assistant shot the ceremony and reception); she also delivered the final photos well ahead of the deadline specified in the contract. The photos themselves were fantastic, and were a mix of posed and candid shots that really told the story of our wedding day's events and people. One of the best things about working with Sledd Photography is that the customer is given rights to print all photos, instead of the usual practice of paying an outrageous price for a printed photo package. Since wedding photography is already very expensive, not having to pay a huge markup for printed photos saves a lot of money. Sledd Photography also offers professional wedding albums. Although I do plan to order a few, I cannot yet comment on the price or execution of those since I have not yet ordered. Given what I have already experienced, I cannot imagine that there will be any problem. In addition to what has already been mentioned, Mary did a free engagement picture session with us as part of the wedding photography package that we purchased. The free engagement session let us get comfortable with Mary (and her style) and vice versa. We have received so many compliments from that session as well. There are so many good things to say about Mary!!

I hired Mary to photograph my wedding after great reviews from a friend who got married the summer before. I was planning the wedding from a different city, and really appreciated how easy she was to work with over the phone and by email. The pictures from our event are terrific. I didn't even realize all of the places she was during the ceremony and reception! She caught a lot of very special moments, without interrupting. She was also very fast getting pictures to us, and we loved being able to see a preview online!

Mary did a great job of capturing my wedding day. We wanted someone who would make great photos, but not be too intrusive. Mary did a great job of balancing our wants. Our guests were floored that the photos from the wedding are available for free downloading and very inexpensive ($.20) printing. We could not be happier!

Mary Sledd was wonderful! She and her assistant were on hand at every moment leaving me no room for worry about whether my once-in-a-lifetime moments were being recorded. Her energetic and completely professional demeanor was a great comfort to my family and guests. Part of what I look for in a photographer is their ability to keep everyone feeling comfortable and not "posing". Mary handled the older crowd beautifully with her gentle demeanor and was incredible with the kids, too. The images she presented for us to choose from were totally in line with the scope of work I had discussed with her plus she captured so many more great moments and little details than I had ever thought of including. Absolutely worth every penny!
