I would encourage my friends or family to contact Jennifer Grove to plan any of their weddings. My husband and I instantly got the impression that we could trust Jennifer to plan our long-distance wedding. We saw that she was organized, stylish, and her portfolio spoke for itself.
My husband and I had a great dialogue with Jennifer, she applied our conversations to organize and to custom design the wedding of our dreams. Our consistent communication was what made me feel so at ease with planning from overseas. We felt that we were heard, it was comforting that we were on the same wave length even though we were so far from her office. Jennifer is a great combination of business woman and artistic designer. She’s also a fabulous collaborative partner. We are so happy she was involved in our special day!

Where to begin with how wonderful it was to work with Jennifer and her team at Sky Blue Events?!?
I interviewed several planners over the phone (since we live in San Francisco, but the wedding was in Baltimore), and I instantly knew Jennifer was the right fit after talking to her once. Some planners cost more, some cost less; so I found her proposal very reasonable. We needed full planning services due to the long distance and we needed someone that we could trust to get things done since we could only make a few trips before the wedding. And we only met with Jennifer/SBE maybe 5-6 times total before the wedding, and we could not be more pleased with how our wedding turned out. First, communication with Jennifer was amazing. We did most of our correspondence via email, and Jennifer quickly responded to every email I sent (and sometimes this was many, many times a day). And each time I felt like I was the only client (though I know I wasn't). But we also had our personal website with SBE which tracked our budget, to-dos, vendors, and all of our wedding elements. We left comments and questions for each other which made communication easy. It was such a great resource so that SBE could share photos, proposals, contracts, design visions, etc with us without meeting in person. Second, Jennifer's design vision and skills are amazing. Part of this amazement is how she could talk to us once or twice, and develop a wedding vision that was spot-on to our personalities and styles. We did not have any set theme or specifics to our wedding design, but instead Jennifer interpreted our likes/dislikes, and overall feeling we wanted for our wedding into something real. Within the first month she knew who we were as a couple and as people. Not only did she come up with the design, but she executed it perfectly on the wedding day. As the planning went along we did want some specific elements in our wedding and Jennifer easily incorporated them and ensured they came to fruition. Everything really came together! And you could see her attention to detail in every aspect from the votives, to the candy bar, to the napkin folds. Jennifer also has a great network of vendors that she's worked with before, but also some that she hasn't but thought would be a good fit. For each wedding element, Jennifer compiled several options to fit our budget. She did all the research to come up with only a few for us to decide between. This really made it easy for us since we did not have the time or energy to find the vendors that would fit with us and our personalities. She knew each vendor's strengths/weaknesses and she never pressured us into one particular vendor; she really just tried to give us the options and tools to make the right decision for us. And once we made a decision on a vendor, she also used her connections to negotiate great prices for us. We had a budget from the start and Jennifer was pretty spot-on in the end. There were some increases due to our choices/additions, as well as higher guest count than anticipated, but she always kept our budget in mind and tried to trim in other areas if we went over in another. When we did make trips to Baltimore, often at the last minute, Jennifer made sure to make the most of the short time we had. She squeezed in venue hunting in one 2-day trip, and catering tastings on another 2-day trip, and florists in 1 day. She even managed to get me a trial hair/makeup with the salon I wanted like the day before I needed it. Everything leading up to the wedding could not have gone better. Over the 10 months or so, SBE fulfilled every wedding planning need plus some. Jennifer was patient, understanding and kind, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and the level of service and professionalism was wonderful. At the same time I felt like she was an old friend. She was at our engagement photo shoot, ready to help out with anything we needed. She really took all of the wedding planning stress off of us and all we had to do was make final decisions as she and her team did all of the hard work. And when our wedding day came, Jennifer and SBE did not disappoint in their day-of wedding coordination. There were plenty of obstacles and additional stresses, such as THE RAIN, but Jennifer and Catherine made our wedding dream happen. Jennifer made sure our dream outdoor ceremony happened and hustled to move everything at the last minute and get the vendors all on the same page. She executed our Thai water pouring ceremony perfectly (and her first!). She made sure everything kept on schedule and the entire time I had no idea what time it was; we could just enjoy ourselves and rely on Jennifer/SBE to let us know when to get in the limo, line up, cut cake, make toasts, etc. Everything and everyone seemed to work seamlessly thanks to SBE and their organizing behind the scenes. Our reception in the Carriage House was beautiful - the tables were perfectly arranged and set up. Our candy bar and cupcakes were beautifully displayed. I could really go on and on... but every detail of our wedding was fantastic. Finally, although we primarily worked with the President of SBE, Jennifer, everyone on the staff was amazing and kind. Everyone treated us like we were the most special couple. And I know Jennifer could not have done such a great job without them. Jennifer Grove and Sky Blue Events granted me a wedding that was more amazing than any bride could dream. From the moment I signed the Sky Blue Contract I was in awe. I was in awe of the connections Jennifer had, the organization and thoroughness, the style she possesses and passed onto my day, and the vision she helped me shape that made our wedding the talk of the town.
I giggle to myself when I hear newly engaged girls remark that they don't have enough money in the wedding budget for a planner. The secret that they don't know is that I think that Jennifer saved us more money than she cost. She has contacts in the wedding business from place cards to florists, to dj's, to a barber to cut my husbands hair two days before the wedding. She negotiated all of our contracts and got us unheard of deals for amazing services. Jennifer always prepared me for any meeting I had when interviewing vendors, she armed me with handouts explaining our vision or questions that were so crucial that I would have never thought to ask on my own. Every vendor loves working with her and bent over backward to make sure their service met her qualifications. She coordinated every service, had a back up plan for any hiccup, and even coordinated tipping our vendors on the day of the event. From the beginning Jennifer wanted the style of the wedding to speak to the couple that we were and she had her work cut out for her. She worked tirelessly going to different sites and having us look at different wedding styles until she found the perfect site for us. At every juncture she made sure that everything from the ceremony to the chocolates spoke to who we were. Jennifer, Vivian, and Quinn were the quiet behind the scenes task force that made our wedding amazing. There aren't enough words to thank them for the amazing memories that we have of our wedding that they made happen.

The attention to detail and overall care and attention from the owner of the company was incredible. She was always there when we needed someone as a sounding board. It’s been great using Sky Blue since we were planning an out of town wedding, the team got to know us and instantly had a feel for our taste and style.
The extra services like the private Client page and accessibility to our event options and decisions was priceless....and available 24/7.

Working with Sky Blue Events was wonderful. Jennifer coordinated every aspect of my wedding down to every last detail. Our wedding was beautiful, love was in every single detail of the wedding from the invitations to the flowers to the monogrammed napkins. I could not have asked for more. If you don't hire Sky Blue events for your wedding or any important event I would highly suggest that you go the doctor to get your brain examined!
