It was simply perfect. The service was great, food even better, and the place itself was wonderful. It's very charming inn, that gives you nice cozy feeling if that's what you looking for. We had 50 people and it felt that it was family gathering where you could talk to everybody and still relax and enjoy the food. I had a perfect wedding in Silvermine and I hope you will too.

The Silvermine Tavern was the perfect venue for our Classic Connecticut wedding. It was built in the 1800s and has tons of charm. Hazel Scudder, the Silvermine's event planner, was outstandingly helpful in helping us plan our reception, and she was there every step of the way on the actual day, making sure that things ran smoothly. Every single member of the staff was professional, friendly and helpful. All of our guests commented on how wonderful it was. We had dined at the Silvermine several times before our wedding day, and the food has always been exceptional. The day of the wedding was no different. Plus, the back deck, which looks over a river with a small waterfall was the perfect setting for cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend the Silvermine Tavern to anyone interested in hosting a wedding or other special event.

We were so happy with our wedding and reception location. Hazel was our banquet manager, who was very professional and served us well throughout the planning process. The food is outstanding, not run of the mill wedding food. Several guests have since returned to the site of our wedding, simply because the food and ambiance were so memorable. We felt that all aspects of the wedding were pulled together nicely because Silvermine is so well versed on the needs of the bride and groom and quick to respond to any needs that may come up. We stayed at the Inn the night of our wedding at a private lodge in the back of the restaurant, which was very comfortable and private. This was definitely a wise choice on our part, as we have fond memories of Silvermine, as do our guests.
