JP was really easy to work with and makes a great EmCee but the music selection for "party music" was a little lacking. He did all of the group dances (electric slide, cha cha slide, etc.) together and then moved on to the rest of the music. Our guests didn't seem to mind but I found it awkward. He really did help with the timeline for the night and made all of the announcements that I had asked. At one point he came to talk to me though and his son (who does the DJ'ing, he EmCee's) stopped playing music. There was a bit of an awkward pause at that time. I didn't feel like that was necessary or professional as a DJ.
He did come through in a pinch for me. He didn't provide my ceremony music but at the last minute I needed a wireless mic for our officiant and he provided that free of charge and came early to set it up for us. He did go above and beyond in that way, and always was very quick to communicate.

I appreciate all our clients reviews and the kind words, however, the client mentions that her guests "didn't seem to mind" the music selection is an understatement as they were happy enough that several approached us for business cards and great words about our performance. As a matter of fact, the bride and groom both told us what a great job we did before they left the reception. A DJs job is to read the crowd and play music as necessary to keep them dancing,,, and dance they did!
We actually stopped playing music twice (the 1st time, the bride & groom were not in the room) as the guests came to us and let us know that the dance floor was coming apart. (floor furnished by the hotel). I immediately went to find someone on staff and got someone to come and put the floor back together. The guests were having so much fun, they didn't want to leave the dance floor, so we had to stop playing to get them off the floor while repairs were made. It happened again a little while later while I was speaking to the bride and the DJ again stopped playing while I went to find someone on staff to repair it. Each time took approximately 5 minutes. It is my belief that stopping the music rather than have a guest be injured is more important and I would do the same thing again if ever presented with the same situation.
We are extremely proud of our reputation as professional wedding DJs and MCs and have played for over 170 wedding receptions - no-one has ever used the word "Unprofessional" to describe anything we have ever done.
