We just cannot think of enough good things to say about Dawn, David, their staff, and the facilities and food. From our initial meeting with Dawn, we felt comfortable and confident with our decision to have our reception at Salero. They are organized, efficient, and flexible.
Our guests are still raving about the food and the presentation. During our first meeting, after we were told the per head cost for the food and open bar, we asked how much the venue itself would cost. We are still shocked that everything was included in the per head cost. We feel that this was such a tremendous value for what we received and feel strongly that Salero should charge more because they are worth it!
Take Dawn's recommendations for other vendors! Because of her recommendations, we felt that we had the "A+" Team. Sam Ellis-photography, All Tunes DJ, Daria Horn-cake...all were excellent! The servers and bartenders at Salero are also top notch! The tables were cleared and all guests were tended to quickly.
My only regret is that I didn't get to eat more of the awesome food! The thing that I was most looking forward to at my wedding was to eat everything that we selected because it was all excellent!
Thanks to Dawn, David and the entire staff at Salero, we had a wonderful and memorable wedding reception. I highly recommend Salero to anyone having a wedding or special event. We researched almost every venue and option at the beach before choosing Salero and without a doubt, we would choose Salero again!

We could not have picked a better venue. Dawn and her staff well reached beyond my expectations. The food was great and she was great. All the vendors that she recomended and we used were great as well. She made my wedding perfect.

My wedding reception at Salero's was simply perfect. The food was incredible; we especially loved the appetizers: scallops wrapped in bacon, beef skewers, mini crab cakes and crab/cheddar quesdillas. Also a favorite was the pit ham carving station and seafood pasta. Our guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Dawn was easy to work with and did an outstanding job making sure everyone was taken care of the entire night. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Hopefully one of our friends will get married there so we can go back... or else maybe we'll throw an anniversary party there in a few years :)

I would highlyrecommend and use again this wonderful venue. Dawn was wonderful to work with,highly professional. Everything was done to help keep us stress free. The food was unbelievably delicious, it was the wedding reception that I dreamed of for my only daughter. All of my guests raved about the whole evening. My husband is an ordained minister and we have been to many weddigns over the last 30 years. I think this was the best that I have been to.

In a word...Fantastic! My fiance and I planned our wedding over only a period of about 5 months. From the moment we saw the venue, we were SOLD! Salero provides a beautiful view of the north side of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, and of course many, many miles of ocean--and that's just the beginning. The preferred vendors they recommend on their website ultimately became the backbone of our entire wedding ceremony and reception. We used each and every recommendation they provided, from our Florist to our DJ to our Cake to our photographer. We were MORE than pleased with EACH of our choices! When the weather decided not to cooperate with us and rain & wind from Hurricane Danny decided to visit, the beautiful beach wedding we had planned had to move to "plan B," which was inside Salero--and that change was with only about 20 minutes notice. All ended up just perfectly despite the last minute change-of-plans. When I spilled a little balsamic vinegar from the UNBELIEVABLY delicious hors d' oeuvres on my dress BEFORE our pictures, Dawn was right there to help with club soda for the stain! And, when, in the excitement of the moment, I almost neglected to bustle my dress prior our formal entrance as husband and wife, Dawn was down on the floor helping to get it done as fast as she could. The crowning achievement, however....the food created by Chef David, Dawn's husband, is just AMAZING! Everyone was raving about how good it was, and with good reason! If we had to do it over again, we would not have done anything any differently (except maybe change the weather forcast!) You cannot go wrong with Salero!

Dawn at the Salero was amazing! She answered any question I had asap. She was available for anything that we needed. The food and the view was breathe taking. They ensured that this was the best day of our life. Every detail was perfect!! They show so much passion for what they do. We planned from out of town which was a concern at first. After I meet with Dawn I had no worries I knew it would be 150%. I highly recommend the Salero to anyone who is intrested in getting married in Rehoboth Beach.

I cannot say enough about Salero - what a beautiful location for a reception over-looking the ocean, interior was beautifully decorated from the colors on the walls, wall decor, beachy theme, very clean, just PERFECT! The service was amazing!! Dawn Horton - the owner is just wonderful!! She is very prompt, easy to get along with, quick to respond to emails / phone calls, very accomodating... I have NO complaints about Dawn. Her wait staff and bartender are very friendly, service is great, quick to get you what you need.. The food is EXCEPTIONAL!! Our wedding was about 2 weeks ago and I am still getting emails, comments, phone calls from friends and family just raving about the food. We went with the "Silver Reception" buffet... and its not your "typical" restaurant buffet. The food is to die for... the Hors d'Oeurves are great... we went with the tomato basil bruschetta, crab and smoked cheddar quesadillas (everyone's favorite...I dont even like seafood and thought they were great), fresh fruit & Cheese display, vegetable spring rolls (another favorite) and cruditie display. Buffet Selections - Stuffed chicken with Imported Ham and Gruyere Cheese, Prime Rib carving station (melts in your mouth), Crab Stuffed Flounder, starches - Seasoned Roasted Red Potatoes and Artichoke and Spinach Risotto, Veggies - Fresh Snapped Bean with Shallots and Toasted Almonds
and Steamed Asparagus with hollandaise. Dawn's husband (also owner) is the chef. I didnt have a chance to meet him, but the man can cook!!! :) what an amazing chef!!! Dawn was very helpful through the entire process especially the night of the reception.. she made sure everything went smoothly!! Also, I met with Dawn the Friday prior to the reception to give her all of my decorations, favors, centerpieces, etc... We went over how and where I wanted everything and of course it was all Perfect!!!! Thanks to Salero, we had the most wonderful reception I could ever imagine having!! And our guests have nothing but wonderful things to say as well! I HIGHLY recommend Salero for your wedding reception or private event. If I were ever in need of a reception hall again, I would definetly use Salero again.

Salero was the perfect place for our wedding. The view was amazing, the food was fantastic, and everyone there could not have been more accommodating. We had our ceremony there as well as the reception, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Everything at Salero is awesome - the decor, the view and especially the staff.
From our very first meeting with Dawn Horton, who owns the venue with her husband David (who is the head chef), she was extremely enthusiastic and helpful. Since we were not from the area, Dawn recommended her preferred vendors (AllTuneDJs, Daria's Sweet Art and Sam Ellis Photography) for our daughter's wedding. This made our planning much easier and every vendor was great to work with and excellent at what they do. As far as the actual reception, our guests are still raving about the excellent food and service they received and how much fun they had! Dawn had everything from the cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony on the beach to the last song of the night totally organized and responded to our every need. I would highly recommend Salero to anyone planning an event in DE/MD beach area - they are excellent at what they do.

Salero made my wedding day amazing!! Dawn and David couldn't have been any better to work with - they were very accomodating. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff was fantastic. I am so happy I chose Salero for our special day because I believe it helped make it even more special! Wow, where do I start. From the get go Dawn was and has been beyond exceptional. Shes an absolute hoot! She responds quicker to emails than I would ever imagine considering how busy her and David are. The food is out of this world. All I heard from our guests was how exceptional the food was. When it came to partying, Dawn was there too. I dont know how else to put it, but if you are looking for a reception venue on the beach in Delaware, Saleros is no doubt your best bet, for memories, food, money and a great time for your guests. We are sad our wedding is over, we want to go back and have another one! HA!

We highly recommend Salero to anyone who is getting married. Dawn and David Horton are a pleasure to work with - and Dawn will do anything and everything to make sure that your event is a success. We have gotten rave reviews from our guests about the quality of the food and service! Also, the day of the wedding, Dawn will be at your service to make sure you are treated like royalty. We were never without a drink in our hands, and once, when I spilled red wine on my wedding dress (yikes!) Dawn was there in an instant with club soda to get it out (and she did!). The view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is breathtaking - and the setting at Salero is intimate, yet accomodating. We had 170 guests that fit comfortably. Our wedding experience was everything that it should be---the best day of our lives!! This is due largely in part to Dawn and Dave Horton- owners of Salero. Salero hosted our reception and it was UNBELIEVABLE! The food was delicious, the service was top-notch and the attention to detail was second to none! Dawn Horton ensured that my husband and I remained on schedule- while at the same time keeping a full drink in our hand at all times and bringing us dinner and appetizers or whatever we needed all night long. She's the best! The food selections were unlike any that I've had at any other wedding---WONDERFUL! We initially selected Salero because we attended a friend's wedding that used Salero for their reception and we loved it. Well--- they out did themselves for our wedding! I will always have fantastic memories of our wedding day. I can't wait to attend my next event at Salero!! They are the best! We love you guys!
