Planning our California wedding was frustrating; I was living in Honolulu and had to research all of my vendors on the internet. Needless to say this was difficult because of the time difference and the fact that some businesses don?t check their emails....then I found Robert Valdes. He IMMEDIATLEY called me back with quotes and promised to save the date.
When I finally met Robert he was fun and likeable; he didn't rush the meeting, offered suggestions, LISTENED, and even gave me a CD of him singing (more about this later). His wedding albums were so beautiful I purchased one. A really neat metallic hardcover album?..cool.
The day of he was professional and RELAXED, which made me relaxed. He immediately posted our photos on the internet and mailed us a CD. His photos were so pretty and artsy, yet conservative enough that we could frame them.
Anyways, about the singing. Robert mentioned that he dabbled in some singing and gave me his CD. It was really nice, however I didn?t think to ask him to sing at our wedding. Big mistake. Towards the end of the night he picked up the mike and belted out Journey?s ?Faithfully?. It was so cool. The funny thing was, the next day on our way to the airport I heard it on the radio and smiled. It was definitely one of the obscure things from your wedding day that stick happily in your memory. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn?t have him sing a little more during the evening. Damn.
Thank you Robert, for helping us with our day. I know you see a million weddings, but we will only have our one, and your beautiful pictures will help us remember it forever.

Robert is fun to work with and his pictures are amazing. We feel we received more than our money's worth by going with him.
We get many compliments when we show our pictures. Some of my friends who are already married said if they could go back and do it again, they would use Robert as their photographer. That makes us feel good knowing that we can show our pictures to people and be proud of them.

Wow. Robert did a fantastic job working the light and capturing the day. We are so pleased with the photos and could not have asked for a better photographer. He was professional and elegant with his pictures. We would have given him 6 stars if it was possible!

It was a very pleasant experience having Robert to photograph our wedding. I found Robert on projectwedding.com and everyone gave him great reviews. I booked him without meeting him or checking out his studio, which is only a few miles from my work. But I've never felt uncomfortable working with him. He is a great communicator and answers my emails very quickly. Robert is very professional and easy to work with. He walked us through what shots were the best to get to really capture on my wedding day. And the pictures look amazing. If you are looking for a great photograher with a very reasonable price, Robert is the one.

Robert is an absolutely amazing photographer and an overall creative person. I couldn't believe all of the stuff he is into. Anyway, we hired him after seeing about 6 other photographers. Many others we saw had similar style and quality but were way more expensive. Part of the reason why Robert is cheaper is because he also does video (although we haven't decided whether we want video or not).
I felt at ease the most with Robert because he is really laid back and showed a sincere interest in my wedding. The questions he asked us at our meeting were thoughtful and insightful. By far the easiest vendor I had to work with at my wedding.

Robert is the absolute best of the best. Our photos are very important to us, like most couples. We put alot of time and effort into choosing. The albums he shows at his studio are amazing. He is very easy to talk to and comes across as confident, but not cocky or conceided. The pricing is midrange but you get bang for your buck. For $7k we got two photographers, a wedding album, two parents albums, e-pics, all our original pics on a cd and some other things I can't think of right now.
He is very easy going and laid back on the wedding day. I can only think of one time [duing the family photo session] where he had to take charge but even then he was still very couteous and polite. You hear horror stories about other photographers cracking the whip and making brides cry. You won't get this from Robert.
We received our disc of high quality pictures about a week after the wedding. We're still working on choosing pics for the album and are excited to get that. Overall we are recommending Robert to all our friends who have wedding coming up.

We just got our layout for our wedding album and it looked great! Robert did a fantastic job with the layouts and showcased each photo perfectly. Also, he asked for any suggestions for changes to the layouts, which shows that he does value our opinions as well. We can't wait to see the final product and know that it'll be fantastic!

Every time we show our wedding album we get the same "wow" response from the viewer. Robert really came through for us; he was funny but professional during the shoot, made great suggestions for poses and settings, then really surprised us with on the sly natural shots. In fact, some of our favorite shots of the wedding were not set up. He knows what he's doing, he made us very happy and I am sure he will make you happy as well. Thank you Robert.

My pictures look spectacular and Robert was very easy to deal with. I got my album within two months after the wedding and all my friends who got married were amazed because they are still waiting. I did video at the last minute with Robert. His videographer was mostly in the background. I was surprised at how good the video turned out.
One thing I learned about photography is that you have to really get along with the person and really click with the person. I interviewed one photographic consultant that couldn't even tell me who would be my photographer and I didn't even get to see the photographers work. With Robert, you meet him, you see his work and this makes me feel very comfortable.
One other piece of advice is that you cannot look at too many photographers! See as many as you can! Go to bridal shows! I interviewed 6 photographers and ended up going with Robert. I wasn't too concerned with price but was glad to have saved some money as Robert's prices are a little lower than other photographers of his caliber.

I was very happy that we chose Robert as our wedding photographer. He was very flexible on the day of the wedding so that we have many great pictures but were also able to spend plenty of time with our family and friends. Robert also worked with us to choose the right book to meet our expectations and budget. While Robert was taking pictures. we knew they were going to be amazing...from the use of spectacular light to setting up perfect shadows, Robert is very creative. We also used Robert's company for videography and we couldn't be happier with the results!

Robert provided photo and video for our wedding. From the first day we met Robert, we felt comfortable and worry-free. I tend to be very picky and tedious about things but Robert was able to cater to my unique needs every step of the way. Even as the scope of my initial requests changed to the point where it wasn't part of our original agreement, Robert was not only willing but happy to accommodate us. He did his best to explain the process and to educate us along the way. When the of the wedding came, we had no worries that Robert and his staff would take care of everything...and they did. We love reliving our special day with our album and video.

Robert Valdes Photography was exceptional!! Not only did they arrive prepared and excited to be a part of our day, they were professional and very discreet. I was so happy with the amazing photos capturing the most important day of our life. Our album is beautiful and the video tells the whole story, even things I didn't see!!!
