Good value - hit or miss on the professionalism - not so good on their contracts.

The 1st time I tried to check out Robbins Bros it was about 30-45 minutes before their scheduled closing time (as marked on the door) but the door was locked. As I tried the door several times, the staff inside just stared at me with dumb looks on their faces and then ignored me. When I brought my fiancé in to Robbins brothers for the 1st time, it was a better experience. The girl behind the counter was very gracious and well mannered without seeming snobbish (like the other stores I went to.) She also didn't try to push any sales on us either. She took in every bit of information we gave her regarding what we wanted and never tried to sell us something over our intended budget. I have NEVER seen that in a jewelry store before anywhere. We didn't have the constant barrage of "can I help you" from every staff member in the store which we got from Zales (also appreciated.) Our sales rep wanted to make sure we "Loved" the ring, not just "like" it. She seemed to go through great pains to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and could afford. The ring was fantastic and I was thoroughly impressed with the knowledge and professional attitude of our rep. I put a deposit on the ring and it went on layaway.

Then came the phone call. Several months later I got a call from my rep stating that RB was doing away with their layaway program and I had a week to make a decision. 1. Pay it off within that week. 2. Purchase the ring completely through their credit provider and pay it off with interest. 3. Get all my money back. She didn't lean on me to make any of those choices and that was also appreciated. I was pissed that they wouldn't honor our layaway contract but what are ya gonna do, right?

Before that week was up I received a call from some ignorant hood-rat with horrible grammar from the same RB store (not from customer service) telling me I needed to sign up for their credit line to buy the ring. I repeated over and over again that I would rather just pay it off with cash but he insisted I needed to sign up for their "everybody qualifies" credit. Reminiscent of a used car salesman. After his 2nd harassing phone call the day after, we decided to have them return my original payments and we went to get a ring elsewhere. That's what they get for hiring hood-rats to sell diamonds.

2 days later I got a letter in the mail from RB headquarters notifying me that they were filing bankruptcy and I needed to close out my layaway account. Nice, huh?

We took a picture of the ring to a local jeweler here in Houston ("Silverlust") and the owner had a ring handmade special to match the one in the photo. It ended up looking better than the one from RB. We've been a regular customer there ever since. He even let's us do layaway. Good times!

The Robbins Bros Jewelers were awesome. My experience there was all great from the beginning till the end. The staff there was very helpful they made it very convenient for us. Overall, they a really great jeweler. I would definitely recommend them!

We're extremely happy with our service from Robbins Bros. I love my ring and still get lots of compliments. I only wish they hadn't left Houston :(

My husband and I are extremely happy with the service that we received from Robbins bros. We went there to find my engagement ring after going to a few places closer to home. The people we dealt with at Robbins Bros were great. They weren't pushy, they listened to exactly what we wanted and helped us pick out the perfect ring! Because we were so pleased with Robbins Bros we decided to go back and get both of our wedding bands there too. They have an outstanding collection of rings, so I'm sure you'll find just what you're looking for :)

I've looked around a long time just to see if jewelry stores had a ring like what i thought i wanted, and have never found a thing, so I had low expectations when going in the store. To my surprise, we found a beautiful ring for me and even a just as beautiful ring for my husband. We even shopped elsewhere for a similar ring and could not find one as nice. If you can't find something you like elsewhere, go look there! I'm superpicky and and I am definatly satisfied.

Our wedding bands look stunning! Everyone thought so. I am still hearing rave reviews about how vintage they look and they are certainly one of a kind.

I love Robbins Bros. Jewelers! The entire experience has been a blast from start to finish. The free services that come with their lifetime jewelry policy cannot be beat and the in-house jeweler is very helpful and convenient. We will definitely return for future jewlery purchases!

They are so helpful and have such beautiful rings! The service is wonderful, the clean it free forever,& the diamond has a lifetime warranty. They are a bit pricey but well worth it because they have such great quality diamonds!

My husband and I love the Baybrook location. They are all very considerate and professional and always willing to help. We purchased both wedding bands and my engagement ring here. They were even there to video tape the proposal and helped my husband come up with the idea. The ring selections are beautiful and much better quality than the other jewlry stores. We always use the cleaning services and the employees still remember us almost a year later. We also plan on using their upgrade plan in the future.

We bought both wedding bands here. I thought it was going to be a painful experience but it was the very easy. My husband bought my engagement ring from a diamond dealer. I don't know who that is.

Robbins Brothers gave my fiance and I a horrible experience. After buying my engagement ring there, one of the tiny stones in my ring fell out. Since they have the diamond replacement policy, we took the ring in to have diamond replaced. When we received the ring back, the diamond had been "shoved" into the band. It didn't fit and didn't look right. In addition, there was a chip in the platinum around the diamond that wasn't originally there when we took it in. Rather than saying to us that they had accidentally messed up the ring, they gave it back to us saying nothing at all. When we pointed it out, I had to leave my ring there for over one month. The customer service manager was VERY hard to get a hold of and would not return our calls when we were inquiring about when the ring would be fixed. We wrote an email to corporate and the ring was then fixed shortly thereafter and we received a call from the store manager. He apologized and gave us a gift card to Cheesecake Factory. It was a nice gesture, but money off of wedding bands or a total ring replacement would have been nicer. After finally receiving the ring (fixed this time), we tried calling the manager to ask him a question or two and he NEVER returned our multiple calls. Go somewhere else where they care about you even after you spend the big bucks there.

Robbins Bros. Willowbrook location in Houston, TX is phenomenal. Their store manager is great, very responsive. We had some confusion with the diamond purchased, and he took care of it immediately. The Galleria location was not the same. They were not interested in helping us re-set a diamond once it had already been purchased. Will always return to Willowbrook location.

Fun atmosphere! Very informative. We shopped at the Willowbrook location. The selection is second to none & you get what you pay for & then some. For higher end vendors the prices are the same at every retailer so why not shop at a store that specializes in bridal jewelry, offers a lifetime warranty, insurance, service on site that you can watch while work is being done with a lounge where your husband can watch football & hang out? Love them!

My ring is gorgeous, and the people at Robbins Bros are very professional. When you walk in, they really try to get to know you and your style, so that they can assist you in the best way. They have drinks for you, and you can even pick out your own center stone and view it in detail. They messed up my ring size twice, and we had a major delivery issue with them. The Houston store was wonderful, but the Dallas store was where we had our trouble.

I bought my husbands wedding band and other jewelry for my wedding from Robbins Bros.Their staff helped me pick out a few things and I was really impressed with the quality of their jewelry.I ended up buying a nice pair of earrings and a matching necklace for an amazing low price.I'm very glad I stopped by their shop and I will definitely be buying from them again.

They are amazing! They have a huge selection of wedding bands for men and women and they actually listen to what you want instead of trying to sell you the most expensive thing they carry. I wanted something small and not so flashy and I now have a white gold channel set diamond band (has 10 tiny diamonds in it) and it only cost $375 and my husband got a titanium band for $125.
