My fiancé and I were the first couple to hold our reception in the barn. We were referred to Riverside by another barn venue that could not accommodate our guest list number. When we originally saw the barn eight months before our wedding date it was filled with hay and family antiques. Suzi and Travis (the owners) had a vision for the barn and area around it and promised it would all be done before our wedding. Suzi was so great to work with we took her on her word and booked the venue for an April 2013 wedding. Over the next 8 months we saw the property and barn transform into a one of a kind venue. Suzi and Travis stood by their promise to us and had everything done in time for our wedding. Everything about the venue was beautiful. They offer a flower garden, large patio next to a pond, a long stable gallery to one side of the barn and the inside of the upper barn. The venue also provides for bad weather without having to rent a tent. If needed we could have moved the ceremony to the barn and cocktail hour to the long stable gallery so that the catering staff could reset for the reception.
The day of the wedding Suzi and Travis made everything go as planned without any issues. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue and the uniqueness of it. It rained hard the evening before our wedding, with knowing that rain was a possibility we were able to shift the ceremony and cocktail hour to other locations on the property. We had our ceremony on the patio facing the rock and flower garden and cocktail hour on the long stable gallery. They also have horses on the property and antique car which provided great photo ops for everyone. The location is very private and has a homey but romantic feel to it.
