We were very pleased with RiverCity DJ's at our wedding reception. Wes did a great job of playing exactly what we wanted and was super flexible when we made changes during the reception. He was great at reading the crowd. I would definitely recommend them!

First of all, WES SIMMS, The DJ, DID NOT show up at the reception. WE HAD A SIGNED CONTRACT FROM HIM TO PROVIDE MUSIC at my daughter's reception. When we, meaning Myself the Mother of the Bride and guests arrived at the country club, no one from his company was there. HE was supposed to be there at least an hour before to set up. HE DID NOT HONOR HIS CONTRACT. He sent some lady that worked for him at the last minute but she was NOT a DJ...the groomsmen helped carry in all the equipment. That was ridiculous!!!!He DID NOT provide the correct # of speakers. There were supposed to be 2 in the dance room and 2 in the dining room. She made no announcements about the cake cutting, the 1st dance ( which my daughter didn't get to dance to the song she had chosen because the lady didn't have the PLAYLIST!!!!!!!!, the garter toss or bouquet toss.He was supposed to provide dinner music. He DID NOT. IT was a nightmare to say the least. The dinner was delayed because of HIM. I was on the phone with him after the lady from the country club called him. He made up some "lame excuse" that he wrote down the "Wrong" date on his calendar. Well, I have the contract that we both signed with the "CORRECT"date on it. He even came to the country club 3 weeks before to go over everything. The lady he sent who works for him ... had NO PLAYLIST that my daughter worked very hard and long on. She streamed some of the music off the internet, which sounded TERRIBLE. There was NO MUSIC to announce the wedding party or the BRIDE and GROOM. The list goes on........then Wes the DJ, had the audacity to show up at 11 pm and help her out. He promised the world. He said he'd pay for the wedding, which I knew would NOT happen in a million years. He promised DJ service for me the rest of my life...NO THANKS!!! The damage was done. We met after the wedding to see how he could make amends. He agreed to pay a certain amount to us for "Breach of Contract". Well, he wrote us one check( out of 24 to come) and after I cashed it he stopped payment on it!!! I should have know better. To top it all of, I had to PAY $15 to MY bank because HE stopped payment on a $200 check, how ironic.
I would NOT RECOMMEND him to anyone.

I would highly recommend working with River City Entertainment. Wes Simms was the DJ who attended our wedding. He was great to work with, played great music which our guests enjoyed, and helped us have the time of our lives. He took over as master of ceremonies and kept the party going. He was also very flexible. We had a power outage the week of the wedding which made the venue a little hot. Wes not only ran the DJ equipment on a generator, but he helped us move the dance floor outside at the last minute and kept our guests having so much fun they never knew the venue was out of power. As a bride, it was nice to know that River City Entertainment was going to keep our guests entertained and walk my husband and I through every step of the reception. River City Entertainment is afforable and great to work with.
