This place is now called the CityGate Grille f/k/a RIVA Naperville. There were some glitches on the day off (as with any wedding), however, Sasha, restaurant manager & Neil, the bartender, went over any beyond the call of duty to make up for them. You get soooo much food for your money. The most important things for me on my wedding day was my dress and to make sure my guests were full and that the food was delicious. CityGate Grille kept the food coming all night long. My guest were full just off the appetizers. Bridget was AMAZING! She made generous 'doggie bags' for me and my groom. Most of my guests didn't realize the 'oops' and they were overly impressed by the service. I had paid for the basic 4 hr call package, but my guests were served mixed drinks and they closed the bar during dinner, but I'm positive I got more than my 4 hours worth.

My aunt and uncle were going to try the restaurant out for lunch the day after, much to their sadness that they didn't technically open their door to the public until Monday, July 13.

I would definitely recommend this vendor. However, make sure they are aware of your game-plan if you wanted everything to be perfect. I was a fairly easy going bride so my maid of honor battled for me, but kudos to them for making my event extra-ordinary for switching owner 3 days or so before my wedding.

The catering managers at Riva were exceptional from our first meeting. They were extremely professional and attentive, listening to all of our needs and wants. They accommodated our orginal guest list of 200, and when it decreased to 130, they made things even better. There was only 1 minor menu glitch during our reception, but Carol (the banquet manager) took care of everything and eased our minds. The location itself is also spectacular, with an outdoor patio area and pathway to a pond surrounded by native prairie plants and grasses. We would highly recommend Riva as a banquet facility.
