We love Rachel! My sister chose her as her wedding photographer and after seeing her photos I was convinced! Rachel is very nice and easy going and makes you feel very comfortable which is key to capturing great photos! She was very flexible and made sure to accommodate our every request including a group photo which could be challenging to capture but she did with ease! We can't wait to see our wedding photos and would definitely choose her again!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Rachel Robertson. We booked Rachel for our destination wedding in September 2012 and are so glad we did. The hardest thing about booking a Destination wedding is having to have so much faith in your vendors based only on reviews and recommendations. You don't get to meet them until in our case the day of the wedding and you have to be so trusting that they will deliver what they say they are going to.

Rachel delivered everything she said she would plus so much more. We couldn't have been more happy with our photographs, they were just as beautiful as the ones she posts on her website / blog and captured all the special moments of our big day. Everybody that sees them is so amazed and thinks they are just devine - as do we!!

Rachel is such a joy to work with from compiling the first quotation right through to delivery of your photos well ahead of the timescales she promises in your contract. She is super responsive to emails, helpful on location ideas (which is ideal when you don't really know the area), professional, so much fun and relaxed to work with and has such a creative eye when it comes to what is going to work.

I couldn't be more thankful that we found Rachel as having an excellent photographer was one aspect of our wedding day that I wanted to be perfect and was not willing to compromise on.

My only regret was that we didn't book her for longer or have an engagement shoot so we had more photos we could treasure forever!

My wife and I were more than pleased with the service that Rachel provided. Speaking from the groom's point of view, meeting Rachel was a moment of relief. My bride and I were not able to meet with the photographer before the wedding so we did not know what to expect. My bride spent a lot of time looking for the "right" photographer, and although she started to drive me crazy, when she started telling me about Rachel's site, I knew we'd be going with her. She was prompt in all of our communications and her prices were more than reasonable compared to other photographers.

Rachel was a calming force right before one of the biggest moments of my life. She told me what I had to do, what she would be doing and not to worry. I knew that she had been taking pre-wedding pictures with the bride and knew I'd be hearing great things later. Rachel went above and beyond in respect to her interactions with my bride. She was well aware of our time constraints and did everything in her power to accommodate. She told us exactly how to pose and was more than willing to take ideas and suggestions. She even went out of her way to make sure we got a few perfect pictures on an outrigger canoe.

Our Hawaiian wedding could not have gone better and now we have the perfect pictures to remember them by. Rachel is what the aloha spirit is all about.

Rachel was fantastic to work with and we absolutely love our pictures. She made us feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the day and didn't miss a beat. On top of that her creativeness allowed us to have some gorgeous pictures that we will treasure forever.

I had the fortune of having Rachel for my photographer in my wedding in April 2012. I chose carefully, as my husband and I had a small wedding of 40 people and we wanted the pictures to convey the cozy, intimate feel of the wedding, without making the party look sparse. We also did not want the veneer of a glitzy, polished wedding, with the typical canned shots of the wedding party (we ended up getting some of these anyway, because there were so many people that wanted group shots, but she made these look candid and charming). Rachel was delightful when we met her before the wedding and listened closely to the tone we wanted. On the day of the wedding, she was prompt, courteous, and invisible. Given that the wedding chapel was very small, it would have been very easy for her to be distracting to the wedding service, amidst the background of camera clicks and flash photography, but everyone at the service said that she performed beautifully and unobtrusively. When it came to the wedding party shots, she accomplished these efficiently and in record time (not easy in a small chapel that turns over services every 1.5 hours) and released my long-suffering wedding party to the festivities early. She then took my husband and me to a nearby beach and took many shots that appeared to be taken at multiple sites (so diverse were the backgrounds). And none of the pictures included a crowd full of people (or even a single extra person,despite being on the busy Ala Moana beach; I still don't know how she accomplished this). And the shots that she was able to obtain, well, let me just say that although I felt beautiful on my wedding day, she had the talent to make me even appear more so. At the end of the night, Rachel stayed well past the appointed time with no extra charge. It is no wonder that she is able to retain her wedding clients for their first baby and onwards. Should I ever need a photographer in the future, I would be foolish to not use her services again.

Rachel did our engagement and wedding photos. We enjoyed working with her as she is so easy to work with and she has such a fun-loving personality. We are working together to put our wedding album together and can't wait for the final product! We love our photos and would recommend her to our family and friends!!

Rachel's passion for her craft, beautiful use of natural light and captivating compositions truly make her an amazing artist. Her ability to not only capture amazing memories but to also make her clients feel so comfortable in front of the camera is a true gift. The images she captured for my sweetheart and I will always be very special to me and I wouldn't have had any other photographer capture the day other than her!

Rachel did a great job. She is very fun, creative and enthusiastic while being professional at the same time. She even agreed to come back next summer and shoot a delayed "trash the dress photos" as we were unable to do it after the wedding.

Rachel went above and beyond to help make our wedding great. I've looked at other's wedding photos and our are so much more unique and creative. She had a alot of ideas, however she also asked if there are any shot's or poses that we wanted too.

we chose Rachel because her portfolios automatically stood out to us... they did not look like glorified prom photos, or pictures of people with sticks up their you-know-whats! Rachel takes photos that represent the bride and groom... they are fun, unique, and relaxed, which was such a relief on the crazy wedding day. She was insanely patient and got everything we asked for, even as we were asking for it at the last moment! We did not have an official wedding planner, so Rachel's reminders on the time schedule for some of the shots and events were really helpful, too!

For our short session, we went out surfing in our wedding clothes, and Rachel was gung ho about it! She was patient as we waited for waves that we could ride together, and even while we tried to get our poor dog to stand on a board, too.

Overall, if you are looking for someone who will make you more comfortable and calm during your shoots, is assertive enough to get those pesky lingering family members outta the way, and will go on a little adventure to get the right shots that encompass YOU as a couple, Rachel is your photographer for sure!

I wish I could rate her with a million stars...I so hate being limited to 5, especially when you find someone who is as amazing as Rachel is.

First off, I'm not the bride, I'm the mother of the bride, and I'm also a very addicted scrap-booker, keepsake keeper, etc. For over 15 years I have loved photography as a hobby and have taught others how to preserve and protect their cherished photos, so…. to say I wanted a really good photographer for my ONLY daughter's wedding is sort of an understatement. The pictures were absolutely the most important part of the wedding day to me. They would be the preservation of memories, literally, that she and her husband would have to cherish forever. Having a mom with Alzheimer's, you learn real fast that sometimes photo's are the only link you have to a memory.

So I wanted the best, and Rachel delivered. When I started searching for a photographer, I had more than just someone who could take good pictures in mind . I wanted someone who could "connect" with my daughter & her husband. I knew that if they felt comfortable, every bit of the joy they felt, and the love they shared would come through in the photographs. My daughter was very uncomfortable with being the "center of attention", and her husband by nature is VERY shy until you get to know him. I needed to find just the right person who could make them feel relaxed, like they were with an old friend, especially since they wouldn’t get to meet her until the wedding day. I talked to several photographers whose work I admired, but Rachel had an ease about her that I noticed upon our first conversation. It's as if you've known her for years even though you've never met. Since we don't live in Hawaii, our first "meeting"was on the phone and I knew immediately that this was the right person. Sure I had seen her work on line, but it was her immediate and genuine understanding of what I was looking for that made us connect. She wasn't just saying what I wanted to hear. She's relaxed, fun, & super easy to talk to. She has great ideas, gives good direction, and keeps things running smoothly. She can adapt to changes quickly and does so without getting flustered, which is awesome because no matter how well you plan, at weddings things sometimes don't go the way you thought they would! I reserved her almost 2 years ahead of time! :) (Did I mention that my daughter and I are both a little OCD?)

When we got the pictures back, (which was sooner than we were told) I was ecstatic. There were so many things that I never even knew she got. We allowed extra time between the wedding and the reception so she could take them to an area of the beach that wasn't as crowded and she made wonderful use of some areas of the hotel that I would have never thought about. I didn't want a bunch of posed family shots that no one really cares about a couple of years later…I wanted images that captured the details, the emotion, the moment. Rachel is just so creative and talented and I am absolutely thrilled that I found her, she gave us everything we wanted and more! Like someone else mentioned, if Rachel's already booked on your date…change your date if pictures are important to you! I whole-heartedly recommend Rachel Robertson Photography.

Oh! On a side note, my daughter and I decided to fly to Hawaii a year before the wedding to actually nail down some other things, and since we were there, we decided to see if Rachel could do a boudoir shoot so my daughter could make a book for her future husband. AMAZING, simply amazing is all I can really say about that! Stunning photo's, comfortable and easy shoot, and a book that ended up being something he wants every year! I told my daughter to tell him "then we have to go back to Hawaii every anniversary so Rachel can take the pictures!"

Rachel was an amazing photographer...professional, warm and really caught all of those little moments that we have forever captured because of her.
