Our cake was beautiful and it tasted so good. We received many complients from our guests on how moist the cake was. I have to say that the taste test was the best part, they were ALL so good!

They are great! They are reasonably well priced. The cake is amazing! We had 3 different cakes which we all loved! The people were all nice to work with and kept in contact with us throughout the wedding planning process. The cake was beautiful!

We had our wedding cake consult with Terri and she was so sweet and sincere. We were given an abundance of samples to try in store and to take home (felt like we were robbing the store!) It was hard to pick our flavors because they were all so good! We actually went in expecting to pay more than the quoted price. We ended up with 240 guests at the wedding, but had enough cake for 300. There was barely any cake left over as many of our guests went back for more! (We had a 5 tiered cake with different flavors) The design of the cake was also very beautiful and elegant. We recommended them to my brother and his wife. Would definitely recommend them! (Ps. The pumpkin cake is to die for!)

For our wedding, my husband and I ordered chocolate cupcakes with cooked raspberry fillings and cream cheese frosting. In addition, we had chocolate shavings sprinkled on each cupcake and then topped them off with a maraschino cherry. Since we were getting married in Lutsen, MN, Queen of Cakes helped us package the maraschino cherries separately so they wouldn’t bleed into the cupcakes before the ceremony. We truly appreciate their flexibility and assistance throughout the entire process, even up until the day we picked up the cupcakes. Each staff member we encountered was friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend Queen of Cakes because of their service and the quality of their product. We received so many compliments from our guests about the cupcakes and we enjoyed them so much, we plan on ordering more through Queen of Cakes for future occasions.

Also, they make delicious M&M cookies!

Our cake turned out exactly what I wanted and the flavor of it was amazing. It was such a breeze ordering my cake here and everyone is so nice. I also liked the price, the flavor of the cake was so yummy we felt like we were eating a cake worth twice as much as we paid! We are so happy we picked Queen of Cakes!

The cake was jaw/dropping, beautiful and tasted heavenly. Bride and groom chose 2flavors, pink champagne and red velvet. Our experience with Queen of Cakes was wonderful. They provided an initial tasting that rivaled no others. The final cake tasted as good, if not better, than at tasting. It was wonderful to see the bride and groom gasp at the vision of their cake as they walked in!!

Queen of Cakes was an excellent choice for our wedding cake. The initial design and tasting process was very smooth and went fairly quickly. The cake itself was wonderful. They offered free samples to help us narrow down the choices to the cake we wanted. Guests also raved about the cake. It must have been good since we had very little left and we were supposed to have a lot of cake left. They are a little expensive but we felt worth the price in the end. The cake was gorgeous, they were easy to work with and I felt completely confident that they would deliver a wonderfully designed, tasty cake.

Queen of Cakes of Edina has a great selection of cakes and is very willing to customize an order. We had come in a few times to get exactly what we wanted: a very coffee flavoured filling. On the 3rd try, they nailed it and the cake was a huge success! I especially loved their American-style buttercream frosting. YUM! Cost was on the steep side, but you can save yourself an additional $80 if you pick up the cake yourself.

We chose Queen of Cakes based on a great experience that our friends had with them for their wedding. Our friends' wedding cake/cupcakes were great! At first our experience with them was great...we did a tasting and got an initial price quote in the fall of 2010. We then decided to hold off on officially booking them for a few months, seeing as our wedding was not until May 2011--they assured as that we would still have plenty of time.

We then got in touch with them again in December 2010 and informed them that we were ready to book. We turned in our deposit and signed their make-shift contract in January 2011 (we were not pleased with the lack of professionalism in their contract, hence why I refer to is as make-shift). In the contract, the client is expected to write in the price--so we wrote in the prices we were quoted in the fall of 2010 and again in December 2010. Everything was fine and dandy...until just a few weeks before the wedding, when their reponsiveness slowed down significantly (and I never knew who my Queen of Cakes rep was and/or who to contact...I was always receiving delayed emails from different people). Then, just a few weeks before the wedding they informed us that they have increased their prices effective Jan 1, 2011 (understandable)...but did anyone bother to warn us of this in December 2010 when we said we would be booking soon, or in January 2011 when we booked and had the old prices on our contract, or in the months leading up to our wedding?? NO! My wedding coordinator and I tried to fight it, but they would not budge. Beyond that, our wedding cake/cupcakes were good. I cannot comment on their customer service beyond the aforementioned incident, because my amazing wedding coordinator took over communication with them from that point on (however, she too was VERY un-impressed with them as a business and vowed to never refer them to any future clients).

I understand that it is a business and that prices change, but most other businesses and vendors I have worked with at least have the decency to give you a heads-up that their prices are going to be changing and will encourage you to book prior to that. Perhaps if that had a better deposit/contract process, the pricing would have been more clear to both parties sooner than just a few weeks before the wedding.

Moral of the story? I would not (and will not) recommend Queen of Cakes to those looking for a wedding baker. Sure, their cakes may be good and fine to use for a birthday party...but when in comes to a big event, their customer service skills as lacking.

I have used Queen Of Cakes for several cakes over the years and have always been impressed with the flavor of the cakes and the service I received. Terri is a talented baker and her staff was easy to work with, patient when our order changed, and they all worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. So pleased with them!

Working with Terri at Queen of Cakes was WONDERFUL! She was very helpful with ideas and let us try every different flavor of cake they make. The prices were lower than other shops I called around. And this is a family-owned business, which I much prefer to work with! The end result was fantastic and delicious! I received numerous comments at the wedding. I will recommend them to everyone and plan on using them again in the future!
