Alicia in the Bakery at Publix in Brentwood (Creekside Xing) was very rude and disappointing. I requested pearl sprinkles on the cupcakes and she informed me that she would order them. When I got there to pick them up the day of, they didn't have the sprinkles and she told me at that time she wasn't able to get them. It would have been nice if she had called to let me know. I also told her the size of the top tier on our cupcake stand for the small cake she made to go on top. She let me know that she would have to put it on something and the cardboard piece she put it on was bigger than the tier and hanging off. A friend was able to cut it to make it fit. She made several snotty remarks when I spoke with her on the phone. I considered telling her to forget it and I would find someone else to do my cupcakes. I wish I had now. I would not recommend her to anyone else.

I purchased two cakes from Publix: a 3 tiered traditional wedding cake and a sheet cake for the grooms cake. Both cakes were delicious and very reasonably priced. I would refer to friend.

Casey is awesome! She helped my vision for our flowers come to fruition exactly. She even arranged and delivered our flowers when she was sick because she wanted to make sure it was done right.
I couldn't have asked for more - especially considering the affordable price.

I wholeheartedly love to eat Publix cake, but they really let us down on our wedding day. We'd ordered and paid for our cake about 2 months in advance. The afternoon before the wedding, I called the bakery to confirm our delivery time and give additional instructions about who to contact and where to go at our reception venue. The person I spoke with affirmed that everything was ready to go. On the day of our wedding, a friend who was already at the reception venue setting up called just after the ceremony had ended. Our cake had never been delivered. This was about 3 hours after it should have arrived. When they called Publix to find out where the cake was, they were informed that it had never been made. Apparently our order had never been entered into the computer and the form was lost in a pile of paper. They had someone deliver a stock cake that they had at the store, but it was seriously the ugliest, flowered, bright pink cake I've ever seen. Luckily, they had a much more acceptable cake in the van as well when my MOH vetoed the first replacement. I understand that things happen but no one from Publix ever called to appologize to us, the CLIENT, or anything. Two weeks later, when we returned from our honeymoon, we met with the Manager at the store. Our money still hadn't even been refunded. She was appologetic and tried to make it right. We were offered a gift card for the amount we had originally spent, which I appreciated, but we were still pretty dissapointed in the customer service, as this particular manager was not a very good listener and never seemed to understand exactly what had taken place. All in all, it is what it is. I'm not saying don't use Publix because their cakes are so good and very affordable and I know others who've had a much more positive experience...but please stay on top of them about your order. I learned later from a friend who used to work for them that most cakes are made first thing in the morning and after the bakers go home, you're out of luck. It wouldn't hurt to call the morning of your wedding just to verify that everything is on track!

After tasting every cake in the Nashville area we went with Publix. Great value and they have the greatest cake ever. The buttercream is yummy and not that Crisco icing. They are easy to deal with, just make sure and tell them exactly what you want.
The chocolate and raspberry is to die for!!

Publix provided an amazing cake for my wedding that my guests are still raving about (the vanilla cream cake)! The baker I worked with helped design a cake that would be suitable for my wedding and provided honest advice about cake options.

Our wedding cake was a exquisite vanilla cake that was decorated with fresh flowers.We had to book it 4 weeks in advance and it was big enough that we had enough for our guests and the help.It was very easy to show the designer what I wanted and they made me a beautiful and delicious cake.

I ordered from many depts at this Publix. It was wonderful. They were very accomodating. It was quality food on a tight budget.

The cake Publix made for us was not to expensive but it was very fitting for our wedding and we managed to satisfy everybody's sweet tooth.We went with the strawberry-vanilla cake that had the banana walnut filling.It was what we decided on after having tasted many of their fine cakes at the tasting.It was very easy to work with Publix they delivered our cake and had a great staff to work with.
