Cake was delicious and looked beautiful!

I ordered their famous Burnt Almond Torte Cake as my wedding cake (3 round tiers, then a sheet cake in the back to feed the rest, much cheaper) and ALL of my guests RAVED about it! Everyone just loved it. I am not a regular cake kind of girl so this was the best. I even gave them gluten-free cake mix and they baked the top tier gluten-free for my husband and his family. We also ordered the 12 dozen cookie platter and guests seemed to really enjoy that as well.

Everyone at the wedding agreed that our cake and cookies were amazing thanks to Prantl's. The cake from here was our favorite by far and the delivery process was very easy even though our venue was over 60 miles away from the bakery. The level of service and professionalism from the staff could have been much better in making the ordering and decision making processes stress-free. It was difficult to visualize what our cake would look like without pictures or help from staff. Also, upon stopping in a few weeks before the wedding to finalize everything, I was told that I would need more cake than what I had originally ordered after telling the first person how many guests I was going to have - I was glad I stopped in that day, or we wouldn't have had cake for everyone!

I LOVED my baked almond tort wedding cake! it was delicious and received rave reviews. It also went with our color scheme and theme perfectly with its modern yet rustic look. I had brown ribbon wrapping it with succulents from my FLORIST who also rocked ( BCP) .

My husband and I chose to work with Prantl's, in part because their services were included in our catering contract (we had 3 different bakeries from which to choose) but mostly because we LOVE Prantl's baked goods! Our exchanges with Prantl's were both pleasant and efficient; we took in pictures to our initial meeting of what we wanted our cake to look like, ate some delicious cake, and talked about the details we wanted. Additionally, we wanted a red velvet wedding cake, but they weren't sure if cream cheese frosting would work on the outside of the cake, so they tested it for us and let us know how it looked/held up before we had to make any final decisions. Prantl's coordinated with our venue, Phipps, to arrange all of the details, so we hardly even had to think about the cake! Our guests also raved about how delicious our red velvet cake was! Overall, Prantl's was very pleasant and easy to work with, and I would definitely recommend them!

The cake was gorgeous and delicious!! People said the best cake they ever had :D and the staff (especially Lauren) was very helpful! We had the hidden Almond Torte cake...and the groomscake was the Tiramisu--both delicious!

Three words: burnt almond tort! I don't really even like cake and I'm obsessed. Best in the whole city (I actually don't even like BAT from other bakeries)- we live out of state now and I order it to be shipped to us for special occasions just for a taste of home! Wedding cake was beautiful and so many compliments. I try to share the gem of Prantl's with everyone I know in the 'burgh!!!

I ordered two cakes from Prantl's--a wedding cake and a surprise groom's cake. Both turned out fabulous. I wanted a very specific design on my wedding cake, and Prantl's was the first bakery that didn't tell me they would charge me an arm and a leg to do it. They were happy to do it, and it came out beautiful. As for the groom's cake, the owner of the bakery spent time on the phone with me going over ideas for the perfect cake. It was sweet of her to help me brainstorm. In the end, they made an awesome cake (it had the Pittsburgh skyline around the side and the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates logos on top with the words "Pittsburgh Pride"). But top marks aren't awarded simply for decoration. They tasted amazing, too.

It was a bit hectic getting in to talk to someone- they don't really make appointments, so we tried to find a time when they wouldn't be too busy, but it's Prantl's, so they're pretty much always busy from what I can tell. But they hooked us up with some cakes to try- we went with the Burnt Almond Torte, which was by far our favorite. They're open to do just about anything- my husband wanted scroll on the sides to match the leaves on our invitations, so he gave them a sample and they made it happen. There was really no hassle involved; we got married at Phipps and they knew just where to go and what to do, so we just said "Hey, we want this cake" and didn't have to think about it after that.

I was so excited to introduce my out of town guest to the Pittsburgh tradition of burnt almond torte and Prantl's has the best! It was difficult to get ahold of the associate responsible for wedding cakes at times and I had to plead a little to have them add strawberries but my guests raved about it. I suggest getting a small cake of another options for those with nut allergies.

Absolutely perfect! We went with the famous burnt almond torte. It was 3 tiers with the top and bottom covered in almonds and the middle tier smooth white. It looked gorgeous with just a few flowers as accents and it tasted amazing!
We worked with Annette Mich - she was great. Very professional and very easy to work with. We coordinated via email and phone for the most part and she was extremely prompt in her response. She gave a few suggestions such as a shimmery finish for the middle tier but she didn't push anything else which was really nice. I knew exactly what I wanted and I was very happy with the results!

We ordered the "torte in disguise" for our wedding cake. I brought in a picture of what I would like the cake to look like and they did it to a "T!" They had even asked me to come in prior to the wedding to OK some of the icing decorations. I really appreciated the care and effort they put into making such a beautiful and delicious cake.

We got the burnt almond torte for our wedding (small two-tiered round cake to cut and larger sheet cake) and it was delicious! Our wedding was on a Sunday and Prantl's was able to deliver it to our venue that morning. Our guests loved the cake and we even have a little left over that we can eat on our first anniversary! I'd recommend Prantl's to anyone. Great service, great cake.

We had a great experience with Prantl's making our wedding cake and would recommend them without hesitation. We had a simple 2 - tiered burnt almont torte and a small torte for each table in lieu of a large sheet cake. Great, laid-back customer service with no problems.

My husband and I have always loved Prantl's burnt almond torte cake! We were very excited to have it as our wedding cake. It was perfect, of course, and our guests ate it all (and we expected to have left-overs based upon how much we ordered)! Our guests raved about how much they liked it. It was wonderful to work with Prantl's and have such a great cake!
