We ordered our flowers from here for our wedding day and they were all amazing! A very economical way to go if you (or someone you know) is willing to create your bouquets, centerpieces, etc. on your wedding day. I visited in advance and talked to them about what fllowers I liked and what might be available in November - they were great help and their pricing is awesome.

When I went to several floral designers and floral shops, the quotes I received were astronomical. So my fiance and I decided that we would do the flowers ourselves - or should I say, I would do them! I met with David who was super helpful and gave me great ideas and background on flowers and my options based on the time of year I wa sgetting married. I ordered two weeks in advance and my order was available on time and the flowers were incredibly fresh! Doing your own centerpieces and bouquest etc takes alot of time and energy. But David helped me defina a concept and buying wholesale is EASY on the pockets! After flowers and supplies I spent about $500 on all the floral needs for my wedding! This was a third of the lowest quote I got! I will never go to a florist again! Potomac Floral Wholesale will get my money!

I had a small wedding (32 people) and decided to do the flowers myself after all the florists I talked to had ridiculous minimums/wanted way too much money ($170 for my bouquet?! Really?! I do not think so).

I went up to Potomac Floral a few weeks before the wedding to check it out and ask some questions--David, the sales manager, was very helpful.

We decided against doing an order ahead of time, since I was pretty flexible about what flowers we used and wanted to see what I was buying. We drove up the day before the wedding, put a dolly outside the cold room, and started pulling flowers. For $350 we got about 250 stems of roses, some filler flowers, and some beautiful tiny white buds for my bouquet (they were the most expensive thing we bought), as well as some flower food and shears for cutting the stems. We did 10 vases, 5 bouts and corsages, my bouquet, and flowers for the cake--they were all gorgeous. Everything held up great and smelled wonderful.

I don't know how it would work if you are really particular about what flowers you want, or if you have a really specific "vision," but if you're on a budget and have some willing hands to help, buying from Potomac and DIY-ing it can work out great.

Potomac provided my wedding with beautiful calla lilies at an amazing price. While shipping may seem expensive, the price and quality of their flowers cannot be beat!

We did so well with these flowers and the staff was on top of the order. THere were a few changes they had to make due to not having the exact flowers that we ordered but they substituted wonderfully and made it stress free. This is the BEST value for your money if you know how to make your own bouquets and table arrangements. One of the great things is that you can order anywhere in the U.S. due to being an ONLINE service.

While this isn't technically a FLORIST, this is a place for frugally minded brides to go and get killer deal on gorgeous fresh flowers. This is a floral wholesaler that has a walk-up warehouse where you can walk thru refrigerator rooms filled with every type of flower, plant and green imaginable and if you don't see it they can order it for you, no matter how small or random the order. They don't usually get stuff that is way out of season to keep costs low. I spent around $375 for a massive bridal bouquet of giant peonies, four bridesmaid bouquets of beautiful spray roses with calla grass to trim all the bouquets and a few bags of fresh rose petals for the flower girls. Seriously, putting a little leg work in the morning of or the night before the wedding to tie together some bouquets with the help of tons of youtube tutorials, can result in MASSIVE savings.

I'm the mother of the bride, and decided to do all the wedding arrangements myself to save money. I actually mail-ordered these flowers over the internet! I was a bit nervous about that, but couldn't find any reasonable priced vendors in my area that would provide wholesale flowers, even tho' I have a vendor's license. The flowers arrived exactly on time, and when I opened the boxes, they were so fresh and beautiful it took my breath away! The customer service was also amazing--even tho' I made changes to the order 3 times, they never complained, and were always very quick in responding to my emails. Everyone at the wedding was raving about how beautiful the flowers were!

Our flowers were beautiful and we received excellent service from staff. This wholesaler is the best value for price (especially for calla lillies).

I have mixed feelings about my review for Potomac Floral, because, although our experience with them was an absolute DISASTER, I am guessing that it was probably not the fault of the woman we worked with, who was very nice, and (I hope) truly tried to solve our problems. When we arrived to pick up our order (a 2 hour round-trip drive, I might add), which we had placed only two weeks before, we were given the run-around for almost a full hour before they finally admitted that they never put together our order.
We were promised that a replacement order would be delivered directly to friends of ours that afternoon, but, as the afternoon came and went, no flowers. After many, MANY frustrating and stressful phone calls, our order finally arrived, many, MANY hours late, but just in the nick of time for our wedding. As a result, I spent the night and the next morning (the day of the wedding) frantically putting together the bouquets, centerpieces, and boutenierres that I was supposed to have made the day before. It ruined the morning of my wedding and put me WAY off track for time.
The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and I believe that the woman we worked with tried to do her best to fix the situation, but it must have been difficult for her based on what seemed to be the total disorganization of the company and lack of ANY communication. Consequently, I cannot recommend Potomac Floral Wholesale.

Decided to DIY the flowers. This place had the cheapest flower hand down. Place is confusing and messy but worth it for the value.

I decided to do my own flowers but purchased them from Potomac Floral after seeing their prices. It was very easy to order and when we picked the flowers up a few days before my wedding, they were gorgeous. The flowers weren't fully bloomed yet which was great since they opened right up on the day of the wedding. Doing it this way cost me a third of the price of going to an actual florist. Everyone thought our flowers were gorgeous and didn't believe us when we said we did them ourselves!

This wholesaler offered many different flowers and in so many colors. We were able to go into the cooler and pick out the exact flowers we wanted. We matched the wedding colors perfectly! It was a fantastic bargain. We made 5 bouquets for under $100.

Potomac Floral was great. I ordered my flowers wholesale from them and then put together the bouquets and arrangements the day before my wedding with the help of my Mom and bridal party. It was so much fun and the quality of the flowers was excellent -- exactly what I had hoped for. The white roses I ordered were just a bit past their prime, but everything else was outstanding.
