Jim was fantastic throughout my entire wedding process. He was responsive, professional and friendly; which was particularly helpful during a pandemic wedding. On the night of our wedding, Jim kept all of the events moving and the party going! Definitely recommend!! -

We hired Platinum Occasions for our wedding this past weekend. Being a postponed Covid wedding, I have to note how understanding and willing to work with us Jim was from the very beginning. The process was extremely easy, from communicating our timeline, choosing songs, and making sure that announcements were made on time. Initially we thought our families and friends weren’t much of the dancing type, but boy were we wrong!! Jim got everyone up and shackling what their mommas gave them! Our guests loved him so much they kept going up to talk to him and to give him hugs! Jim had an incredible sense of the crowd’s tone, was extremely professional, and we can’t be any happier with how the night went. My husband and I highly, highly recommend Platinum Occasions. You will not go wrong! Thank you for elevating your special day Jim!! -

Jim was absolutely incredible. There really aren’t enough words to describe how professional, reassuring, talented, and insanely fun of a guy that Jim is. He read the crowd so well and played songs that got EVERYONE, even our 90 year old grandmas, out onto the dance floor at some point in the night. When he wasn’t DJing, he was tearing it up on the dance floor and making our guests crack up, or he was capturing videos of super special moments that our videographer missed. There were absolutely no blips throughout the entire day and every song was played with the most perfect timing, especially our recessional song which I was super picky about! Jim had it all under control. I will cherish how special Jim made our day for the rest of my life! -

Jim was a fantastic DJ for our wedding. He read the crowd and kept every dancing the whole time which is all I wanted. He stuck with us through 3 reschedules of our Covid wedding, made sure he had the specific version of every song we requested be played & timed out our ceremony music exactly as we wanted it. I couldn’t be happier! I would highly recommend! -

Jim was fantastic! He did all of our song requests, made the transitions smooth, and kept the vibe of the party by really reading the crowd. He was so fun and attentive. We were so glad he was able to do our wedding and would definitely recommend him! -

Jim Mast is a Godsend. His talent, professionalism, intuition, along with his cool, calm, collected, personality saved our wedding day on multiple accounts.
We were on a tight budget and needed someone who we could afford and trust. Out of all of the DJs we had spoken to, he was the most down to earth, experienced and value oriented.
He had been so flexible and understanding that he did not even charge us the additional travel fee when our date and location had to change during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many DJs over charge and under deliver. That is not the case with Jim. His work is priceless.
At first sight, Jim pleasantly surprised us by our bridal room to get us ready four our announcement line up. His friendly smile and assertiveness reassured us that we were in good hands. He spoke clearly, announced even our foreign names correctly, and always seemed ten steps ahead.
When it was time for our blessing, and the priest was missing, Jim jumped right in and improvised for us with a prayer. He miraculously incorporated extra speeches, and conflicting requests with grace.
Jim is extremely talented, does his job very well and truly cares about his work and his clients. He did everything and anything we needed, and proved to be our rock throughout the wedding process. He did an amazing job with our first dance and was able to perfectly mix some very unique songs together. Every special moment we had chosen songs for was a success. Jim knows how to feel the crowd and play which songs when, and makes sure to listen to what you want and need for your day.
He has fun lights and an amazing sound system and does a fantastic job of directing the guests attention to where it may be needed.
We promise you, you will not go wrong booking Jim. We have been to many weddings, parties, clubs, concerts etc, and we can firmly attest, that he truly has been the best DJ we have encountered. We were so so blessed to have had Jim as our DJ. -

Jim DJ’d for my wedding with over 240+ people. Ages ranging from 3-93 years old, he had EVERY guest engaged and dancing the entire night. Our dance floor was not empty a single second of the night. I’ve had numerous guests comment on how great the music and the selection was. I cannot thank him enough!!!!! He absolutely made my wedding night!! -

I'm going to save all of you Chicago brides time - if he is available for your date, HIRE JIM AS YOUR DJ.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, said that they have never been to a wedding where everyone was on the dance floor the whole night and had that much fun. And that was all thanks to Jim. He was an excellent communicator and did everything to prep in advance to ensure the night would go perfectly - which it did! He is incredibly talented and I could not recommend anyone more highly. -
