Sarah was okay sometimes up until the day of the wedding. She responded in an acceptable amount of time to any questions I had. However, she never took initiative to actually plan anything. Whatever I needed done I had to ask her to do. I was keeping her on track more than she was me. And when she said she could print off the programs for us I thought she meant on a nice quality printer, not the one in her home (I could have done that myself). She came over to my mom's to help with favors but by that time we had most of them done. She never got in contact with anyone but me to get anything done.
The day of the wedding she was much to busy taking her own pictures for her website and had to be told to light the candles for the ceremony. She didn't make sure people were doing what they needed to. She told the groomsmen they couldn't leave the room. I had told her I didn't want my husband seeing me but the groomsmen were supposed to be handing out programs! I had to get my bridesmaids, mother and mother in law to go make sure everything was being done. My photographer and her assistant also helped to take charge of the schedule and make sure we were on time.
At the reception she went missing and didn't make sure our drinks and snacks were waiting when we got there. She once again was to busy taking her own pictures of everything. She didn't put our bubbles out on each place setting (they ended up getting lost) and didn't put our extra favors on the end of the gift table for people to take. She was also supposed to stay the whole time to make sure everything ran okay and to take the tuxes so we wouldn't have to worry about taking them back the next day, but she left at 9:30 (our reception lasted until midnight). At that point I was completely done with her and just wanted to enjoy myself. She kept pestering us for pictures when we would be trying to go talk to our guests. Thank goodness our DJ and her assistant ended up taking control of the reception and making sure we did everything we wanted on our schedule.
Then the word got to myself and my husband, after she left, that she was going around saying how she did such a good job but we never let her do anything and it was the easiest money she made. I would honestly just plan with my mother and mother in law next time because that is what we really ended up doing anyway since she needed her hand held every step of the way.
I think she needs to apprentice with an actual planner (she made it seem like she had done tons of events but apparently not) or go to school for it. Then she can see what a real planner will do. I pretty much just gave up on her being able to do anything by herself.

I do not believe that this review portrayed me very well. I did as much as I could for Allison and her husband. Before the wedding, I checked in almost every day to see if there was anything she needed help with, and to make sure she had all her vendors in line. If there was something, I was very prompt at getting an answer, including getting her in contact with Cakertainment, my cake vendor of choice. At the wedding, I was informed that someone else was going to light the candles, and when I found out that they weren't, I promptly went and lit them. As for not allowing the groomsmen to leave the room, Allison told me to make sure they were ALL in the room before she would go back into the building. Also the day of the wedding the florists did not have the correct vases for the tables, Allison called me frantically about it, and I immediately got everything under control. At the wedding I was very prompt with getting everything in order, including trying to find seating for people that were mixed up on the seating chart, which I did not make. I also ran back and forth many times to see if there was anything else she needed. I never went missing. I was always near them, or close enough to see if they needed any help. I made sure they always had a glass full of drink, and checked numerous times to see if there was anything else needed. As for the bubbles, I was told by the reception hall that they were not to blow them in the hall. The lady in charge took them and put them in a closet. I informed Allison of this, and she said she didn't care, that it was fine. Later on, she could not find her bubbles. I also did place the extra favors on the cake table, because they were candy, and I asked her if this was OK. She said yes. I did leave after I made sure she and her husband were both well taken care of and all the main events had taken place. I contacted her the next day to pick up the tux's that needed to be returned, and she informed me that she did not need me to do it anymore. I feel I did everything I could to make her day special, and I am very upset that she does not agree.
