Planned to Perfection made my wedding day stress free. Christine and her team at Planned to Perfection allowed my husband and I to truly enjoy our wedding planning process. As a law student, my schedule was very difficult. However, Christine was able to work with our busy schedules and arrange all of our appointments with vendors. Our wedding party was very large, so Christine's help with the rehearsal as well as the day of the wedding was key to having a smooth wedding. Her day of coordination was amazing! I had a sense of calm all day knowing that Christine was taking care of all the details. If you have a busy schedule or just want the expertise of a RI wedding planner, Planned to Perfection is for you. She has a great working relationship with many vendors in the area and is an incredible source of wedding expertise.

Planned to Perfection to say the least needs a new name. Christine Clark and her referrals left much to be desired. My wedding budget was exceeded because I trusted her but to be honest, the finished product was mediocre and very generic.

Please stay away from this event planner at all costs if you are a bride and groom who need lots of direction.

Christine Clark did a great job in picking beautiful venues but her creativity is non existent.

I really hate to do this but I cannot recommend my wedding planner. To be honest, I think with Katie (my venue manager), Rev. Mary Powers (my officiant), and a catering representative other than the one I had, I wouldn't have needed a planner at all. True, she did help me find my venue (that was over in week one) but other than that, I can't say she did much for the money I paid.

My biggest beef with her was that she referred me to my florist never telling me that she was about to open an office with him in Newport. To me, this was a complete conflict of interest. It was like hiring a real estate agent who was working for both the buyer and the seller simultaneously. How on earth could I count on her to be safeguarding my interests when she worked so closely with him and cared about his success? I thought it was shady that she didn't tell me about it before I signed and when I nearly fired him a month before the wedding....I didn't trust her opinions or advice at all regarding the matter.

Other than that, I had my timeline put together and distributed to my vendors a week before she gave me hers...which was a generic timeline that applied to everyone and was vague. I had made timelines specific to each vendor clearly stating where they needed to be and when so as to avoid confusion.

I don't discredit wedding planners in general but I felt that overall mine was overextending herself with too many clients and didnt have time for my wedding. The 3 days before my wedding I never heard from her at all and thoughout the process I was constantly hearing about the conference she was at in Atlanta or her new baby nephew she was visiting when I would email her with a question. Personality wise I knew we were a bad fit from the start. She told me she had done green weddings before but I got the feeling by month two of the planning that that was a gross exaggeration at best. She showed little interest in the wedding and I certainly couldnt be excited about it with her.

My advice....make sure you "hit it off" in the first meeting and don't sign anything until your clear about what your WP will do for you.

I planned my whole wedding and paid her $2000 plus tip for attending it.

Christine had so many great ideas, that she made planning absolutely STRESS-FREE!! She had all our appointments set within a week, and she negotiated the socks off each vendor! Our wedding day was SPECTACULAR, because she took care of EVERYTHING! We are forever indebted to her for making our wedding day so incredibly magical!
