Peggy's was a great place to get a wedding dress. They helped me find a great dress that I loved. The seamstress there was by far the best one I have ever been to. Very kind, professional, and talented. Had 3 fittings to make sure everything was perfect.

Many folks would agree that the associate you work with at a bridal shop can make or break your experience. Marilyn at Peggy's Bridal is fantastic! I was looking for a very alternative wedding dress (it was navy blue!) and Marilyn made me feel just as important as every other bride... which had not been my experience elsewhere. The shop was incredibly flexible with scheduling and made terrific recommendations when it came to shoes and hair. Loved my experience with Marilyn.

Peggy's has the best dresses for the price and the staff was great until my alterations. I had to have 5 fittings because the dress came in so large and the hook and eye popped during my final fitting. I was assured that it would be reinforced for my actual wedding day. Sadly, it popped again on my wedding day, 30 minutes before I had to be at the Church. Thank goodness my Mom could sew or I don't know what I would have done!!! I called Peggy's and calmly explained what happened and that I was very upset, and indicated that I would appreciate some type of refund on my alterations. I got no response from the owner/manager, not even a phone call or note to apologize.

I found the exact dress that I was looking for at Peggy's. It was extremely reasonably priced. However the fittings were very frustrating. Nothing we had marked to be adjusted was done right the first time. For the same things we marked in the first fitting we were still altering at the last fitting which happened to be a fourth fitting. It was not a difficult dress, very simple in fact, but everything seemed to be so complicated. And we had to be the ones to point out what needed to be fixed, as obvious as they were. If I hadn't said anything they would have let me walk out with a poorly altered dress that looked sloppy. It's a good thing we said something as many times as we did. My suggestion: buy your dress at Peggy's and have it altered somewhere else.

I highly recommend Peggy's Bridal. I liked numerous things about this shop. I liked that the dresses are out in the open and not in bags. I liked the personal service and how they give their honest opinions. I liked that they have numerous fittings to ensure that your bridal gown fits perfect. I loved my wedding gown and ended up getting my bridesmaids dresses also at Peggy's. They did a great job with everything!

It is impossible to compare Peggy's Bridal to other locations like David's Bridal. Peggy's Bridal is in a league of its own. At David's Bridal it was all about selling dresses to the masses. I felt like cattle being herded! It was awful. At Peggy's Bridal there was no pressure! It was so much more personal and private. At David's Bridal they shove you into a small, dark dressing room with NO MIRROR! In order to see yourself in the dress you had to come out of the dressing room and stand next to thirty other brides and their families. Peggy's Bridal has giant changing areas that are private! There are giant mirrors in the changing area so you never have to let anyone see you in a dress that isn't for you. If you want to actually feel like a bride and not like cattle, then Peggy's Bridal is for you!

Their garments are very nice but they are difficult about alterations and hard to get appointments with.

I loved Peggy's Bridal, especially in comparison to a lot of other shops that are out there. This boutique was so fresh and clean feeling, very up-to-date. It was a last minute stop we made there, since we were coming from Buffalo, and I didnt have an appointment, but they were able to take my anyways. I chose and bought a dress that day, I couldn't believe we randomly stopped there, and I found my dress. Problem is... when it arrived 6 months later, it was not exactly like the one I tried on. The stitching/thread color on the dress was different than what was on the rack. I hated the dress, and did not want it. The sales woman could read my expression, and as soon as they saw the dress from the rack up to my actual dress, they knew something was not right. After phone calls to the designers, they determined that the dye lot for the threadding must have changed. I decided not to take that dress and pick something else, all 5 weeks before my wedding date! They let me pick whatever I wanted, and I ended up choosing a beautiful Enzoani gown which was more expensive, but since it was a newer gown off of the rack, they gave it to me for half of the difference between the two dresses. They were so helpful throughout the process, and out of all of the bridal shops I ever visited, this was by far my favorite.

This review is a mixed review because I used Peggy's bridal to purchase my wedding gown and also to rent the tux's. I went to 3 other bridal places in the Rochester area, and they either had not much of a selection, or were considerably overpriced. At Peggy's bridal they had a great selection, and carried 2 lines I really liked, Paloma Blanca, and Pronovias. I was so happy with my dress, that I convinced my fiance to use Peggy's for his and his groomsmen tuxedo rentals. Peggy's staff had claimed that they would oversee everything for the tux's including making sure all the necessary pieces that we had selected for the tux's were on time, and that they would check everything for any quality issues and press them, etc. I highly recommend Peggy's Bridal for a wedding dress, but I WOULD not recommend them for tux's. When my fiance went in a few days before the wedding with his groomsmen to try on the tux's, some of the tux's had broken buckles, and one of the tux's pants were too small, and another had a ripped shoulder seam. We requested a new tux style that had just come out and so we were surprised how damaged the rentals were, and how Peggy's hadn't obviously checked anything before arriving for the apointment. On the day of the wedding a buckle popped off another groomsmen's tux and he had to safety pin his pants from falling down. And although Peggy's said they were offering a promotion/discount because I had purchased my dress there, we found out we were greatly overcharged, but too late to get our deposit back. (I had called Tuxedo Junction, where the tuxedo's had come from, and they quoted us a much better price, almost $60 cheaper on EACH tux). We could have saved hundreds if we had gone to Tuxedo Junction directly. Peggy's bridal made alot of promises on the tux rentals that they didn't keep, and we were not happy with the way the staff handled our complaints on the day of the fitting and then on the day we returned everything to tell them about all the issues we had. They just kept giving us telephone numbers of different people to call at the tux company instead of handling this themselves for us. Although the staff had been nice enough through the process of my dress, they were horrible in handling the tux issues.

I would highly recommend Peggy's Bridal. My first trip to Peggy's was the 3rd Wedding Dress Boutique I had visited and the last. Withing minutes of stepping foot through the door, I was treated like a princess and made to feel very special. The consultant that worked with me, Jeanne, listened thoroughly to all of my likes and dislikes and helped me pick a variety of dresses to try on, even a few I was unsure of. Trusting her experience had been the best thing! The dress that she insisted I take in to the fitting room was perfect! It was everything I wanted and more. She even cried along with my mom, aunt and matron of honor when I came out to show everyone. Planning my wedding from out-of-town, the team at Peggy's worked with my schedule, planning fittings and alterations around my travel schedule. I would highly recommend Peggy's to any Bride-to-be!- Kate Manser- Denver, Colorado.

I bought my wedding dress here. They are a small boutique but have a good selection. They have beautiful gowns and some which are really unique unlike some other bridal shops I was at where many of the dresses looked the same.

They were wonderful- I found the perfect dress, they were able to schedule fittings around my schedule. They were very upfront with cost.

The girls were so helpful in finding the perfect wedding dress and it didn't cost me near as much as other places I looked!
