When my husband and I first met Caroline De La Paz, the President and co-Owner (with her husband), of Patisserie Lille for the first time in April, we were immediately and greatly impressed. Up to that point, we had cake tastings and meetings at several other local bakeries, but we weren't yet "sold" on any one of them.....until we got to Patisserie Lille. For well over an hour, Caroline sat down with my then-fiance and I and took the time to truly listen to what we did/did not want in the way of a wedding cake and groom's cake. More importantly, however, she asked a lot of great questions, which helped my husband and I narrow down our selections and figure out what we really wanted. Based on that input and feedback, she gave us the cake tasting of our dreams -- and we were able to pick flavors that would not only appeal to us (as chocaholics!), but also our guests. For our wedding day, Caroline, her husband and their incredibly talented team truly delivered! Our wedding cake, which was decorated as an almost exact replica of a celebrity wedding cake that I had seen in a wedding magazine, was totally gorgeous (and delicious!). Meanwhile, my husband's red velvet groom's cake, which was designed in the shape of a Florida Gator (since the U. of Florida is my husband's alma mater) was nothing short of AMAZING! Indeed, that cake -- in addition to our fabulous band -- was the hand's-down hit of our reception, and people could not stop talking about how mouth-wateringly delicious it was. More than one of our guests told us it was the absolute best cake they'd ever had, so it was no surprise that the cake was totally gone before the reception ended. However, before it evaporated, many pictures were taken of that cake -- and many of those photos have been posted to sites like Facebook. My husband and I greatly enjoyed working with Caroline and her husband, and we very much appreciated her professionalism and attention to details. If you get a chance to work with Patisserie Lille, do it! It will easily be one of your best wedding planning decisions.

The initial meetings were great. Loved the customer service and willingness to re-create a cake that I feel in love with.


Day of was a little bit of a let down. The cake was delivered about 10 minutes prior to the ceremony (an 1.5 hours later than it was supposed to be delivered). When I went out to see it I was disappointed in the cracks (which they tried to hide in the back), as well as broken decorations. The cake was the most important thing at the wedding to me.

A little let down with the day of and final execution of looks. The cake tasted great but the looked ruined it some for me.

Their pastried were amazing from what the guest said.

They knew how important the cake was to me and for it to show up late and not looking the best it could was a major turn-off and disappointment. When confronted about it they blamed it on my venue even though the cake was cracked as soon as it was delivered. They got their money but they will not be getting referrals or recommendations from us. Very upsetting.

The wedding cake was part of our wedding reception package. We were given a few places to choose from and Patisserie Lille was the bakery we chose. We had a great experience with Patisserie Lille. Once we tasted their cakes we knew this was the bakery for us! Their cakes are light and delicious! Caroline, one of the owners, was pleasant to work with and was able to deliver exactly what I wanted in a cake design. I brought in a picture of the cake I wanted and they were able to replicate the design. Everyone at the reception told us how beautiful the cake was and we got lots of positive feedback on how the cake tasted as well. I would highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake and all your dessert needs!

Patisserie Lille was one of my venue's preferred venues so I made a cake tasting appointment. We met with the owner, Caroline, and she was absolutely wonderful! She listened to all of my cake ideas, offered her expert opinion and made sure we tasted a variety of cake types (even those that I had wrongly assumed I wouldn't like). They don't have an elaborate list of cake/icing options like some wedding cake bakeries but they were much less restrictive in their designs. We were able to have different cake/icing in each layer and weren't charged any extra for the design we came up with. She worked with us until we were satisfied with a design that she was confident they could execute and that we would be pleased with. The cake cost was included in my venue's package so I don't know how much it would have cost otherwise. But I do know that EVERYONE said that the cake tasted amazing and was the best wedding cake they'd had. Even the fondant (which is often the downfall of wedding cakes) tasted good! In addition, it turned out beautifully! I would recommend this bakery for wedding cakes again and again.

I went to this bakery just to check it out and found that I fell in love with the owners. I told them everything I wanted and showed pictures of how i wanted my wedding cake and they produced the exact copy. The wedding cake was absolutely beautiful, on time and I couldnt be more happier! It was delicious also!!! I would recommend using them for all your cake needs - even birthday etc.

What wonderfully responsive and great people they are! Caroline is funny and honest, and will suggest alternatives if you're not quite sure if a design or flavor will work.

We had a three layer cake and brought in a design we found online. They were able to re-create it perfectly!

In addition, I showed up about a week before the wedding and asked for a groom's cake. It was very specialized and a hit with all the guests.

We had our wedding cake and grooms cake made for our wedding. They were perfect. The grooms cake was three dimensional and required a lot of little details. The tasting and consultation went really well, they made it extremely easy. They listened to everything we wanted. Delivery of the cakes were right on time.

Patisserie Lille was on my vendor's list from our wedding venue, and the cake came with our package. Caroline was wonderful, and when scheduling a tasting with our crazy schedules proved to be difficult, she accomodated us by letting us come in on a day she normally didn't do tastings. The samples were wonderful! I brought in some pictures I'd found and they said no problem in doing something similar. They even let us do multiple flavors, unlike some of the places we'd been. I had my heart set on buttercream instead of fondant and the wedding cake the day of, looked gorgeous! Everyone said they loved it but I was a little disappointed. The buttercream tasted very bland, almost like they overbeat it or something. The sponge and filling were superb, though. I would recommend this place but make sure you ask enough questions so you know exactly what to expect.

Dalo and Caroline are awesome! They were even willing to make us a sugar free layer to our wedding cake for our diabetic guests! My wedding cake was simple and beautiful, just like I wanted. The taste- FANTASTIC!!! Everyone was RAVING about the mixed fruit layer- SO delicious! They were patient with me while I changed my mind over and over again-never got frustrated with me!!! I gave out their number to several prospective brides- I can't wait to use them again!!

We interviewed several cake vendors and they had the best tasting cakes and the most competitive price. They were easy to work with and very accommodating. We already had a design idea in mind when we met with them and they were able to duplicate it very successfully.

Our guests all though the cake looked incredible and everyone loved the taste.

I really wanted to go with a smaller mom-and-pop type bakery for the wedding cake, so this worked. They really worked with us for our budget and the cake was delicious! The contract took a few reviews before it was accurate and it seems like that is something that needs to be worked on. The contract just looked sloppy and unprofessional. This has no reflection of course on the quality of the cake.

Our main problem with this vendor was that on the day of the wedding, our cake was leaning. We ordered a three-tiered cake and a sheet cake to be cut up in the back. The top layer was leaning so much that it looked as though it was going to fall over. The caterer had to remove the top layer and place it in the back so it wouldn't fall to the ground. This could have been due to heat but I would assume that it also has to do with the relatively careless way it was assembled by whomever from the bakery arrived to our reception site. This was disappointing.

I loved the cake that Patisserie Lille made for our wedding! We could choose from many different flavors for fillings - we chose Bavarian Creme with fruit, Raspberry Mousse, and Tiramisu Mousse - all were wonderful! The staff at Patisserie Lille was so helpful and enthusiastic! I loved going there to discuss ideas for our wedding cake and will definitely be going back for our first anniversary to get a little piece of our wedding day to share! Can't wait!

Cake was AMAZING! So great 2 of our friends also got their wedding cake from here. Cake was set up beautifully and on time. The only problem we had is that they forgot to put our cake topper on the cake and we had to pick it up from them the next day, but the cake was still beautiful.

We really enjoyed working with this vendor. The staff at Patisserie Lille was very professional and responsive. Our "tres leches" wedding cake turned out exactly how we wanted it to be - both beautiful and delicious. We highly recommend this place for any special occasion cake.

Patisserie Lille did a beautiful job with our wedding cake. It was even personalized with our own monogram design. Everyone loved the way the cake tasted as well as the way it looked!
