Was included in our package with the venue but we decided to go with this bakery for our groom's cake. It was nice but generic looking (Chicago Bear's theme) and tasted like a cake from a neighborhood grocer. I am glad that we didn't use them for our wedding cake because we would have been highly disappointed. That was the only thing that I have tasted from there so their other products might be good...I will not be trying them out for myself though.

Pastry Pantry makes cakes for our reception hall, Abbington. At first we thought we were supposed to contact them directly and were starting to get peeved when they hadn't returned our calls to schedule a tasting. Then we realized that all of it is handled through Abbington. The only bummer was that the cake we wanted to try wasn't one that they had for us to try at the tasting session. So we went out on a limb and got the cheesecake torte with chocolate cake. It was delicious and the cake looked pretty, though probably not as elaborate as my wife would have liked. Overall, it was a great cake - looking forward to eating the top layer!

Pastry Pantry only provides cakes to certain reception sites, but since the owner is a family friend, we were able to call in a favor :)
We had tried their cakes at parties and the quality is beyond amazing. We met with Joy and gave her a deion of how we envisioned our wedding cake, and she went above and beyond. The cake was so beautiful! It tasted better than I had remembered and it is taking everything we have not to break open the box in our freezer holding the cake!
I highly recommend Pastry Pantry and wish every wedding we went to had wedding cakes made by them, because they are simply amazing.

I really didn't have any direct contact with my wedding cake vendor as our cake from this bakery was included in our package price with our reception facility. However, I just have to say that the cake was awesome and we received TONS of compliments on it! It was also beautifully decorated and exactly what we wanted. YUM!

The Pastry Pantry is the wedding cake store that the Abbington uses. I gave all specifications to the Abbington and I was worried about the cake turning out correctly. I have to say that the cake was more than I envisioned and the taste was wonderful. We actually got cards about how much people loved the cake!
