Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was decadently delicious!

They were on time and the cake was beautiful. I selected a marble mousse cake and my guests could not have been happier. Many of my guests admitted to me that they ate multiple pieces of cake, I'm so glad they enjoyed it as much as we did.

My fiance and I ordered our wedding cake from Pastries by Randolph and couldn't have been happier. At the cake tasting, we were given huge portions of each flavor such that we took some of it home to have family members try out before making a final decision (which was tough- all the flavors we tasted were delicious!). In addition, there was a very helpful binder that showed all of the different cake designs divided by price range, which made it easy to find something that worked with our budget. We ended up choosing a smaller, three-layer cake and getting additional sheet cakes to cut down on costs, which they were happy to do. After placing our order, the folks at Pastries by Randolph were great about communicating with our venue, confirming with us when we called to check in, etc. On the big day, Pastries by Randolph delivered the cake exactly as promised- it looked beautiful, tasted great, and was exactly what we wanted. :)

Pastries by Randolph was great to work with. We got a yummy chocolate cake with raspberry filling for our wedding. Guests loved it, and it looked beautiful. The bakery was happy to accommodate our preference for a small cake for cutting and larger sheet cakes to feed guests. (We were turned off by another bakery that really looked down at our preference to do this in order to save some money.) Pastries by Randolph had a wide range of styles to choose from and seemed willing to accommodate any preferences when possible. They had something for everyone from very simple to more ornate custom creations. The delivery person was right on time the day of the wedding, and she was able to add the cake topper I gave her the day of the wedding without a problem. I would recommend them to any bride without hesitation.

We were extremely happy with our wedding cake vendor. Not only was it beautiful, it was moist and flavorful. People are still talking about how delicious it was. We picked a buttercream frosting and used a raspberry buttercream and lemon curd filling on one layer with chocolate buttercream on another. The scrolling design and buttercream flowers were beautiful and professionally done. The staff was very responsive to some changes that we made. They delivered the cake on time and in great condition in spite of the massive storm and power outages the night before.

Delicious! They had a bunch of different flavors to choose from. I am not a huge fondant fan so we went with buttercream. Our bottom layer was yellow cake with vanilla syrup and toasted almond buttercream. Our top layer with chocolate cake with amaretto syrup and white chocolate buttercream. Loved it. We shall see how the top layer saves for the one year. If not, I'll go back to the store to get a small cake! Love that bakery!!

I always knew that I would want Randolph's chocolate mouse cake as a wedding cake -- it is simply the best cake in the Washington DC metro area -- delicious. We ended up with a marble (brown chocolate and white chocolate mouse inside) and white chocolate outside. The only downside is that because of the type of cake it was I was limited in the outside pattern but believe that we came very close to having an incredible tasting cake that also was lovely on the outside. However, I wish that they would come up with more alternatives for the outside of the cake. Everyone raved about it saying it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted, and it was ...

My cake was exactly as I had requested and tasted even better than I recall the samples tasting. The cake was delivered on time and in perfect condition even though my wedding was in Rockville, Maryland. I have already recommended them to others and I continue to frequent this vendor for other sweet treats.

We had a great time tasting all the wedding cakes around town but my daughter decided on Randolph’s based on the tastings, their stellar reputation and their “out of this world” chocolate mousse cake for the Groom’s Cake. The cake was a classic butter cream with smooth icing and Swiss dots around the bases as my daughter requested, a beautiful classic. They used the topper from her parent’s wedding the same one her grandparents used. It could not have looked or tasted better.

The cake was beautiful, delicious, reasonably priced and delivered on time. It was exactly what we wanted (they even managed to make the buttercream icing...since I'm not a big fondant fan...almost look as smooth as fondant on the outside). We had them make a wedding-cake version of their lemon buttercream. Once we tasted it we kept going back to pick up the regular smaller cakes for various events, and I'm sure we'll keep going back to re-try our wedding cake. The guests raved and the venue staff was thrilled when we took the leftover we want and they were still left with a ton (the portions are generous anyway, and our guest list was trimmed significantly by the incoming hurricane) to eat themselves!

Pastries by Randolph did the cake for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious and beautiful! Also, they were very affordable compared to some of the bakeries we looked at. We would highly recommend Pastries by Randolph for anyone looking for a wedding cake! (We're already looking forward to that top tier!)

I have lived in Arlington for years and always knew how great Pastries By Randolph were. When it came time to get a wedding cake from them, I knew exactly where I would be going. They work with all kinds of budgets and help to cut costs where they can. They were able to maintain the theme of the wedding (peacock feathers) and it was executed beautifully. They arrived at the venue on time and set everything up excellently. They are professional and personable and answered all my questions in a timely manner.

We live right by Pastries by Randolph and visit often. So it was an obvious choice to have them do our wedding cake. Everything was all set in motion and all planned out. A couple of days before the wedding, we realized our cake topper was a little bigger than our top piece of cake was. They didn't hesitate and changed and rearranged the cake to make it work. And on the day of the wedding we had a great, delicious cake that had a cake topper that was perfect size for the cake. Thanks Randolph!

Randolph was GREAT! We could do a free cake tasting, where we were lucky that we found our cake. Then we got the exact great taste at the wedding day and a great look of the cake. We feel very lucky that we picked Randolph because the cake looks great on the pictures as well. They were totally affordable, work with our special requests, and gave us ideas by spending time with us looking through their wedding book. I don't think we could have asked for more. Thank you!

It's hard to suggest that any wedding cake in this area is a good value for the cost since they are all so expensive, but I did feel like Pastries by Randolph gave us a cake that looked more expensive than it was and tasted great. When you have your tasting, take the cake home and let it get to room temperature. We had it when it was cold and didn't like it, but tried it later that night and we were sold on it.

Don't expect a full service cake tasting. They don't really spend time with you helping you decide what sort of cake you should get it - they just sort of throw the samples and the book of pictures at you and let you figure it out yourself. It was unusual, but it worked for us.

Our cake was DELICIOUS and looked beautiful. The staff at Pastries by Randolph was incredibly helpful in advance by creating samples images of the cake and testing out colors so we were able to pick exactly what colors we wanted on the design of our cake. I only was able to snag a small bite, but we received a ton of compliments on the cake and the small bite I had was fantastic!
