I first heard of One Sweet Slice through a post on Facebook. They were giving away a free wedding cake. I checked out the pictures of the cakes they had online and I LOVED them, so I jumped on the oppourtunity. The contest was a week long and we completed against 19 other couples for the free cake. The contest ended up being a down-to-the-second battle between us and another couple. Janell was gracious enough to award both us and the other couple a FREE CAKE! I felt like that was a stand-up and very professional move on her part. We were thrilled to say the least! Jared and I met with her a few weeks later for a tasting and the cake was delicious. I showed her a few pictures of cakes I liked and pointed out some details on cakes that she has done that I loved. Our invitations had various patterns printed on the back side of each piece, and I sent those patters to Janell for inspiration also. She sent us her flavor list and she has incredible options; it was hard to choose! When we walked in to the reception and saw our cakes we were completely floored. They were PERFECT! I was almost in tears I was so excited about them. We had requested four medium to small sized cakes instead of one big one, each with various cake stands. Janell made us SIX CAKES! Each was adorable and perfect. I could pick out the details I had told her I liked, as well as details that were in the patters of our invitations. She nailed it. All night I was ushering people over to the cakes to show them off, and we received numerous compliments on them. Lots of people were really looking forward to our cakes because of the contest, and I heard nothing but good things about how gorgeous and delicious the cakes were. I would recommend Janell with 100% confidence to anyone.

I would extremely recommend going to someone else. 2 days before the wedding we received a phone call from Janelle stating that she needed a decorative piece that she doesn’t offer, which at the beginning when making the arrangements she said she would contain this after we paid her off…and so out of urgency we were capable to find something to make “it work” and then… the day of the wedding they didn’t bring the accurate bottom plate so we had to make it work on just the table (no apologize, no returned money, no phone call…nothing) …and then to this day she claims we still have the bottom plate…like I mentioned above, go somewhere else… this company is a joke and will make your wedding miserable!

Janell with One Sweet Slice is very talented. Her cakes are stunning and they taste great too, which is hard to come by. She is very creative and came up with something that exceeded my expectations. My husband loves to ski. She made him a ski groom's cake that turned out amazing! My husband also raved about the taste of her cakes for weeks after the wedding. Book One Sweet Slice! You won't be dissapointed.

I loved my cake and my husband couldn't have asked for a better grooms cake! She did a great job and very accomodating when I asked her to add a color at the last minute. Not only did the cakes look great but they tasted great too!!!

I loved working with Janell at One Sweet Slice. I contacted her sort of last minute and she was still able to make a cake that was exactly what I wanted. She was also the cheapest place I could find. Her cake was gorgeous. It looked just like the example I sent to her. Also, it tasted fantastic! We got the chocolate cake with cream cheese filling. Wonderful!

When I was on the hunt for the perfect wedding cake I had set up many appointments but after meeting with Janell not only were her cakes spectacular and delicious but Janell was fun and personable she really captured and understood the idea of cake I was going for lets just say I cancelled the rest of my appts. from there! When I actually saw my cake on the wedding day I was so shocked it had exceeded my expectations and was one of my favorites parts of the wedding and I believe my wedding guest would agree! I definitely plan to use Janell for future occasions!

Janell with One Sweet Slice did an amazing job with our wedding cake! It was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We did quite a few tastings prior to securing Janell, and once we tasted her cakes, we knew we had found our cake maker. Her flavors are varied, and all of them are delicious. She is also a great artist and was able to take an idea that I had, personalize it, and make my cake even more beautiful than I imagined. She was so easy to work with, and very accessible. I would highly recommend her for your wedding!

There was so many choices of creating the cake. The cost of the cake was very good and the little kids loved it! Came on time and it was my dream cake for my wedding.

I would absolutely recommend Janell to anyone. She allowed me to pick a cake design I liked (from anywhere - I saw one online), and then we discussed how I wanted to change it to fit my taste, wedding colors, etc. My cake turned out beautiful - it was exactly what I wanted. Her prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of work that she does, and she has many different flavor varieties so your cake will taste great too!
