We chose Sound Wave DJ because of all the great reviews we heard about them! Jim was our DJ, he was awesome. Everyone at the wedding really had a great time with him. Not to mention the fact that he can sing. He left no one out and was very professional! They day was perfect, and we could not have asked for a better DJ. He did all the work, making sure everyone stayed on schedule with cake cutting and bouquet toss etc. Jim was great! Hire Sound Wave DJ's you will not be disappointed!

Chris was a great dj. He really got a feel for our guests throughout the night and played music that fit perfectly. Everyone had a blast.

Jim was our hero at our wedding. Simply put. Not only did he DJ, but he sings BEAUTIFULLY!! -- Something he did not tell us beforehand, therefore, it was such a wonderful surprise! He ran the whole show, literally! He entertained, he provided props to dance with, he orchestrated and coordinated, he managed to have the entire wedding from beginning to end, simply FLOW... But the MOST IMPORTANT thing Jim did, was: HE GOT PEOPLE TO DANCE THAT NEVER, EVER DANCE!!! Now, that's when you KNOW a DJs good at what he does. He's a good-looking, sharp-dressed and quick-witted guy, too!!! He made our reception a TRUE PARTY!! Our wedding reception would have been a disaster, had Jim not been there. We definitely got MORE than what we paid for! For ANY event, choose Sound Wave Entertainment if you TRULY want to have a FANTASTIC time!! Thank you, Jim for making our day a success!

Jim was OUTSTANDING! He catered to all the age groups at our reception, he was entertaining, he had great props. Thsi was the second time I have seen him work at a wedding and each time is better than the next.

Jim and Sound Wave Entertainment was excellent for my wedding. I wanted a DJ that did not play cheesy music and would be able to play to the tastes of the crowd. I wanted the dancing to be a key element to my wedding and wanted my guests to remember how much fun they had. Jim definately helped achieve that! The boas and hats were a big hit and got everyone out on the dance floor. There was a variety in the music played which kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. He also sang a few tunes and interacted with the guests. He helped me achieve my perfect wedding and would highly recommend him to anyone having a wedding!

He also did an wonderful job in providing the music for my outdoor ceremony!

Soundwave entertainment was the best investment......He is a five (5) star DJ.... I would highly recommend him on any day!!!!

I'm still hearing from family and friends about how impressed they were. ....

Jim Hester did an AWESOME job as the DJ at our daughter's wedding reception. His performance exceeded our expectations. He got everyone involved, he brought props, he did it ALL. I would NOT hesitate to recommend him to anyone for their special day. He got input from the bride and groom as to what songs they wanted played and when. He added his own "spice" which really kept people going. No one wanted to leave when the reception was over - it could have lasted all night! He gets an A++++ for professionalism, enthusiasm, care, communication, and hosting a great party. We've had friends tell us it was the BEST wedding reception they had EVER been too! Our wedding went really smoothly due to our DJ, Soundwave Entertainment. As with any event, unexpected surprises came up and our DJ made the party with his entertainment and character. One little boy came up to me the next day and said "they treat kids like royalty," Thanks to Soundwave entertainment guests of all ages all had a great time! I'm still receiving complements about how everything went and you don't have a good party without a great DJ. Thanks Soundwave Entertainment!!!

Jim was absolutely fantastic -- a pleasure to work with as well as a great entertainer. Someone recently told me that our DJ "made the reception" which I thought was a great compliment, and I thought so too!

Although I got married years ago, I decided to wait to write a review because of how upset I was with Soundwave Entertainment.
This is written towards the vendor.
I never could have imagined that the DJ I selected could ruin my once in a lifetime wedding single handedly. The following are some of the issues I have with the way things were handled - partly to get it off my chest and partly so maybe you can learn from this experience as this type of behavior will not get you far when your new venue opens.

First of all, I hired XXXX, my wedding coordinator. I hired you. We paid you money to do what we wanted for the wedding, which you did not do. We paid XXXX money to take the stress off of me, the bride. I spent the last 12+ months communicating to my wedding planner what I wanted on my wedding day. My mom and I spent hours going over details - all of which ended up having no bearing on the evening as you chose to run things your way. It suddenly came apparent that my wedding was no longer about me, but it was about you.

The whole event was short enough without you wasting 30 minutes of the evening going around to different guests, putting several of them on the spot when they didn't want to be on the spot, asking them about what makes a marriage work. That was a waste of time, I could have been greeting people or dancing, I definitely was not aware that you would take so much time to do that. I had wanted you to invite everyone to dance, I was ok with you telling me that you had a specific song you did for the anniversary dance but then you didn't run it the way I wanted you to. I thought you would have had everyone come out and dance, and then ask the different anniversary levels to leave and then the oldest couple would be left, and you would ask them what the secret was, not 30 some couples. That was supposed to be just my grandparents left on the floor and ONLY them to ask what helps make a marriage work (they had been married longer than anyone there).

I can't even begin to tell you how horrified I was when my elegant, classy wedding that I dreamed of suddenly became some 7th graders batmitzfah with flashing rings and feather boas and rediculous hats that are going to ruin the pictures of my friends and family enjoying themselves at my wedding. I NEVER would have apporoved that had I known that you were going to distribute such items that in my eyes made the evening go from elegant and classy to being juvinile and a joke. The pictures and video I spent thousands on permanently have those items in them.

I was told by more than 3 people that you told some of our guests to "shut up". That is unacceptable.

You announced the boquet toss without alerting my planner to be ready with the "fake boquet". This forced me to through my real boquet that I had intended to get professionally dried and restored. This was obviously one of the results of you refusing to use the timeline that me, my parents, our wedding coordinator, and my venue had established.

You made no effort to play the songs that I requested, you only played waht you wanted to. I remember ending the night, standing in my wedding gown, arguing with you as to what song to play last.

You played my favorite song that I wanted to dance with my girlfriends with while I was off being interviewed by the videograher. That song was supposed to be for me and my friends, I dreamed of dancing with them for years, on that one day, my wedding day.

Now, even years later, I still get worked up and angry when I think about what you did to my wedding day so I am trying to bring closure by submitting this review. ALSO - even after ruining the event, Jim Hester had the nerve to ASK for a TIP!!!
