At my small reception he assured me that he would have everyone up and dancing, even the ones who didnt want to dance, without being "in your face." When dance hour came, no one hit the floor besides my hubby and I. We danced a whole song and still no one. I went over to Matt and asked him to play some type of interactive game to get people up. He said "games?" he didnt play one game at all. he tried a slow song, and a few people came out. That was not a game, he didnt do what he promised, or what I asked him that night.

Matt was terrific and came fully prepared to set up at three different sites for us. He was on time and took care of everything exactly as we had discussed. We asked that he not honor our guests requests for music and he handled it perfectly. Thanks for everything, it was a wonderful event.

Joanne and Joe were so wonderful. I talked to Matt to set up everything and he was very kind and easy to work with. Joanne later called me to finalize my line up of songs (which impressed me). The day of the event there were changes and this amazing couple took care of my needs like it was no problem at all. I was nervous about the timing of when I should walking down the aisle and so Joanne standed near me to give me a cue when to go. There were also problems before the wedding and Joanne and Joe helped me even though it had nothing to do with DJing. They played everything we asked for, and acted/dressed professionally. They were so sweet and kind, I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Steve was our DJ at our wedding reception, and he was great!!! We were in touch with Matt, for most of the pre-wedding planning. This communication was all e-mail based, since we planned our wedding from 350 miles away! We decided to go with Occasions *because* they were easy to communicate with via e-mail. Their website provides a *very* easy and effective planning tool, where we could identify songs we definitely did not want to hear at our reception. And, we could make it clear that we did not want a DJ who would be talking all night and not adhering to our requests and instructions. A few weeked before our wedding, Steve, who was matched up to us based on his personality and what we wanted, called me and we talked about our final details. He was courteous, and easy to talk to.
On the day of, he showed up in a tuxedo!!! We were not expecting this, and it was just awesome! He looked great, and he listened to us about not being cheesy or too talkative, and he kept the music playing all night. He also helped the nights events run smoothly by being the MC. He was wonderful!
We highly recommend Occasions DJs for wedding receptions, and if you can get Steve, you will be all set :)

Occassions Disc Jockey is a very professional company that is easy to work with. They provide an online form that allows you to provide a schedule for your ceremony and reception, including exactly when you want certain events to take place. The form makes it very easy to indicate which songs you want played for special moments, such as the cake cutting, and the entrance. If you don't want to pick specific songs, you can also pick music styles and eras that you prefer for the reception.
We used Occasions for the sound system only during the ceremony and for the music during the reception. Matt was our DJ. He was GREAT! One of our guests called him the DJ from Oz, because he kept playing great music but you never saw him. (we had asked for him to be low profile, but if you want him more involved in the party, he will do that as well.)
We wish we had a chance to thank Matt in person that night, but we were having so much fun on the dance floor, which was full all evening, that we didn't get a chance to. Thanks Matt!

I was very pleased with Matt at Occasions DJ's. He was very professional and performed the music for my ceremony as well. He brought three systems with him (one for the ceremony, one for the cocktail hour room and one for the reception) at no extra charge and I definitely appreciated that. We went over a very thorough list and everything was pulled off without a hitch!!

Occassions is such a well organized company. Matthew Cleveland, the owner is really on the ball. He's quick to respond to any questions or concerns you have. We were very specific in our music choices and in how we wanted the evening to progress. Matthew delivered on everything. He took the songs we requested and gave them the perfect order and flow. He was a gracious and unassuming dj who let the music speak for him. He matched our formal evening wedding perfectly.

They provided a lot of paperwork to fill out to make sure that you were getting exactly the kind of music you wanted. They also have extensive song lists online, so you could almost choose every song you'd like them to play all night. We did not get the main DJ, and the guy we got was a little shy which meant that he didn't announce everything as enthusiastically as we would have liked. I would try to book them as early as possible to make sure you get your pick of DJ's.

My husband and I were very pleased with Matt's performance at our wedding. He made sure to have on hand every song we requested. My husband is a musician and had very specific requests for our intro song, first dance etc. Matt met and exceeded all of our expectations.

Everything was great! They were really friendly and professional. The only thing that bothered me is that we had a bunch of songs we wanted to have played, but they played other songs during the dinner, even though we were pressed for time.

Matt kept the crowd dancing from beginning to end. He wasn't overbearing, but he directed the flow of events. He listened to our concerns and played/didn't play what we asked. Greatest DJ company in the area!
