I am flummoxed by any negative reviews for Adam. Our interactions and his product, our wedding photos – flawless.

We “eloped” and so it was it was imperative to us to have beautiful pictures to share with family and friends. There were only 3 people to shoot (us and the officiant), so we didn’t get to meet Imthiaz, but Adam was GREAT. Example – he hopped right in the creek to photograph us standing on the riverbank, claiming that “that’s the best shot.” Now that’s dedication to composition!

Also, Adam promptly put up a website for our friends and family to see. His turnaround time was fast, the pictures were gorgeous, and we couldn’t be happier!

I would recommend working with Adam in a heartbeat – no hesitation what so ever.

1. Band
2. Photographer
3. Food
That is what my husband and I chose to focus on. Sure dress, shoes, venue, bridesmaid dresses, flowers... and all the other things are important, but they were our THINGS. Husband is in a band, and we are pretty serious foodies so food and tunes were a big decision. But photographer... You see, my father fancies himself a photographer. My father, who was paying for this whole shindig. My father, who pays more attention to detail than anyone I know. My choice in PHOTOGRAPHER was going to make or break his faith in me as a party planner, and potentially as a person :).
Both my husband and I scoured the internet looking for the right photographer. We looked at people out of our price range on both sides of the spectrum. Eventually we narrowed it down to 3. Adam and Imthiaz was the first door we walked into. We did eventually meet the other 2, but we knew A & I were going to be our people after we left that first night. Adam is who Adam is and his wife perfectly matches him. They are cool no drama kind of people. They get the job done, and done right. Honestly, we still have people talking about our photos that didn't even come to the wedding.
I must say we ended up choosing exactly the right people for the job. From our engagement photos, (that we swore we wouldn't like and ended up framing), to our wedding night, A & I delivered unreal photographs. The captured moments I didn't even realize were happening. Secret stolen kisses, crazy dance moves, they literally captured the feeling in the room during my fathers toast! (Capturing feelings is no easy task). If you are lucky enough to have the option of using Adam and Imthiaz to record the memories of your big day, DO IT! Hire them, tell them what photos you must have and then let them surprise you with the photos you didn't know you wanted but once you've seen, can't live with out. They are the real deal.

Highlight of Our Wedding

My wife and I met with about 10 different photographers before choosing to work with Adam. We chose to work with Adam because he was extremely responsive and honest with us. And, we felt like we could hang out with him on the most important day of our lives and not feel awkward around him. I can’t speak highly enough about Adam.

Literally, I feel like Adam is our family photographer for the rest of our lives. My wife did a boudoir session with him before our wedding and we have since referred 3 or 4 of our friends to use Adam. On top of it all, our pictures were AMAZING! Words can’t really explain how good they were. To give you an idea of the caliber of pictures – we were featured in a 4 page spread in Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine. ‘Nough said.

Listen, I know he’s gotten some bad reviews, and I did my due diligence too before hiring him. I asked him about them and he was able to explain each one and made me feel comfortable enough to give the guy several grand up front for our photos (cause of the discount he offered us). I wouldn’t have changed anything and would use Adam again. Feel free to ask Adam for my number and I’ll tell you personally how smooth it was. Good luck!

Adam and his wife, Imthiaz were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! During the planning for our Denver wedding we were living in Grand Junction. Adam and Imthiaz were so flexible with our tight schedule while we were in town. They also were a pleasure to work with and were really fun. I was impressed with their work when I first found them; it was artsy, which was the look I was going for and my father, who took care of the bill and has a passion for photography thought their work was amazing.
Not only did they do our wedding, they also shot our engagement photos and rehearsal dinner reception. We have been so pleased with everything, especially our wedding photos! I am so happy with my choice of Adam and Imthiaz! So many friends have said of our photos, "You look like you belong in a magazine!" I agree and my father said, "best money spent.

It is true that Adam Houseman has a really great personality and the photos on his website are really great but we fell for the flash. On our wedding day they seemed like they were taking every photo we could ever have imagined, he also had us provide him with a list of must take photos that we did put together, we wre fellin ggood about it all.
Now it's almost a full four months later and we still don't have all of our photos, aside from the fact that from what we have to choose from on their website, it looks like they missed every important moment of our wedding or they were so far away that you can't even tell what is going on. They even hired a third photographer to continue taking photos since they overbooked their weekend and left early. This gentleman was at our event the full eight hours and all we got from him were 13 photos to choose from, we don't even have a copy of his photos for ourselves becasue Adam said he lost the CD. After numerous e-mails and calls, all we have received from Adam and his staff are excuses and put offs as to why we don't have our photos. This also happend with our engagement photos, we waited three and a half months for those.
We have been unable to send our Thank You cards, we still don't have photos to provide our videographer for the cover of our DVD, thus we don't have our DVD yet, and overall AHP is making us look bad in front our friends and family because of their lack of professionalism. Not to mention that we still have to choose the photos for our album that was included with the package that we paid for and not only do I feel I don't have enough pictures to fill it but I'm deathly afraid of how long that is going to take.

We wouldn't recommend using AHP for a day that is so important and that can never be recaptured again.

Don’t risk it! I regret hiring Adam Houseman as my wedding photographer. He was hard to reach and I was unable to meet with him before the wedding. He showed up on time but didn’t take many pictures before the ceremony like we planned. His wife, Imthiaz scowled and sulked through the whole day, never speaking or smiling.
Two months after the wedding I got instructions for viewing my online proofs and was disappointed to discover that the pictures did not include many important wedding events-not the bustling of my dress, no bouquet toss, no garter toss, not any of the groomsmen’s serenade of me nor the sparkling exit-although he was there and taking pictures. I promptly emailed him and he never responded. He ignored all my emails and phone calls for another month and never mailed me a disc of the images as promised- and so finally I contacted the Gatehouse who recommended him. Well, he promptly emailed me with all his excuses-my emails went to spam, his mail was stolen by teenagers and he had equipment failure. It wasn't a flash syncing issue (as had happened at another wedding he shot) what happened was a memory card failure so he missed the last two hours of the reception. That is completely unacceptable for a professional wedding photographer, not to mention there was two of them there taking pictures so it doesn’t even make sense. The disc never arrived and I had to go to his office and pick it up four months after the wedding and after three discs he claimed to have mailed never arrived. He agreed to give me a portion of my money back, but nothing can replace those pictures that weren't taken. Their name has changed now, maybe to avoid anyone finding this information. Beware!

As soon as we met Adam Houseman, we knew we wanted him to be our wedding photographer. His personality shines through in the portfolios he brought to our initial meeting, and we loved the look of all the photos.

The day of the wedding I knew I didn't have to worry about which photos were getting taken, and I didn't need to worry about where the photographers were - ever - they were everywhere! Many people commented on what great pictures we were going to have - just by watching Adam and Imthiaz work. And they were right!

Now comes the part where I'll have to sort through thousands of my favorites to find the few to put into the album!

I highly recommend working with this husband and wife team.

Adam is awesome. He made our day stress free and fun. His work is amazing and everyone who attended our wedding had nothing but good things to say about him.
