Bought my dress on nordstrom.com for my destination wedding. I bought a beautiful tea length ivory silk dress with a rosette trim. A very high quality dress for such a great price. It is a great website if you are looking for a more non traditional wedding dress.

Since I only had two bridesmaids, we looked at department stores to find a dress for them. We found a great dress (satin, A-line) in the color and style I wanted for a fraction of the price that we would normally pay for a dress at any bridal store. Great deal!

I bought my wedding dress online at www.nordstrom.com. It was an ivory, off-shoulder silk taffeta dress by JS Collections in Petite. You can find a lot of good deals online and Nordstrom has a good selection from designer brands. Their sale prices on dresses is unreal. They even have a link to Wedding Dresses on their Dress Shop site. You can easily narrow down by color, brand, and size. I like that they offer petite, which many stores do not. In addition the price was really reasonable for a wedding gown. The gown had two layers. I did go to a seamstress to take it in (only because I lost 20 lbs so I can look great in Jamaica). It seems their dress selections online are more for destination / summer weddings or simple garden weddings. They do not have the princess style dresses with a lot of lace & puff. I also found a lot of dresses (also in Petite) on jcrew.com. Unfortunately, the dress I really liked was out of my budget (over $300) and had a train (I didn't want to go dragging around sand while I walked down the aisle). I did buy the short version of the dress for a wedding I'm attending to in a few months.

I had a very private ceremony and didn't not want a traditional dress but still something "Bridal". 3 weeks til the wedding I decided I was not happy with a dress I had bought off the rack -- at least not for my wedding. I ordered 4 dresses from Nordstrom.com (1 in 2 different sizes). Tried them all on and returned the 3 I didn't like. No problems. I had a beautiful dress that fit like a glove for less than $500.

Nordstrom is known for its customer service, and they didn't fail here. When I was searching for a dress, I wanted something simple and sleek. I'm not a 21 year old with a princess complex - the idea was more "40s movie star" than "poufy cupcake dress". Norstrom's online wedding shop had just what I needed. The original price for my simple ABS gown was about $330, and I purchased it in a 6 and an 8. When the 8 was far too big, Nordstrom was happy to take it back. Then when the gown went on sale for $160 and I decided to get a 4... well, they exchanged it without hassle and refunded the difference. This is a great way to save money on what can be an unnecessarily large expense.
